black touch roll should be a great day uh on my way to breakfast with Beth comto um one of the uh most senior uh Executives at GE she's a real innovator uh at Le has her pull somewhere things are going you know I actually in a lot of ways um uh connect with her as a executive and a business person I think she has a tremendous balance of um caring about what's emerging and what's popping 3D printing social media what reality online video you know just whatever really she's at the Forefront for a big company of being early and often and tasting it while uh also um in my opinion always being grounded in actual practicality of business I think it's that 8020 rule that I'm proud of that I do which is um uh which is uh 80% meat and potatoes you know run the agency make money sell wine you know in the store online but innovate 20% real not half-assing it like really musically anchor figuring out Snapchat long before the ROI is obvious but making those bets to where the Puck's going to go and um and having that real Cadence not letting it become 9010 70 30 one man's point of view on how uh how to be very successful in a modern world I think Beth does that extremely well how'd you feel about yesterday's Daily V is light but should be good light look good fire away Craig fire away people asking me what uh happened to Mike my trainer if something happened nothing happened we just ran our 2-year contract out two years every day of your life on somebody else's schedule on every whim and need that they want that's a tough grind so Mike did an amazing job and I miss him dearly he's still around for another month but Jordan and I are starting our Cadence and our system and away we go three years for Jordan next guy four I think the Sher bear is stunningly important and it's going to become like a thing like other people going to copy and it's going to become a thing that Facebook's end up going to respond to really I think so there's this quote that people are going crazy for where is that one from emails Snapchat yeah do they yep if you lack optimism it's game over a good one it's true oh without a doubt like it's just true like if you can't look for the bright side or look at the half glass full or be optimistic instead of pessimistic if you can't do that you just absolutely have no chance of winning because it's all how one synthesizes what in front of them you know what I mean like life's hard enough the game's hard enough the Market's hard enough against you that if you're against yourself that's too stacked the deck becomes too stacked about to go on Facebook live for an episode of askary ve go check it now the speed in which Snapchat is innovating its product is grossly underestimated as to one of the rationals to its hyper growth like people don't get it like that [ __ ] Matters from a branding perspective and a product perspective hello all right just kidding hey everybody this is Gary V Nerd Chuck and this is episode 208 of the Ask Gary ve show
