Segment 1 (00:00 - 05:00)

Hey guys, welcome to another vlog. This vlog is going to focus on some final shop prep because it's currently Saturday and I'm launching the shop on Wednesday. So, by the time you're watching this vlog, the shop update will have just happened. I'm releasing the long- aaited coloring book and nine sticker sheets and one new t-shirt design and then restocking gallery cats gallery dogs. So, kind of like a medium size shop update. No new big collection dropping, but the coloring book is a pretty big exciting item for me anyway. And yeah, as I said, it's Saturday. It's noon right now. I spent my morning watching TV. We've been watching A Night of the Seven Kingdoms. That's the new Game of Thrones show, and it normally airs on Sundays, but it's not going to air this Sunday, so they played it on Friday instead or released it on Friday because the Super Bowl's on Sunday. So, we watched that. and also two episodes of the traitors cuz I'm behind on the current season. Um, by the time I started there were already seven episodes out and now there's an eighth episode out. So, I really got to catch up. I we we've just started episode 6. We always watch the beginning of an episode and then turn it off because we want to see who was murdered. We don't let those cliffhers get us. No, unless we're caught up with the show, of course. Why is there a huge truck driving down the path? Sir, that looked way smaller and farther away than it actually looked in real life. That's a walking path. But there are sometimes vehicles if it's like city maintenance of the pond and park and whatever. Fen hair cuz it's just a little bit wet still from my shower. I'm having another pajama day. I just saw these and I wanted to wear them cuz I don't wear pants to bed, pajama pants. So, I don't get to wear them that much. And these ones are just so cozy and I love a thin pant and it matches my gallery cat's shirt. So, it was perfect. So, the shop update to-do list. Uh, we were gone for a week to Mexico and then came back and now it's like full steam ahead to try to get this shop update happening ASAP and I've committed to a date so we're locked in. So, here's the list. photograph the coloring books and then edit the photos. Also need to edit the sticker sheet photos. I've taken them but not edited them. One thing not on the list is I need to just post the announcements of the shop update date. I just don't know if I should take more pictures for that. The only thing left to photograph is the coloring book. So maybe I could just use like my digital version of the cover for like the email and whatever else and then just edit a few sticker sheet photos. I mean, I probably just edit them all today, but am I taking the coloring book photos today? I don't know. And once all those photos are edited, I need to add them to listings. I did get the rest of the apparel photos done the other day. So, those are all added to the listings. At least the flat mockup photos. I need to add all my flat items to my letter mail settings. Not the coloring book, though. It's too heavy and borderline too thick once it's in the envelope. Uh, I need to cut the remaining DTF transfers for the gallery pets and add that inventory to my materials manager cuz that materials manager app, it tracks my t-shirt blanks and sweatshirt blanks. But I'm also going to have it track how many transfers I have, especially cuz I have three different sizes of transfers for different shirt sizes. And so, yeah, that will also just track how many transfers I have left. And if something runs out, then the item will be out of stock. Um, I need to edit the US pricing for everything. The coloring book should be tariffree. The sticker sheets, since they're vinyl, there are US tariffs on them. And then the shirts as well. So, I got to like figure out how much of a tariff is on different items cuz the rate varies and increase the pricing for Americans accordingly. I have to sign all the coloring books. That's probably my biggest job that I have left cuz I ordered 750 of them and I doubt I will get them all signed before the shop update. But I would like maybe like at least 400. I would like 4 to 500 signed just so my bases are covered. And also got to figure out what I'm doing about the typo in the book. Like am I leaving it? Am I covering with a sticker or I'm going to try to cover it with the signature? I thought of one way it would work is if like the J of Bailey J cuts up over it and then I cross the J at the top between the lines of text, but then the J is really tall and the B is not. H. But that' be like the quickest way to do it. Anyway, um I'm going to then password protect the website right before the shop update and reorder all the collections, make sure everything's appearing correctly, and restock the packing station, just refill all the bins, make sure everything's good to go, and get the new products put over there. And I didn't want to move all the prints off of like I have some of the prints in those buckets. Let me just show you. Most of the prints are in these bins, but then I have some over here cuz this

Segment 2 (05:00 - 10:00)

is where I used to store all the prints, but now I just have so many that they're in the vertical storage. So, I want to move all of these into the vertical storage. And then I'm thinking the sticker sheets can go on these stacking things and also do things like just top up all the piles of sketchbooks, refill this bin, top up this stack, all of these stacks, all the bins. All the stickers are here for everything, so that's fine. But like the washi bins need to be refilled, stuff like that. Just get it fully prepared cuz I will once again be packing alone while Christian works on apparel. Because there are so many color options, he can't pre-make any of the shirts cuz like there's also different designs you could get on shirts. And so we have to wait and see which variants come in and then he'll do them made to order. So, there's nothing he can really pre-make other than like pre-stitching out more of the embroidery zips because there's only one possible variant for those. Um, and he has been doing some of that. Um, but other than that, he can't really do any prep. So, he'll make the apparel while I pack orders. And in my last vlog, I mentioned how I ordered some boxes and packing supplies, but they were so delayed sending it out that I asked them to just hold it because I was going to be away on holiday and they were going to ship it just before I got back or like right after I got back. Um, they have not shipped it out yet. I don't know if they forgot about me. Maybe I should shoot them an email. I could probably get by without, but there are a couple box sizes I'm completely out of, which are my two smallest boxes. Um, but I suspect I'll be using a lot of rectangular boxes because of the t-shirts and coloring books. And I do have a lot of the rectangular ones. So, if that shipment's delayed, it'll be fine. Although, I did order some specific ones, like a new box type that's specific for the coloring books. It'll be a little sad not having those, but I could make do. This stack and this stack are all I have left for thank you cards. So, I did design a new one the other day. I don't even know if I want to show it yet cuz you know we have to get through these ones first. But yeah, this side will be the exact same. And then the back is different. And those should be here soon. Actually, they already shipped cuz I picked express shipping. I suppose if they're delivered during this vlog, I'll show them to you. And then promo posts and announcements. So, I need like the posts for after the shop update is live being like shop is up now, but then also the ones announcing the date like I was mentioning earlier. So, I kind of want to focus on prepping the photos so I can make those announcements ideally today. So, here are all my photos. Uhhuh. I'll go through, pick the best ones. Definitely not that one. And then I took three different photos for each. There's like the straight on top down, then there's a 3/4, and then there's also a closeup. So, three photos per sticker sheet. First step is pasting in all the photos, sizing them how I want, making sure things are relatively straight cuz maybe I took the photo on a slight angle. And then once they're all in here, I can color correct, brighten, whatever I need to do. Like the whites on these look a bit pink, so I'm going to have to fix that. All the photos are pasted in. And now since all of these sticker sheets have a pure white section to them, which is the border part, in theory, I could just use the dropper tool on the levels tool. So like clicking the white eyropper here and then clicking in the area that is supposed to be pure white. H do I like that? You can kind of click around too. It can vary. It does feel very green, but my photos always do tend to be a little too on the red side and so maybe that's why it feels weird to me. I also got to look at both monitors. Neither can be fully trusted. Now, this one's at an angle. So, it's like maybe wherever it's brightest, which would be down here, that's where I should click. Now, does that match the previous one? And that's the other thing is I got to compare the photos from different angles. Make sure they actually kind of match up. Now, this first photo, I'm going to go back to it just cuz the border feels a bit dark. I'm going to use the dodge tool around the edges to brighten it. Yeah, that's pretty similar. Okay, this might be an easy editing sesh. Although, I also should zoom in and look for any little cries, especially since these sticker sheets do have little black dots and stuff on them. The mystery crumbies. Okay, there's a tiny one there. a tiny duty dot. I don't know if you can see that. Touch the spot healing brush tool. There we go. Gone. This one's got that same dot. Anything else? There's kind of some over here. Was that on the previous one?

Segment 3 (10:00 - 15:00)

Sort of. Yes. Just not as visible. Tiny hair there. This is more zoomed in, like more of a closeup so I can see the dots easier. Okay, that looks pretty good. That was quite quick. Now I got to do that to the rest of the photos. There are some where I need to change the color of some background stuff or like for the bunny ones. There's this Gigi on the cup. I'm going to get rid of the Gigi. Possibly put the teddy bear face on it, but at least just remove the Gigi. And then for the gaming one, everything that's red, I'm going to change the color to pink. And then even the black on the Joycon. I might see about changing that. Like maybe if I can make it white, it would match a bit better. But other than that, the fixes should be pretty straightforward. This is my lunch, if you will. Late lunch, cuz it's like 2:00. My dip to chip ratio is all wrong. I have to get more chips. These are more like crackers, but I also have these little corn scoop chips. Might grab some of those. I don't think I'm going to get much done today. I was getting so tired working on the photos, which I'm not done, by the way. Still have to work on that. But I realized it was probably because I had ASMR videos playing on the side. So, I'm going to stop that. Um, I just pulled up some of the Olympic stuff. I haven't watched anything yet, but I'm currently watching the Switzerland Canada women's hockey match. I just tuned in. We're at the end of the second period already. Corn scoops. scoops. But yeah, I got to finish up my picture editing and then I might do some clean up here. I've got cables and stuff everywhere. I have a whole secondary stream setup going because yesterday was game stream day, but I was struggling to get my vlog exported because usually the vlog is done being edited by Tuesday to be posted on Friday, but my first day back to work after getting back from vacation was Tuesday. And so I was playing catch-up on the vlog edit, but then also anytime I tried to render it out, export it, it would crash or like the export would fail. and it would do it like 2 plus hours into the export process cuz it was a 3-hour export. So, Thursday I couldn't get the export to work. Friday, work in the morning in time for the vlog to go up at 10:00. So, I was still exporting on my main computer. And then I set up a second stream setup so I could still do the live stream cuz I had no idea how many more export attempts it was going to take. Thankfully, around 300 p. m. it did wrap up, which was great, but I just kept streaming from the art desk. Played some Animal Crossing, got a couple more rooms done in my mall. So, yeah, I'll keep working until supper time. Christian's going to cook some ribs and other stuff, and we're going to watch a movie while we eat cuz we do our monthly movie themes, and this month's theme is romance. So, I don't know what his movie is, but I know it's a sports romance. And then I just picked out my movie today. I'm going to go with Emma, like the 2020 movie. Emma, that's a romantic comedy. So, we'll watch mine some other time. Not tonight. We'll just watch his then maybe more Traitors. So, a pretty lowkey Saturday. Dark blueish. And then, huzzah. Wow. Trying to clean up some of these hairs coming off the twine. and dodge tool. Red parts. Pink. Red. Pink. Oh yeah. Let's cover up that gamer gunk. Now on the Joy-Con, I switched the black joystick and edge piece to be pink. That was tricky cuz the black is so dark. So I have to lighten it without it looking stupid. Just don't look too close. I just brightened this pink a little bit. So this was the before after just so it looks less red and less attention grabby. And now I have to do these same tweaks for the other two angles. Well, wait. The closeup. No, we don't need to touch anything for the close-up. It'll just be this 3/4 view. Wait, we only see the heart in the three/arter view. Yes. Fourth goal for Canada. Yes. Red, pink, red, pink. Okay, now watch Gigi disappear. Phase one. Phase two. And another one.

Segment 4 (15:00 - 20:00)

All right, it's now Sunday. First things first, let's show the pictures I was editing yesterday. And those photos have been added to the listing. So, the listing work is almost done. Still needs this the coloring book listing. Almost said sketchbook there. Uh, and then the inventory for the DTF sheets. And now for the movie. Last night, we watched Christian's movie. I was talking about that earlier. The movie ended up being Wimbledon, which is the tennis movie. So many actors I recognize of that movie. I was nuts. And the movie was okay. It was like a fun little romance movie. Not something I'll probably watch again, but it was fine. And then we watched Traitors, so I'm officially fully caught up. And then this morning, folded a crap ton of laundry and put it away and cleaned up the kitchen. And now here we are. I didn't get around to actually making the post yesterday announcing the shop date, so I'm going to do that. Technically, people who've seen my last vlog or even the live stream prior to that already know the date, but I'm just putting it in again, like putting it out there on my other social media and sending the email, which is probably the most important. So, I'll quickly do that and then we're going to cut the DTF transfers. Oh, and outfit of the day, little ducky boxy tea. but with a long sleeve shirt underneath. This is actually so cute. Okay, here's the email. I'm sending that right now. For social media post, I think I do want a picture of the actual coloring book. So, might hold off on that. At least my main platforms like my YouTube and then the email notifications, those are taken care of. And I will be posting again on launch day on all platforms to remind people of the drop. All right, the table's cleared off and wiped down. I have six different rolls here because we have six variants. There are three different transfer sizes. And then there's the cat variant and dog variant. So, just grab them one at a time, I guess, and get cutting. This ceiling light will not turn on. I don't know why. It's just misbehaving. My Google says four or five lights are on and I'm like, "Yeah, can you turn on the fifth one, though? " But there's enough window light right now. I've also got this ring light up here to add a little extra. So, I'll be fine until it gets dark out. So, this is size three, the biggest. It's for 3XL, 4 XL, 5 XL. Okay, that actually was not that bad. It fell to the floor, but it looks like it's pretty short. The whole sheet was printed twice. Cut off the Bailey J logos first. Then the lockets are down here. I'm excited to see this design on the new shirt blanks cuz we're going comfort colors this time. And I have nine different blank colors. Although this will be available on eight different colors cuz this won't really show up well on ivory. So I'm not making it available on ivory, but it's available in every other color. So way more options now. So yeah, on this side we have intact full transfers. And then we have some that are cut in half just to fill the sheet better. Fill the gang sheet. So I have to tape some back together. So this is my center line. It's not in the center, but it's where we got to split this and cut across this way. And every time I cut these, I forget my methods of like where exactly to cut to piece the two halves together. And because I think on some sheets I

Segment 5 (20:00 - 25:00)

have the transfer split top and bottom. For this one, the transfers are split down the middle. So that's probably why I haven't memorized how they go together is cuz it depends on the sheet. And I'll have to check these for flaws. Just make sure there's no like discoloration or anything. It's just plain white. So, I don't have to deal with that issue of the design, like the color layer not being aligned with the white layer cuz it is just white. But, I've had issues with these transfers with there being blue blobs on them. So, keeping an eye out for stuff like that. I swear there's one rogue pixel and I always have to scrape it off. Should check my files. There's always a tiny white dot where there shouldn't be. I'm going to cut that second sheet before I bother taping them together because I can just do them all at once. Oh, and I had a question about selling transfers, particularly the froggy ones. And I forgot that I was considering that back when I first was trying out DTF transfers. I was thinking of selling just the transfers alone for people who want to press them onto maybe a different type of garment or maybe they want it on a tote bag or something else that I don't offer. And I actually do quite like that idea. Although I don't think I'm going to offer that for this shop update. But u maybe we'll have some of those froggy transfers up for the froggy update just cuz I need to figure out like how I'm packaging it. And I want to have like an info sheet that explains how to heat press it, like time and temperature. Mention that you need the high pressure, stuff like that. Like there's a little bit of setup that goes into it, but I do quite like that idea. I don't know about these cat and dog ones cuz they're so big. But maybe for smaller stuff, I will sell individual transfers. I was just outside with Kiki for a little bit and so I decided to open up the catio. It's not super nice out, but it's pretty nice. I won't get too cold being near the window. My thermometer says it's almost 13° C. It was 19 the other day again. We had a couple days of 19 degrees in January and had another one this month, but I can't speak for all of Canada. Of course, Canada is huge. Apparently, out east, it's been pretty cold. This is what it's looking like outside. Most of the snow's melted other than areas where it was piled up and even the pond is losing most of its snow. It's mostly looking like ice right now. Took me forever to find this tape. It was between the heat press and the wall in that little crack. I didn't even know there was space for it there. All right, now just looking at what I need to cut off. Maybe a little closer here. Something like that. We just need one half cut closely so there's no overlap. Oh, this is maybe a bit long. It's kind of borderline. I know the horizontal one quite well. This vertical cut, I do not remember. I just hope the other half has enough overlap that I can tape this nicely. The top for sure. There's a big chunk of overlap there. Not so much at the bottom, but there's at least this section here. There we go. So, in my material manager app, gallery dogs, DTF size three, we have 10 of them. Oh, wait. But I should see what I have in my drawer already, like leftover from before, cuz yeah, I do like to keep one spare of blanks. And it makes sense to also keep a spare transfer just in case something goes wrong and we make a B-grade, we have a spare to make something with or like if someone's order goes missing and we need to make a replacement. So, hold on. Yeah, there's some in here. I might need to get some additional storage cuz having the froggies on top is not working. Especially when these big ones barely fit in the drawer as is. I need shelving kind of like this here. I've seen some where the the what is it called? The little slats pull out and it's easier to grab your transfers. Although, of course, these are too big for that. But for little transfers, it would work. I pulled these out just to make sure they're full size transfers and not the half transfers. So, we have three more dogs. So, 13 total. I'm going to list 12. You know, just for now, for this shop update, I might steal one of these racks. Maybe this rack, cuz everything's still packaged and therefore will stay together. I have so much sticker paper left. My gosh. And then the froggy transfers can go in here. And I don't know if Christian will have space for it in the embroidery room, but it' be an easy way for him to grab what he needs. Technically, there's two versions of each froggy transfer cuz there's ones that I set aside to just go on light colored fabric.

Segment 6 (25:00 - 30:00)

I'm going to drop it. They actually do fit side by side. So, there's the normal transfers, then the ones that I want on a light shirt only. They can just sit right next to each other. Size one, size two, size three. Boom. There we go. Oh, and we even have two more slots on the bottom in case I need to put anything else in there. And I've added some labels because why not? Okay, we're taking a brief pause from the transfers. Just I want to film a lot today, but like if I'm cutting transfers for 2 to 3 hours, that's like a waste of my filming time. I'll get back to it. I might be doing some of it in the evening, though. Um, I opened up the coloring page to test how I'm going to sign this. So, if I had thought ahead, I would have left a spot to sign the books. And I could do inner cover, but it's very slick and I'm scared it's going to take forever for the ink to dry. I want to sign page one. And we do have some space up here. Not as much up top here. It's actually cropped more than that in the actual book. So, there's a bit of space here. Bit of space there. And that's really it. But, it would be fun if I could sign it in such a way that we cover the typo. So, I'm here to test that out. I'm going to be using a gold Sharpie for all this cuz my thought was that the J for Bailey J could cut right there like covering the typo, but it would have to be crossed kind of high, right? Okay, turn smoothing off. That's messing with me. But then what about the Bailey? The thing with this is it cuts down into the swatches down below a bit, which might annoy people when they go to color that in. Plus, it's like the L and the B are covering some text as well. Like, at that point, it's not as legible. Plus, I got to make sure my J is lined up. I'm sure I'll get a sense of where to start the B. Like, if I start the B under the T. And I will have to test this on the actual pages because I don't know how thick this is compared to the actual Sharpie. Like that would be the quickest way to deal with the typo is sign right over it. But is that stupid? I mean, no matter where I sign it, it's going to look stupid. Like, if it was up in this corner, it's like Bailey J. Bailey J. And I'm going to have to update the digital download version. All these physical copies are going to include a digital download, too. So, I need to fix this typo and then update the download file. So, if you were someone who like previously downloaded it, you technically could download the new version without the typo. I'm not fixing that today, but just so you know, I will update the digital version at some point. The J is going to be so unnatural. The B and L have to overlap to match the J. Really? I could sign this page at the back. No, that would be boring. I'm going to do a test on the real thing now. This one here. This is when I tried adding the eye with a skinny pen, but it looks stupid. Now, this particular Sharpie is in pretty good shape. The tip hasn't frayed much yet, so it's a little skinnier than I anticipated. Honestly, I don't hate it. Again, it's centered. Really, I should have just left a space. If I had eliminated the spacing between paragraphs, we would have had enough room to sign there. But again, we're trying to cover the typo, so maybe it was meant to be squishy. So, yeah, I think that's the way to go. It's like not that bad, is it? Writing over the other text seems a bit silly. But now the other thing I'm asking myself is, am I going to partially color in an illustration for some of the product photos or will we just not have any colored in photos to start? Cuz I could choose one illustration and just do a small part of it just to show a page partially colored. And I also don't know how much I'm going to be coloring in my own book because I've already colored in all these illustrations. They all are fullcolor illustrations that exist. And it would be fun to color them in like an alternate color scheme, but that would take a while. Like I should just be making new art, you know? But then I'm like missing out on all the promo of my coloring book cuz obviously they're I could be doing live streams where I'm coloring in a page, but it's like well I don't really want to color in my own pages to be honest cuz like I said, I've already did. But of course it'd be fun to do an interesting color scheme like dark gothic duckies. Like

Segment 7 (30:00 - 35:00)

these are pumpkins. I did fall colors for this one, but I could do spooky colors. Also, signing is going to be annoying as a left-handed person, like just try to quickly open it. This cover's been cracked open by me, so like it's sitting quite flat, but I'm not going to do that to all the copies. So, I need to like, you know, if I was right-handed, I could just get in here like this. That'd be so easy. Here's one fresh out of the box. I mean, folding back the cover bits not so bad because there is already a crease there and that will probably flatten out and shipping. Plus, like once you crack the spine yourself in these books, it's going to make no difference cuz yeah, it's a bit stiff initially, but you can just get in there and the spine's durable. You can smoosh it flat. Like I was saying in my last vlog, it's sewn into signatures then glued. So that stitching really helps with the durability. And the Sharpie doesn't go through at all, actually. So that's nice. It's not gonna bleed through to the other side. I can't even barely see where I signed it. Store tip down. It says, I never noticed it said that on these. I have this on its side. I have one tip down at my packing station for a gold Sharpie. The rest are all on their sides. I'm excited to just start signing them, though. Can we skip ahead to that? But uh maybe I should cut a few more transfers first. Oh my god, we have light. I tried one more time to command the light on and it worked. The light just wanted to rest for a little bit. Okay, it didn't want to wake up first thing. It wasn't even first thing. It was like 11:00. I just realized via YouTube comment. I've been promoting the shop update in mountain daylight time, but it's currently standard time. Usually I know the difference. Usually I know daylight saving time is in the summer. And then for the email I just made, there was already text filled in there and I just changed the date and I'm like, "Yeah, daylight time. That's right. " Like still thinking daylight cuz that's what I've been saying. So I left it as MDT in the email. It's standard time. Mountain Standard Time. I'm at least going to get through size three cats right now. Then we'll see after if we'll continue with the sheet cutting this afternoon. I realize I'll save myself some trimming work if I trim off the Bailey J logo. in the shape I need for the cat section. Instead of just cutting off a rectangle and then having to cut closer later, just cut it like that to begin with. All right, let's take a break from DTF trimming to sign some books. At least the ones in this box. Most of the boxes are still upstairs and so I plan to sign the books upstairs on the dining room table and that should make things easier. I do still want to haul some of the boxes down prior to the shop update just to have a little stash down here. But otherwise, they'll just stay up there cuz it's going to fill up this room too much to bring them all down. But yeah, I can sign this box down here right now. Mind the corners. I don't want to bend the corners of the books. And after the books are signed, they're probably going to go straight back in here. But I'm going to take out all this stuff. There's foam corners that I'm going to take out cuz there's no way I can nestle the books perfectly back in there without bending the corners. So, I guess I'm just laying this here for now. I'm just so curious to know how this is going to go signing solo cuz I could get Christian's help. He could open the books for me and then I sign them. He sets them aside. Um although I feel like I actually need two assistants for that to be real efficient. Otherwise, I'm just like sitting here while he's putting the books away. Um but yeah, let me just try solo. See how it goes. And I have washi here cuz if the ink is not going to dry right away, I could use the washi roll to hold the cover up. And I don't have a lot of table space on here right now. I could take a bunch of this stuff off. But like I was saying, I'll be signing the bulk of the books upstairs. So, and I actually have to mind where I sign to cover the originally. Okay. I just realized if I do it this way, you're not going to see anything. You're

Segment 8 (35:00 - 40:00)

just going to see the cover. I should flip you to the other side of the table. But then this stack's going to be in your way. Did I smudge that slightly with my hand? Yes. Yes, I did. M. It still looks fine. It's good. But let's not do that. Cuz maybe I should just crunch. I didn't smear it, but it transferred onto my hand. Unless I didn't get it all off last time. I got a sign like this. Ah, I just threw the marker. It hit several surfaces on the way down before going tip down onto the floor. Well, the tip's smooshed. Now, you know, this does stay open. If I do the cover smoosh, it stays open and I don't need the washi. So maybe that's the way to go. Also, I should set down the marker when I smoosh the cover. That's why I need Christian. Or even if I just pre-lay out some books, cuz like they can overlap each other. Like I could have a bunch laid out with their covers open. I don't know. Oh yeah, this line's a lot thicker now. Yeah, I got to kind of hover a bit when I write J so I don't smudge. See, he wouldn't even have to pass me the book if he just kind of smooshes them open and lays them somewhere. Then I grab from that pile and then eventually he can clear out the signed ones. Cuz even just him like opening the boxes, pulling out the books, that would be such a big help as well. Build me some stacks like this. Ah, on this one. I made the J too low. What have I done? It is what it is. You can see the typo. Okay, that was not so bad for one box. One box minus two books, I think. Maybe three. I have two. Two laying out in here, one upstairs. Oh, this is one I just pulled out today. Let's sign that one. Then what I want to do is sleeve them up that way. They're pre-sleeved. It'll save time when packing orders. Um, and if someone orders sticker sheets or something else, it'll go in a separate sleeve. This is just a little something to protect the coloring book. And I debated getting a custom sticker for this. And then I was like, "No, no, you don't need to. " And I have a bajillion rolls of this washi. I just realized pre-sleeving these is probably not a good idea because I printed a barcode on the back to scan them in as I pack orders. And of course, I could do the thing where I just have a barcode on a shelf and scan that instead of the individual books. But I did this so that I can scan the books. I mean, I could pre-sleeve some of them. Maybe for now I focus on signing and then if there's time to sleeve them all before the shop update, I'll do that. And if not, then I won't bother because yeah, I can do the whole barcode on a shelf thing. Just seems like a waste considering I barcoded the book. It's not an ISBN or anything. It's just like my skew the skew for the book printed on the back cuz these are not going in any

Segment 9 (40:00 - 45:00)

kind of shop. I'm not selling them wholesale. It's just from my own store. And as this initial rush of orders passes, then I could stop sle them in advance and rely on the barcode on the back. But yeah, just for this initial rush, sleeving them ahead of time would be nice. I'm just running out of days because today's Sunday, tomorrow's Monday. And then Tuesday, I could get some stuff done, but that'll also be my main vlog editing day. So, and then shop updates Wednesday. And I have other things on my to-do list still other than signing books. I'll at least leave these ones now. So, it's just all done from that box. Having that extra space in the box worked perfectly for fitting them in their sleeves. I'm going to go back to cutting DTF now that I got that sketchbook stuff off my chest. I just wanted to see how that was all going to work. And I think what I'll do is I'll sign a bunch of them tomorrow with Christian's help. He will be doing some embroidery initially in the morning for any new orders that have come in. I know there are at least a few things for him to embroider. Um, and then yeah, maybe in the afternoon he can help me with the book signing process. Okay, really random thought. Something just came back to me about the Wimbledon movie. Um, this hotel room number was mentioned multiple times throughout the movie and it was 1221. And while watching the movie, I was like, wasn't that one of the heated rivalry room numbers? And I just looked it up. It is. What's with room 1221? So up here I have some partial transfers that were B-grades cuz if one section is a B-grade, I can still use other pieces from it. So I just cut the side off of this one. This is the piece and it's going to go here because this one's got a big black dot on the dog and it does show through to the other side. Actually, I think it's blue, not black. The blue dot strikes again. Although I haven't seen many of those, so it's been pretty good so far. a lot cleaner of a print out this time. But yeah, I can cut out this dog and then tape this one in its place. Tada. Okay, let me cross some stuff off my to-do list. Oh, wait, not that one. I meant to cross off this and add photos to listings and then cut the DTF. Still need to do this one. I don't know why I circled just the not crossed out part. Listen, my brain's mush right now. It's 7:30 and I could stay down here and get more stuff done, but you know, it is Sunday. Kind of itching to play some Animal Crossing cuz I recently got back into that since they added the new update. I realized last night though, I don't have the DIY recipe for the bookcase, the big bookshelf. I'm trying to make an outdoor library area and I don't have the bookshelf. Apparently, one of the ways you can get it is from lazy villagers when they're crafting inside their house. So, I need to make sure I'm stopping by people's houses cuz I have two lazy villagers on my island, I think, cuz I have Marty and uh Eric. Eric the moose. So, that's how I'm going to spend my evening. What the hell is this thing? It's so big. I barely played any Animal Crossing, by the way, cuz we watched Bridgetgerton two episodes. All right, it's now Monday. I did spend my morning editing. I got a ton done. There's like 35 minutes of edited footage, and I didn't get through all of yesterday's footage, but I did a good chunk of it. And so, that means I won't have too much to do tomorrow. Probably about the same amount of work I put in today. Now, there were three things Christian had to embroider today, which he did do. And then he installed beday onto the toilets. Well, he installed two. We have four toilets and then these are sold in some two packs. And I just wanted to see first if they would work on the basement toilet because I was convinced it was not going to fit cuz it's like this. It's like a solid piece between the bowl and the tank. And it has these raised lips on the back where the seat screws in, which is where the bedet would screw in. So, because it has that U-shaped lip, I was like, "It's not going to sit on there. " But, you know what? It kind of works. And even when Christian opened up the instruction booklet, it showed a picture of our toilet and said, "This does not work for this style of toilet. " And I was like, "No. " But, you know, it kind of fits. So, this is the style of toilet. And this is the lip I was talking about cuz this piece has to sit across it. So, luckily where it screws in, there's some wiggle room for how you can adjust the positioning of this front to back. But it is also slightly tilted. Like if you look down, you can see now the seat is slightly crooked, but that's fine by me. I'd rather have a slightly crooked seat with the bedet. It's just sitting a little further forward than I

Segment 10 (45:00 - 50:00)

would like, but it fits. And you can adjust the spray angle on this one. So, we can adjust accordingly. And I've been thinking about getting those little bedet attachments for at least 2 years now. I kept putting it off because I was wondering if we should get this style where it has its own little heated water tank cuz we have a friend's place we go to for karaoke nights and they have a bedet and it's just cold water and it's like an electric shock. Okay. It makes you jolt and so I was like, do I really want that? Um, but like to have a heated tank one you would need an electrical outlet to plug into. So we would need an electrician to come and rewire a bunch of stuff. And I was like, are we really going to do that for all four bathrooms? And you can get beday where they attach to the hot water under your sink, but it's still going to come out cold cuz you have to let the water run for a bit before it's even warm. So, I feel like if you want heated, you have to go electric. But you know what? I finally bit the bullet. Um, my sister-in-law was talking about the beds on our Mexico trip cuz they use it and they were sad that there weren't any here at the hotel. And they were saying you get used to the cold water. They said after about four or so days it doesn't phase you and it's actually a little refreshing and I was like okay you know what yes I'm taking the plunge. So we finally ordered them but just two like I said um to test it all out and seems like it's going to be good. I haven't had to use it yet but I just tested it out for fun and it seems okay. And we just ordered two more that will be here tomorrow so Christian can install those tomorrow. I just really wanted one down here because this is my main pooping toilet. Okay, I need one down here. Now, I need to get my button gear and pack up today's orders. And then as soon as that's done, Kristen's going to help me sign the coloring books. So, let's go. Now, I'm going to ship out a few coloring books. I know they're not for sale yet, but I'm sending these to a friend. She has two kids, so I'm sending three, like one for each of her kids, and one for her if she wants one. I don't know if she's going to use it at all, but I'm sending three. And that's because she was the one who was really pushing me to actually go forward with a coloring book cuz I've been meaning to do one for so long, like for years. Um, and then we were she was in town and we were having dinner together and she was like really encouraging me and really emphasizing how I should do it and I was like, "Yeah, I should just buckle down and get it done. " And I didn't do it immediately. Um, it took me like a year to start working on it, but it's here now. So, I just want to send her these as a little thank you. Maybe I'll throw in some sticker sheets as well. Her kids would probably like those. One of each. Why not? It says, "Thanks for giving me the push to finally make this coloring book. " Okay, that fits quite nicely. And throw the stickers on top. And then the little freebie. Let's stick this onto there. Okay, this fits three. This might even fit four coloring books this size of box. Yeah, I think it would. All right, now on to the eight store orders. Let's pack a couple together. Starting with Sierra. We need these two pocket TE's. Then it looks like we have some art prints, washi, stickers, and a couple bookmarks. This next order is for Catherine. the fall floral zip on green, which by the way will finally be restocked for this shop update. The blanks were finally back in stock. And we need four of the dainty flower bags.

Segment 11 (50:00 - 55:00)

What? Oh, I made a new barcode for it. I need to print out a new bar. I was going to say I scanned the correct one. four piece single fourpiece 10 piece but it was acting up in ship station and so I gave it a new skew and two force cuddle sticky notes and stationary brown pencil pouch Poor Kiki on the floor because that's where her favorite blankie is currently located. Okay, all orders are packed. Thank you so much. All right, it's book signing time. Where's that Sharpie at? Let's bring a backup as well. Surprisingly, I have about five or six gold Sharpies. Oh, and I have an update about the shipping boxes I'm waiting on. I sent them an email yesterday just to be like, "Do you have the tracking information for this order? " Cuz it turns out they did have tracking info. It did ship. It shipped on Friday, but they didn't send the shipping confirmation email until today. So, it should be here on Thursday. So, I won't have those boxes for the initial packing, but I'll have it for the rest of the packing. I was like, let's see if something's going on with the Olympics right now that I can put on while we do the signing stuff. There's another hockey game on right now. 5 nothing for Canada versus Czecha. The game I was watching the other day ended in 4 nothing for Canada. So, yesterday I signed one box of books. We have all these, all these, and all these. 29 more boxes. Ah, another box. Those are the t-shirt and zip blanks. Christian's making me lovely stacks like this. — A hesitation before I do the J. I don't know if this is the same Sharpie. It doesn't feel as opaque. Maybe this one. — I need it opaque so it covers that type of Hey, hey. A new delivery just came. Oh, these are all thank you cards. Yeah, all of that. 5,000 thank you cards. Well, now I got to open them up and show you one as promised. We got a little baby box right on top asking to be opened. Okay, this side looks perfect. I'm always paranoid it's going to print dull or dark or something, but it looks as it always does. I think this made me panic because it looked dark on that little preview. Okay. And now the backside. Tada. Birdie and branch because I just did that huge print restock. I didn't know what to put on this. And then I had the idea of using the branch. Um, and then the birdie kind of matched, but I made them match more. So, the bird had a lot of white in him, but I just set his layer to multiply so it blend in. Also, the birdie has some green in him and so I added bits of green to the edges of the leaves so it's kind of cohesive and it's on a slightly textured background. So, that'll be the new thank you card once we're through all the existing ones. And I have 5,000 of them. So, that'll be the thank you card for at least a year. Um, so if you don't get one of the new ones this shop update, you'll for sure get one in the next shop update. This is where we're putting signed books. We're going to make stacks on the chairs cuz we want to sleeve some later before we put them back into their boxes. But instead of trying to sleeve them as we go, I'm just going to we're going to do it at the end, I think.

Segment 12 (55:00 - 60:00)

Because the time it takes Christian to open a box is about the time it takes me to sign a box. Although, right now, he's ahead of me cuz I was opening those thank you cards. Hey, hey. It's 5:30. We've gotten through about 400 books. At least Christian has. Like, he's laid them out and I got to sign them. We decided to order in food because we're just both working and if he stops to cook like he was planning, then I would be way too ahead. I was like, "Oh, I could start sleeing books. " But we just decided to order in. Um, and we will keep signing books until the food's here and then we'll sleeve the books after we're done eating. I had to lay down. I just got like real hot out of nowhere and felt like I was going to pass out. So, I was laying on the floor under the table and then I moved over here. I still feel so hot. Just I don't think the Sharpies were too fumy or anything, so I don't I'll probably feel better after we eat. Got my little tiky toot chucking on me. Yeah. Sandwich. It's like a Chipotle onion ring thing. I'm kind of shaky. I think it was the zoa. I think it's the zoa's doing that. I'm ew. Jalapeno poppers and our biscuits. Oh yeah from churches. These biscuits are nuts. Food is eaten. I'm already starting to feel better. I've got my little container of pens. There's one pen that's better than the rest. The other ones quickly go low opacity and I need full opacity. Okay, so when my main one needs a break, I kind of swap between the others and then it's back to the main. See, these are all the ones Christian laid out for me that I fell behind on. So, I got to sign these. Um, and then we can start sleeing. Hey. Oh, wait. Wishy. You can't be in there. We're about to put stuff in there. Oh, thank you. Hey, that's my spot. I bust out the bronze Sharpie just cuz these ones are all misbehaving now. Even my good one. And the fifth one is just really bad. It hardly marks at all. So, I've been rotating between these four. And now we'll add bronze. And I have these Cricut pens. These could be good. They're very fine tip though. Um but maybe the tip will wear down a bit as I go. Fine tip is fine as long as I get my J lined up correctly. You still down here. Mina Christian went upstairs. My food did not agree with me. Although I felt better initially, I soon started to feel a lot worse. I've spent the majority of my time since supper on the toilet and just when I think I'm safe, I have to run back down putting that new bedet to work. I really wanted all these sleeved, but it's just not going to happen today. Christian did offer to do it himself tomorrow, though, cuz I've got over 400 signed. That's probably good for this initial burst of orders. Maybe we'll have to sign more, but I really don't see that many coloring book orders coming in right away. Like some people might wait and I do have lots, so I anticipate it to stay in stock for a while. So, the number signed, it's probably good. Now, we did find some B-grades. This stack here, most of them are bent, and they were all bent on the same edge regardless of the orientation of the book. like it was one specific edge that maybe got caught when they were loading the books into the box is what I'm suspecting. So, um those are all B-grades. Like you can see the wrinkliness, but other than that, they've been really good. We got all these ones in sleeves and then the ones that are in this box and then there are still all of those. But I think we're done for tonight. We're calling it quits. All right, it's now Tuesday. It's the last day before the shop update, and it's actually 5:00 p. m. right now. I've been working hard all day getting the remaining things done off of my to-do list. I'm fully caught up on the vlog edit up until the point you're watching right now. And I took a bunch of coloring book photos. I had to sacrifice one book to cut out some pages cuz this was the backdrop for

Segment 13 (60:00 - 65:00)

the book. And I wanted it to be the actual pages cuz I debated just printing off some sheets and then I was like, "No, I want it to be the real pages and I don't want them to be see-through and blah blah. " So, yeah, one coloring book got sacrificed. And I colored in the girl just to have something colored in for the photos and I can add more in the future once I've colored in more stuff. But yeah, we needed one photo that wasn't just black and white blank pages. And I did a lot of coloring book photos. So, I'll overlay all of those on the side here. All my listings are up now and seemingly good. I've reorganized all the collections. The store is officially password protected right now. Um, and I've added the digital download stuff. Oh, cuz I fixed the typo in the digital version and reexported all that. Re-uploaded it to my digital download platform and also linked those digital files to the physical book cuz every physical book will also come with the digital version. Oh, what else was there? Oh, I made the launch day email. So, it's fully done and scheduled, ready to go up tomorrow. I added the flat items to letter mail. I edited the US pricing. Uh, and here we are. Now, tonight is typically game stream night, and I'm technically caught up enough that I could still do the game stream because the last thing on my to-do list is to set up the packing station. like there's a couple new barcodes I need to print off and just restock, rearrange as I was talking about before. Uh, but I can do that tomorrow morning cuz I'm so prepared that I really don't have anything else to do tomorrow morning before the shop update. But there's one extra thing I put on my to-do list. So, a few days ago, I was scrolling on TikTok and I came across a video from the Grammys and it was of Haley and Justin Bieber and they were wearing these pins that said ice out, like little button style pins and I was like, I could make those. I have a button press. So, I whipped up this in Photoshop today. I was a little torn about whether it should say ice out, ice, or this. And I kind of like this. So, that's what I went with. And I busted out the old button press for the first time in forever. And so I'm gonna make some buttons, but if I'm making a lot of them, I'm probably gonna have to do that as this evening's stream. And at some point, I do also have to do the thumbnail for this vlog and wrap up the edit and export it. So I probably should do the thumbnail like right now. Get that done before supper and then I can do this after supper. But yeah, these are going to be a freebie item because I would not feel right selling this kind of thing unless it was going to charity. So, freebie buttons and I'm limiting it to two per order. There's no nothing actually stopping you from ordering more, but I'm only going to give you two. Please don't put more in your cart cuz it's just going to mess up my inventory. I did have an app that can manage that, but I used the free trial already and I don't want to pay for that feature. So, I'll just have to keep an eye out for bad actors who are adding too many to their cart. up. Um, yeah, limit two, but it's a freebie item and anyone can add it to their cart. It's not limited to just Americans or anything. So, I have the power to make them, so I'm going to make them. That's also the only sheet I've printed off so far. So, I should get more printing whilst I do the thumbnail. Thumbnail done. Oh, so cute. Pages are printing. I'll be taking that. Oh, that one's still printing. Okay, I will not be taking that one. Oh, yep. Yes, I will. Okay, thank you. Is this a familiar site? So, I keep a small bin with supplies as like the working bin, but then I have the rest of it in here. Still taped up from when we moved. I don't know how many I'm making. Like, I don't know what the demand is going to be cuz I want to make at least 200 ahead of time, but I could have the value like the number in stock higher than that and make more as needed. But obviously, I'll be busy packing orders. cuz I would rather not have to make more. But if I have everything like set up ready to go, it wouldn't be that bad. So, I'm torn between 200 and 300. Now, step one is to cut these into strips. It doesn't have to be pretty. Then, to hole punch, I have this handy dandy thing. It's a hole punch. It came with the button maker. I got this from Six Cent Press back in the day. It's a nice heavy duty one. This printed a little small actually. What the heck? I made sure to uncheck scale to fit media cuz I didn't want to do any kind of scaling. And I just downloaded a new template from Six Cent Press, but it's a bit small. I mean, it should still work. We just have more of the black line showing. Or has it always been like that? No. I swear it used to cut more like on the black line. See, now I'm going to have to try to make sure my black line is centered instead of just

Segment 14 (65:00 - 69:00)

having it on the line. Whatever. I don't think that will show. Or if it does, it'll be kind of on the back side. There are also hole punches that will punch through a stack of these at once. But I guess they would need to be perfectly aligned. That last one was not centered. I got to slow down. Cuz this is a circle design. I feel like it's going to be real noticeable if it's not centered. It would be nice to bring back some buttons of my art. I'm really interested in the magnetic backs. So, instead of a pin back, it's a magnet. Stick it on the fridge. And of course, pin backs, too. Now, I usually lay out a set of these cuz these discs can nest into each other. So, like to lay them out just to make sure I've got no stacks. Why is this magnetic? Is there a magnet in here? Oh, right. But I do have some magnet backs cuz I have um some magnet back pins that someone made for me and they included some blank magnet ones. Okay, that little stack of magnets is causing all this. Also, a bunch of these have been loose, so they have little like fuzzies and hairs on them. I got to try to wipe them clean. So yeah, I used to table at conventions and I would press hundreds to even sometimes thousands of buttons before my events cuz it was my big main thing. Um my big main product I guess and it was nice cheap price point. Sold a lot of buttons but it was mostly fan art buttons and I don't sell fan art anymore. So my button designs are retired but I did also do some original Bailey J art. Those were more of an online seller to my own community because random people at conventions don't really tend to go for that original stuff unless it's like a cute animal or I don't know. But a lot of it was like my cute girl artwork. So that's a harder sell. So yeah, Frisbee down and then this one's slightly crooked by the way. The cut. Let's try to clean off one of these there. And then this one goes upside down. And I'm pretty sure it was coil this way. Pin on that side. Just kind of straight across horizontal. And then you do the art side first. Flip it around and do the pin side. Yeah, this lube is not doing much. Oh, I thought there was a crummy underneath, but it was on top. Little pin back. And when I did it the right way. Yay. Yeah, Kiki. We need to get these in the hands of the people. So, I can really get going when I have a fresh stack of this Myar. But these ones are all dirty. Maybe I should just open up a fresh one for the sake of speed. Man, I would really get going. I get a good pace going with these buttons. I'm rusty. Okay, post stream wrap up. Here's how many I got done, which doesn't look like a lot, but it's over 200 cuz I printed off 10 sheets. Wait, was it 10? Yes, cuz I printed off one test sheet, then 10 sheets, then I went to print off five more. Oh, but it was still printing. I don't know. I went to print out five more, but the printer wasn't connected and so I printed five more twice. So, there should be 21 sheets total. I don't know how many I grabbed. Anyway, the plan is to list 400, I think, cuz that means I still need to make some to get to 400, but not like a crazy amount. It's hopefully doable. And now, just going to quickly wrap up this vlog edit. So, I'm ending it here. Thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you guys in the next one. It's not what we're going for, but this is a very cool one-ofa-kind sketchbook. So, yeah, they sent me these two samples. This one's still pretty shiny, so I'm not going to go with that one. It is very soft, though. This feels pretty much exactly like the other fabric that I've used. So, I'm probably just going to leave the fabric selection up to them in the future. Like
