OpenAI just killed SORA

So Sora was open AI's AI video generation platform where you can have your own likeness and other people, celebrity, etc. And you can make them do kind of whatever you want with the magic of AI video as an example. — Okay, I feel like that's pretty good, all right? — So I'd like to play a few clips for you that I really enjoyed either making or just seeing out there created by some of you. But just a few quick notes about why Open AI decided to shut down Sora. First and foremost, it does seem like a little bit of a pivot by Open AI to kind of cancel all the side quests if you will and focus on the main thing. Bill People's, Open AI's head of Sora, he described the new mission for the team as building systems that deeply understand the world by learning to simulate arbitrary environments at high fidelity. So that's not going to be a consumer video app. That's going to be more something like simulating the world probably for training robots. It's a physics simulation engine for robots. And Sam Altman confirmed this saying that this team will focus on world simulation research especially as it pertains to robots. And as you'll see this will be a little bit of a theme moving forward. Open AI is focusing on and talking more about the economy. Open AI say that the new models that they'll be releasing will automate a lot of the economy. So we'll talk about that in separate video, but I figured since Sora's going away and we're not going to have access to these videos at some point. Let's just take a look at a few of them, shall we?
