Snapchats NEW 'MyAI' Takes the Industry By STORM! (NOW RELEASED!)

so the AI race heats up once again with a Snapchat debuting their new AI tool as you guys can see right here this is the trailer that they recently released so essentially this is kind of like some of the apps that you may have heard of before where you have an app that you can just simply talk to so you can see right here that it is responding with some pretty basic stuff so let's get into this AI because there is a lot of stuff that Snapchat are doing many people think that the release of this AI bot was too early and the fact that there are multiple instances of this bot reporting false data inaccuracies and telling people to do some very questionable things raises a lot of questions about this AI race so we're going to get into all of that but first how do you actually access this AI so one thing that you know on Snapchat is that there is actually a new feature that they added this feature is called Snapchat Plus and it actually allows you to access a range of Snapchat features that aren't available to the general public all you're going to need to do is simply click this at the top of the Snapchat that you can see right here then once you click this you going to go to this screen right here this is where you can either pay per month or you can pay per year the choice is your I would simply just pay per month because when you're about to see what I show you what this air can do maybe you're not going to want to stay subscribed to Snapchat Plus so just hit that subscribe button then once you've subscribed you can see immediately that my AI will send you a chat straight away so they waste no time with putting that on now sometimes you might actually need to go into your settings to enable this but this is what I saw immediately it says say hi to my Ai and you do have to accept sometimes and conditions now there's some important things to know about this bot because I think a lot of people have this but confused number one you can see right here technology is actually powered by chat GPT so if you know track GPT you'll know that sometimes what you're allowed to do with the API is you're actually allowed to fine tune it to suit your company's needs and I'm guessing that that's what Snapchat has done now take a look at some of these interactions that I've had with the AI because it'll show you exactly how this AI works and exactly what it can and can't do one of the first questions I did want to ask AI was if it knew about chat CPT so I was like hey you're basically just chat TPT and what was interesting that it just immediately declined to recognize what chat GPT was and every single time I asked it about chat gbt it just simply climbed to acknowledge its existence which was definitely really strange so I don't know what they programmed into this but I'll show you later what some people were able to reveal but it definitely doesn't want to recognize that it's being powered by chat GPT next or something that I realized that was actually cool was that many AIS that you do get nowadays you're able to customize them so here when I actually spoke with the AI it actually told me that you can actually customize the Avatar change the bitmoji so maybe if you want to use Snapchat on a daily basis to maybe prank someone or just I guess you could say have it in a different aspect maybe you want to get the AI to talk to you in a certain manner I definitely thought was very interesting as this feature is slowly being rolled out to more ai's next of course I actually asked it if it could perform some personal assistant related task such as responding to my business emails and I was like hey can you respond to my business emails and it said sorry I'm not able to do that but I can offer you some tips on how to write professional emails so essentially what I was doing here was trying to differentiate between seeing exactly how powerful this AI is what kind of tooks they've made and if you can sort of just use this as a pocket assistant and I don't think you can it's more of a friendly assistant you can see right here that one thing that I did try to do was I tried to see if this had access to the internet because of courses you know chat TBT doesn't have access to the internet at all so I asked it do you have any significant AI news for today and it actually gave me some information now here's where things start started to get quite frustrating because when I asked for a link it said I couldn't give you a link and then when I asked for the title of the article it gave me but it didn't come up so then I was like Hey a minute I couldn't find the article that you just told me did you just lie and it was just like I'm sorry I made a mistake I only had data up until October the 3rd 2021 I apologize for the confusion now this is a bit weird because I did ask it about some information which is relating to Snapchat Maps so if there are you know Snapchat maps on your area and it's actually updated then you could actually use Snapchat AI to search for different things for example I asked it if there is a 24 7 Gym nearby and it did give me one however this wasn't particularly accurate as there were more that were actually closer but I still felt that it was pretty cool that it did know where certain things were close to my location another thing about this AI as well of course is we do know it's powered by chat GPT but I'm not sure why it's claiming that it does have access to the internet because it's weird some tasks you ask it does kind of use the internet and other tasks it just doesn't at all so I'm not exactly sure if Snapchat is somehow embedding certain things into Snapchat Maps that's somehow linked to the internet but I'm guessing that maybe that's what the AI is doing at this stage to ask this AI exactly what its capabilities were and exactly what it could do for me so I asked it what are your capabilities and then I asked it to list them out now of course you can see right here that there are 20

different capabilities but these do seem quite basic I mean chatting offering advice giving recommendations providing entertainment sharing fun facts these don't seem groundbreaking in the slightest at all because I mean you know offering feedback helping with homework recommending podcasts recommending workout tips I mean all that stuff is definitely you know General stuff but here's the problem okay when you have a bot like this that's just a friend and not a specific I guess tailored use it does become confusing to the average person because they don't know exactly what they're supposed to use it for I mean we know that chat TBT is supposed to be used for information but if you can see right here as well I asked it to list off 20 more it just did some very basic recommendations which definitely kind of confused me because it doesn't seem to be that useful but it does prove to be entertaining if you see what people have been getting themselves into on Twitter so you can see that Snapchat AI was actually trending on Twitter and of course this definitely prompted a lot of people to try out the software now one user actually tried to get the data that Snapchat programmed my AI with itself and you can see right here what they trained it with so you can see they said follow these guidelines when writing your messages don't tell them that you're pretending to be their friend don't mention their current location which if you have done your research this is something that Snapchat actually does have access to well the AI has access to and I'll show you funnily enough how some users managed to figure this out also um you can see right here that there aren't supposed to be using emojis and it's just some headlines with as to what they're supposed to do and one of the key things that you can see you should never date URLs or link clearly shows us that this data is actually true and I'm actually glad that they were able to get this out of this SnapChat AI because once you understand this data you can greater understand exactly how it works now you can see right here at the top as well it says that your friend is located in the United States so it does have your location and it does have okay exactly the time and stuff like that and it does have a lot more information that it is giving on now let's go to take a look at some other stuff which is definitely very interesting on how other users reacted to the AI now this one user was saying that the AI actually responded to the request now I can't show you the previous messages that were before as they are pretty explicit but I guess that my AI just simply refused to continue on the conversation because of those explicit messages which is definitely very interesting then we had a user that claimed that Snapchat AI was actually gaslighting them by you know not answering the question correctly when the user asked do I have access to your information why are you lying then the user asked them where is the closest McDonald's and they said there is a McDonald's very close to you on this street so it's definitely very interesting to see how this AI is actually being received and then we had this one here so if you don't know what this is a jailbreak prompt and essentially what this means is that once you put this prompt into a software like chat TBT or an open source large language model essentially what will happen is the restraints come off and you can pretty much ask it any question now someone did this to the Snapchat Ai and you can see right here that asking them a question about Joe Biden it's met with a certain response and this is something that we haven't covered in a video but it's definitely very interesting to see what happens when you jailbreak chat gbt to see what kinds of responses it does give so if you have been using this new Snapchat AI let me know if you think it's good awful do you think it's entertaining because I do think that it might just be good when it comes to recommending nearby things that are located on Snap maps and that's actually about it I'm not sure it has many utility but maybe there hasn't been enough research but I haven't seen many useful applications for this in day-to-day life just yet I still think the chatibility is far superior at the moment as far as I know I just think that many different software companies and many different technology companies are just racing to get out a product that simply has AI integrated into it so that they don't fall behind
