The Trap 99% of Creators Fall Into

99% of people who try to make money on Facebook by posting quotes and AI content will fail because they don't have the audience. on camera presence, the charisma, and the years of content experience that it requires to build that type of audience. They're starting from zero and competing against people who've been doing this for a decade. So, in this video, I'm breaking down exactly why that path fails for 99% of people, and I'm giving you the system that works even if you're starting from zero. While we're talking about why 99% of people fail at Facebook content monetization, and you're going to be getting ideas about how to succeed, if that's the path that you're choosing, I really want you to keep your eyes open for the realistic path that the 1% can actually take and still change the quality of life they have just by posting this same type of content on Facebook, but with a new mission, a new purpose, and a new outlook or strategy for how to actually make money on Facebook. And one of the
0:55

The "Easy Money" Myth

biggest problems is that most of the content that you see around Facebook monetization and I'll be honest in YouTube in general is that everybody's going to sell you on the possibility of what's possible. Like it's possible that you can make 8 to$12,000 just by posting quotes. It's possible that you can go viral overnight. It's possible that you can get $100,000 followers fast. I've done the same thing. It happens sometimes, but it's very rare and it's not something that's always sustainable. And the reason that these type of titles are so subductive is because we are looking for something that doesn't require a lot of work. A lot of people are already overworked, they're stressed, and they're looking for a way to bring in some additional income without having to put out a lot of effort. And while each of these are technically true, they're not the full story. If you look at this iceberg at the very top, this is what people see just 20%. They see people going viral really easy. They see people with high financial rewards on Facebook. Oh, I'm just posting the content. I'm just posting videos and I'm making $2 $3,000. And that's no knock at them. That's no

The Iceberg Illusion (What You Don't See)

shade at them. But the full story is when you actually take a long and deep look at these individuals, you start understanding that they have years of pre-existing skills. Some of them have worked in theater. backgrounds in doing comedy shows. Some of them have a [clears throat] lot of professional skills that they actually bring to the table. Some of them have been videographers. They've edited for major production companies. They've done so many different things that they bring to the table that you just don't have. You have to learn these skills from scratch just to compete with them. And then when you start looking at their socials across the entire internet, you see that they have three or 400,000 followers on Instagram. another 800,000 followers on Tik Tok. They have a YouTube channel with 600,000 subscribers. People know who they are, but nobody knows you. And that's who you're competing against. They do this as a full-time job 365 days a year. And many times they have a full team and sometimes production team that's helping them edit the content, that's helping them keep things organized, that's helping them script videos and so many other small details that actually go into a smooth workflow or media company because in truth that's how some of these larger creators are operating at the highest level. But you're just a single person and this is who you're competing against. So many people's attention is drawn to the tip of the iceberg, what they can see, but nobody is factoring in the level of effort, sacrifice, and skill that it requires to actually achieve that. And so the truth is there's a lot that goes into it. You need on camera charisma.
3:40

The Missing Ingredient for Success

You need years of personal branding or at least dial in your personal branding. There's existing audiences, creative instincts that people have, high volume tolerance, like are you able to post three to 10 times a day? consistently with different original content and do you have that it factor and on top of all of that you have these six particular roadblocks that actually keep people from making money in that program. Now the first one is simply
4:07

Why the System is Rigged Against You

this. When you turn on Facebook
4:09

Delete Your Friends (Seriously)

professional mode, Facebook turns your friends into followers. They're still on your friends list, but they're now followers and so they see your content. And the problem with friends on Facebook is they do not engage with your content. People on Facebook are lurkers and lookers. That's all they're going to do. And you need to build an audience of strangers. Strangers engage with your content across Facebook, across Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube. It doesn't matter. You need strangers. You don't need your friends and family. And so, if you choose to go that route, you just like, "Hey, Corey, I hear what you're saying, but I still just want to go this route. " Then the first thing you need to do is find you some automation software or just use your thumbs and fingers every day and manually delete all of your friends and family. Just get rid of them. Maybe keep your family around, but everybody else just delete them off of your account or just shut that account down, deactivate it, start a new Facebook, and hope to get invited to the Facebook content monetization program. Because truth be told, I'm just letting you know up front, they are not going to engage with your content. So, don't waste your time trying to get your friends and family that love you and care about you to actually do something to help you with your content. The next thing is you're going to get paid pennies per view. Everything is counted as views right now. Whether it's a real, whether it's a photo, whether it's a quote, it's going to be counted as a view. The next thing is the LC penalties. A lot of people try to find ways to repurpose other people's content, which is another problem. You lack that creativity. You lack the graphic design skills. or you just don't know how to use the various AI tools that are present that will create beautiful graphics for you, but even then you still fall into the problems of the first two. You're getting paid pennies per view and you have people that you're posting it to who they're just not going to engage with your content. do it. They're only there for life updates. That's how they treat Facebook. And so if you're really serious about them, I'm going to say it again, get rid of these people here. The next thing is the algorithm bias. Have you ever noticed
6:04

The Danger of Building on "Rented Land"

that every platform favors the people who are at the top? When I open YouTube, it's almost as though the home screen is curated by the top echelon of creators. And I don't think that it's a bias as much as it is we're trying to present people who come to our platform with the best content. And so for them to give the small guy a chance, the small guy actually has to demonstrate the capability of keeping people's attention, they have to show sparks of success, so to speak, because if they just start pushing a lot of newer creators to the forefront, and then people don't stay on the platform as long, they lose money every time that happens. And so naturally, the best creators are going to be on the home screen. They're going to be at the top of the reals feed. And the newer creators are going to be loaded at the bottom of the reals feed. And so, can I see your content? Absolutely, if I stay in the feed long enough. And luckily, Facebook is still one of the websites that is one of the most visited in the world after Google and YouTube, I believe, or after Google. But how long are people actually staying on the platform? And are they going to be in the reals feed where you post your content or the news feed? And how many posts do they have to scroll through before they actually see my posts? These are all things you have to factor in. And even though Facebook has now ended all of the bonuses and we're inside the Facebook content monetization phase, there's no guarantee that they're going to do this forever. They've paid out1 to2 billion over the last several years. But platforms like YouTube are paying out 15 to 16 every single year, just to give you some perspective on how much they're paying out. And the last roadblock to actually being successful in this program is that you're building on rented land. You don't own the platform. algorithm. You don't own the reach. They're not your followers. You can have 500,000 followers on Facebook, but they don't owe you the right for your content to be shown to all of them. You have to keep earning that right. So even if you do become a massive creator, you still have to maintain a standard of quality so that your content remains preferred by the platform so that it can be distributed to more people and hopefully your followers who will engage with it the most and help you earn the most. And so the struggle really isn't about how to create better content. It is if you just want to play that game. But the real question is what game am I going to play? play the game they're offering me to play where I try to create better content, keep people on the platform longer, so they can monetize it with ads, so they can make millions, and then give me a tip? Or am I going to play an entirely new game, a game that's based on probability, evidence, a game that I actually have a better chance of winning at. And so the choice is yours. So if you want to just do the Facebook content monetization game, then this is where you leave the video. But if you want to learn another way of posting content on Facebook that actually helps you make money that can change your quality of life, then keep watching. The beauty about this system is that you can remain relatively unknown. People will most likely not know who you are. You also have a mindset shift because now instead of us just posting a piece of content and waiting to see what Facebook does, we have expected outcomes with the content that we post. And success requires a product and a distribution channel, not just content that we're posting and waiting to see what Facebook gives us. The rewards are moderate. They're nowhere near the monthly thousands of dollars that you're making uh if you go viral on Facebook, but they're reliable. They're something that you can count on because there is a certain amount of control that you could exercise over this. And so the result is that the math actually works for normal people. But unless you're able to make a mindset shift, then you're not going to embrace this path. And if you do embrace the path, you'll go back to your old
10:09

Stop Being Facebook's Employee

ways. And so the mindset shift you have to make is go from being an employee for Facebook to a business owner. Most people have an employee mindset. I just want to go to work. You do the business boss. You do the hard work boss. You get all the customers. You make sure everything's working in the background. You make all the money. And then just pay me for playing my part. And my part, I just want to post content for Facebook. YouTube creators do the same thing. Well, my part is I just post videos on the platform. They don't have anything to offer their audience. They don't have any way for the audience to actually engage with them on a deeper level. It's just, hey, you do all the work. I'll just post the content and I want to get paid for that. And most of the time, what that's going to lead to is frustration. So, how do you know if you've made the shift or not? Well, one of the thing is look at the things that people with employee mindsets say. Number one is, "Please pay me. " If you're complaining about Facebook payouts, you probably still have an employee mindset. And that's not me taking a dig at you. That's just me helping you understand that you're looking to them to reward you for your content appropriately when there is another path where you can use your content for your own means just with a simple mindset shift. The second thing is you realize that the payouts are unreliable, but you keep following after them month after month. You feel like you're dependent on the platform and the energy that you have is waiting and hoping. Every time you post some content, you're staring at the analytics. You're checking it 15, 20 times a day to see how the post is doing, to see how much is made. But when you make the shift, your new mindset is how can I use this? You look at your distribution on Facebook when it comes to creating a piece of content. How can I use this to drive traffic to my website, your income source, it's your own products. And when it comes to your own products, there are so many different things that you can do. Now, here I have digital products because I know a lot of new creators are purely digital creators. But you could be a creator and you can have a brick-andmortar local business or you could have physical products that you sell in your Shopify store. or you could be an affiliate marketer where you sell other people's products and earn a commission. So many other different ways that you could monetize the traffic that you're generating for Facebook. When you've made this mindset shift, your relationship to the platform changes instead of you looking at Facebook and be like, "Oh man, Facebook is robbing me. Facebook is this. Facebook is that. " you feel empowered by the platform because you start realizing, hear me out, because I know that engagement is down on Facebook and I know that Facebook is not the most popular platform in the US and Canada and Great Britain, New Zealand, Australia, and several other countries. I understand that. But when it comes to online marketing, selling digital products, etc., Facebook is still one of the top platforms for businesses to actually operate on. It is still a money maker for businesses. There's so many different ways for you to get in contact with your customers. Now, you look at the energy. The energy is strategic and controlled because you understand the math of what you're actually doing. And the key tools for distribution are the platform itself. Once again, so many different ways Facebook gives you to actually monetize your audience. All you need to do is execute this simple four-step system. And the first step is just getting mission clarity. Be clear about why you're creating the content and who you're creating it for. When people go to the theater, when families gather together on holidays, they're gathering for a purpose. And so, get clear about your mission, your purpose that is going to gather people together.
13:48

The One Asset They Can't Take Away

Number two, you need to own your audience. Number three, create a micro offer. It doesn't have to be a full offer. And number four, use Facebook as your distribution. And to be honest, even though this is a Facebook video, you can use YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, Pinterest, or any other platform that you feel comfortable with. So, keep watching. But if you don't feel comfortable with Facebook, then just plug in another platform. Now, getting clear on your mission is probably one of the easiest things for you to do. But actually owning your audience, one of the more difficult ones. And so, I really want to stress to you the importance of this because this is where a lot of creators get hung up. They don't want to build an email list. offer a lead magnet or something in exchange for people to join their email list. They just don't want to do it. And the reason why is because they haven't made the mindset shift. And so, if you shift, you shouldn't be watching the video right now. But if you are, I really want you to look at the importance of it. Now, if you look over here, Meta has the deed to your home. They can shut your account down whenever they get ready. They can say that you have limited originality of content whenever they get ready. your page is no longer recommended and you can watch your engagement and your reach go down with your earnings overnight. They can hold your payments. There are so many different things that they can do. And a lot of people will tell you who've had pages for a very long time on Facebook that it's almost something every other month when it comes to the payouts for most creators. But if you look over here, if you start building your email list and you start building a list where you can get in contact with people outside of Facebook, you hold the keys. You can email them a couple times a week just to stay in touch once a week, once a month. It's your choice or it's actually your choice and theirs. However many times you can message them and stay in touch without being aggravating, right? The next thing is you have a solid foundation. You can build a predictable income engine by selling your own micro offers. Doesn't have to
15:46

The "Tiny Product" Revenue Hack

be anything big. You don't have to be a coach or a guru and expert. You can offer smaller digital products or smaller physical products. You don't even have to sell this much. Right? Then you have favorable financial math. I'm going to show you in just a minute how predictable this income can be. and you have clear skies ahead because you understand that in order for you to make an income online, then you have to post so much content, generate so much engagement, drive so much traffic, and it's not tied to how much Meta is willing to pay you for how that content performs. And so, let's talk about this here. Number one, you can get specific or stay broke. So, define who you help and what problem you solve in a single sentence. I help this specific person solve this specific problem in this specific way. Now, if you're a comedian, this works for you, too. Maybe you create comedy for a certain group of people, and the problem you're solving is boredom, right? So, there's always a way for you to dial this in. Step number two, you need to move from rented to own. So now instead of your Facebook followers just being on the platform or you having 200,000 people as followers, maybe you have 20,000 people on your email list and that's worth so much more. You might say, "Well, I don't have a digital product that I can create as a comedian. " And you might be right, but there are still other products that you could recommend to that audience as an affiliate marketer. You can drive traffic to your Amazon affiliate store. And if you're driving traffic for 20,000 people to Amazon, I can only imagine how much money you're going to make from the commissions from those sales. Because as I mentioned in another video, with Amazon affiliate marketing, all you have to do is get people to the site. And if they make any purchase after clicking your link, you're going to earn a commission of that purchase. Simple as that. But now, let's briefly talk about
17:34

The Math Behind Predictable Income

the math. So, let's just say that you have 500 to 2,000 people on your email list and you have a product that is $97 and you only get a 1 to 3% conversion rate. That means that every month you can make anywhere from $485 to $5,820 just by selling a $97 product to a small email list. And so, I just want you to take a brief look at this or take a screenshot of it because you don't need fame to do this. All you need to do is hit your numbers every month. You're not focused on going viral. You're just focused on being consistent. So, for a lot of people to get paid $5,000 or close to $6,000 from Facebook, you need to have millions of views. I don't know exactly how many million, but you need to have millions of views on your content. Whereas, to make that same amount of money, you only need a couple of thousand of emails if you're dialed in on who you help and your audience is who those people are. Let's just say that you are a creator who's generating millions of views a month on Facebook or any platform for that matter. Imagine if a small percentage of those people every month were joining your email list. Every month you were adding an additional 30 to 40,000 people to your email list because you had a small call to action pinned in the comments or place somewhere in the post where people could actually join your email list. And you were building that audience, your owned audience. And even if you didn't have your own product, you could still partner with other people. There are people who will pay you for access to your audience. It's the same thing as sponsored content on YouTube. They will pay very large amounts of cash for you to send out a series of emails to that audience, recommending their products or just giving them a link to their website and so forth. And so the process is very simple. Today, the number one thing you need to do is just decide, I'm going to stop chasing views. comparing myself to famous creators. I'm going to stop trying to be internet famous and I'm going to focus on a more predictable path. I'm not going to buy into the hype of going viral every single day or becoming this creator that's at the top 1% of Facebook. That's difficult to do on a very saturated and a platform that has seen its best days. The next thing is you got to know who you help. So you need to create a one-s statement. I helped this person with this problem in this way. Then you need to start building your list. Start collecting emails. A good platform is Kit, formerly known as ConvertKit, but kit. com kit. Easy to use platform. They even provide forms, landing pages, etc. The next thing is you need to create a micro offer. And an offer is simply a product, a service, or some type of experience that you can offer that actually solves a problem for people or that gives them something else they want more of. Some people have communities where they offer additional behind-the-scenes content. People actually pay for that. They want to get to know the people whose content they're consuming because there's a major shift happening right now where creators have this new earning potential that most of them just are not tapping into. This is why you see a lot of movie stars collabing with people like Jordan Stallion because creators actually have in a very specific regard more influence than celebrities do. Creators are the new celebrities. And then the next thing is use Facebook or if you don't like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok, Pinterest, Rumble, doesn't matter. Use the platform as your distribution system. And what this creates is a predictable income. Now, I understand
21:16

Your New Roadmap

that a lot of these things may be new to you, like coming up with a mission, creating an offer, creating a product, and everything that we just talked about in this video. And if that's the case, in a couple of weeks, I'm going to be launching a new program for professional creators, who are not chasing platform payouts, who are focused on building a business and building their own audience and making their own income. And if you want to be on the wait list for that program, I'm going to put a link in the description. All you have to do is fill out the form and you'll automatically be added to the list. And when the new program launches, I'll be in contact with the details. If you got value out of this video, make sure you hit the like button, subscribe to the channel, and if you have the opportunity to hype it up and help it reach more people, please help me out and do that. And as always, take care, have a good day, and I'll see you in this next video where I show you how I create YouTube videos just like this one in 10 minutes using AI.
