So, what do you do all day? — So, I work with a team of fact checkers to help speakers as they're developing their talk to make sure all the information in it, whether it's facts, figures, data, current events, is accurate to the best of our knowledge so that you, the audience, can make sure you're getting uh the best information. — What's one tip you have for someone who wants to become a fact checker? — I think whether you want to become a fact checker or if you just want to learn how to better evaluate information, I think practice is key. There's a whole host of information online, especially on social media. So, there's ample opportunity. I think the top things I'd recommend are thinking critically about what you're reading. And so, that includes things like how recent is the data they're relying on, what is the source, is the science peer-reviewed, but importantly, even if you don't have a scientific background, I think thinking about the context of it. Is what they're saying presented in an accurate light? and also being very skeptical of anything that is phrased in a really sensational manner or as very black or white. Things are often really nuanced. So I would start
