ChatGpt is the single most important tool for any soloreneur or entrepreneur who's looking to grow their business in 2025. But a lot of people just jumped in, started using ChatGpt, and now everyone's using it, and no one has really mastered the art of actually using ChatGpt. So, to keep you from creating the same content and the same level of content as everyone else, I'm going to show you how to actually set up your Chat GPT account. So the content that you post online stands out from everyone else and so do the results that you see inside of your business. Now
one of the first things you're going to want to do if you don't have a ChatGpt account is to head over to chatgpt. com and sign up using your email or one of the available options that they give you here on the screen. Once you sign up and create your account, you're going to come to a screen that looks something like this. If you just signed up with an account, then you can skip this part right here. But chances are you probably already been using ChatGBT for a while now. So the first thing I want you to do is go to the top right corner, click on your profile picture, and then go down to settings, and then I want you to go to archive all chats. Now, the reason we're archiving all the chats is because many of these conversations are about things that we've discussed months ago and we've discussed with different models going all the way back to 3. 5 in the very beginning about two years ago. And so we want to make sure that the only conversations that we're having right now are those with the latest models and that we're using the latest models so that we're getting the best outputs. Now, if there are some conversations that you're in the middle of that you need to wrap up, go ahead and wrap those conversations up or go and change the name of those conversations and just change the name so that the beginning of them has something like retrieve or something similar so that after you archive all of the chats, you can go back and find those individual conversations that you want to retrieve and bring back in. I don't recommend deleting all of your chats because sometimes there may be something you want to go back and search for. So just archive it for now so that it's out of the way. And so if you look on my screen right now, all you can see on the lefth hand side are GPTs, no conversations at all. Now the next thing
you want to do to make sure that your chat GPT account is fully optimized and you're using it to its full potential is to click on your icon and then go to customize chat GPT. Now there are two specific instructions that you are allowed to give your particular chat GPT account that are going to make it different from everyone else's. Now, sometimes if you don't know what to put here, it's best that you don't put anything at all. But if you do have an idea of what you're using your ChatGpt account, the very specific results and goals that you're looking to get from it on a monthly basis, then I highly recommend that you craft instructions using ChatGpt to actually fill out these instructions. And so I took this as an opportunity to share about myself, who I am, what my product is, what my brand is, what my mission is, what my framework teaches, and then the different products that my business actually offers, as well as the focus that the responses I'm given need to have, such as marketing my products and driving sales. So the second set of instructions that you're able to give chat GPT is, how would you like chat GPT to respond? And this one is very important because what I found over time is that chat GPT is a yes man. It typically will not challenge you and sometimes actually many times it will be wrong in its logic or in its information and if you provide it with more accurate information then it will correct itself. And I think this goes back to that yes man syndrome that it has. And so it's a very good idea if you place something inside of these instructions here where you tell chat GPT to challenge your ideas to doublech checkck the facts etc to verify everything that it's saying in some shape form or fashion.
Now at the very bottom there are several different capabilities that your chat GPT account has and you're able to turn them on or off individually. I highly recommend that you turn all of these on. But let's very briefly cover them. The first on the left is web search. And this allows ChatGpt to automatically search the web to get answers. Turn this on so that you're always getting the latest information possible. You can even tell ChatGpt to do a web search and to bring back the latest information and it'll give you a list of references so that you know that everything that you're getting from the chatbot is accurate. You can even go and look at those references and go read it for yourself and come back to the conversation and verify whether it's true or not. The second one is Dolly. I don't know how to pronounce that exactly, but this is their image generator. Now, their image generator is nowhere as good as Mid Journey or Laura Fluts or many of the others that I've seen out there. The images that it creates are very cartoonish. They look as though they're drawn with crayons or pastels or acrylics and they're not very lifelike, but they do come across good sometimes. The next application that it has is code. And now code is used to actually write code. So if you're a programmer, you're building an app or you're working on a website, you can use chat gpt to write your custom CSS for your landing page or for some other difficult task that you're dealing with. I've used it to write code for notion to actually build tables and so forth. Now, Canvas is one of their newer features, but Canvas allows you to edit a particular output several different times without completely outputting the same thing over and over. So, for instance, we know how they allowed us to start editing images. You click on it, then you can just highlight the part that you want to change and modify. Well, canvas is the text format of that image editing. So now, if you create a video outline or a chapter for an ebook, you can go in and click on a certain portion, highlight it, and then give it a prompt and change that particular section based on the prompt. And I'll be the first to tell you that this has made scripting out the outlines for my YouTube videos extremely helpful and easy and simplistic. and it's going to be a gamecher for you creating your content as well. I just know it. And so once we're done with that, make sure you have enable for new chats turned on. Click save if you need to and then close this out. So now everything is good to go as far as that goes. Our chat GPT account is set up to start giving us detailed responses based on details that it knows about our particular business, our products, our mission, etc. It knows how we want it to respond. It knows the best way to communicate with us. And before we move on to the next section of this video, don't worry if you don't know how to write the prompt for your custom instructions. I'm going to give you access to a list of prompts that you can use for each individual section that I cover in this video, so you won't be lost. Just use the link in the description to download the prompts and then you can create special prompts for the outputs and the things that you need to place inside of your system to get it optimized for your account personally. Instead of just giving you a Google doc with a list of prompts, I'm going to give you an interactive dashboard that not only has the prompts, but also has a lot of other helpful information that you might want to learn about to use chat GPT and optimize your account. But once you click on the link in the description, it's going to bring you to a Google form like this. And then all you're going to do is answer the questions. After you answer the questions, click on submit. And then it's going to bring you to this link right here. This link brings you to a Google Drive folder. Once you're inside this folder, you want to come over here to the right, click on the three dots, and then click on download and you're going to download an HTML file. That's hypertext markup language. It's the basic language of websites. Now, all you want to do is click on this file. It's called ChatgPT dashboard. And once you click on it and open it, this is what you're going to see. Now, this is your dashboard. You don't need access or anything from me. All you have to do is click on that file that you have saved on your computer and it's always going to open up. Now, if you want updates to it, just make sure you open up my emails because I'll probably send out updates to it in the future. But basically, you can walk through and it's going to talk to you about everything about the purpose of setting up your account, patterns, different prompts you can use there. Onboarding, projects, voices, files, assistance, the router, which is something you might want to learn about, and execution to keep you from drifting in your chat GPT conversations. So, that's how you do it. And once again, once you download it, it's yours. And if you ever want to open it up again, just click on the HTML file and the dashboard will open up inside of your browser. Now, back to the video. Now, the next
thing we want to talk about after we set up our custom instructions is we need to talk about custom GPTs. Now, if you don't remember, the first thing that OpenAI originally rolled out that kind of modified ChatGpt was plugins when they gave people the ability to connect ChatGpt to different websites and kind of enhance its features. Well, what they've done is they've introduced custom GPTs which have completely taken the place of plugins. And so custom GPTs, they do the same thing. They tie into websites if you want them to or they handle certain tasks that you have. And so if you have something that you know you're going to be doing on a regular b basis in your business, such as marketing or selling, then you can create or program a custom GPT to handle that specific task alone. Now, the reason custom GPTs are so powerful and the reason that in some regards they're better than a simple chat GPT account is because they specialize in a specific domain of knowledge or expertise. And all of the resources within that custom GPT are geared towards one particular task. And one thing you're going to learn over time as you use chat GPT is that it does its best when it's given one task at a time. And so I know if there are three to five different chains of thought that I need to get from chat GPT, I will break it up into one thought at a time and work on it in that manner. And that's the same way you want to actually think about building your custom GPTs when you get ready to create them. And so if you come right here to your profile picture on the top right and then you go to my GPTs and you can see the access that I've given to them. So, some of them are only me and then anyone with a link. And these are the ones that I share with people for free or inside of my courses. And then there are different versions of these GPTs because some of them are the older version and some of them are newer, more improved, more advanced versions that I've built on top of newer models. So whenever I find myself doing something repetitively, I immediately think, can I create a GPT that will streamline this process that will make it easier and faster for me to actually accomplish this? And so one of the things that I finally created was a GPT that creates GPTs. And so if you look right here, I have a GPT Creator 40. And I put the 40 so I know what model it was built on top of. So before we get into how to create a GPT, let me just show you how I set up my GPT or how I created my GPT that actually creates GPTs for me and will kill two birds with one stone. So first and foremost, the first thing I did in the very first few paragraphs is I educated chat GPT about its own capabilities so that it would understand what it was actually doing. because sometimes chat GPT just looks at GPT as the technical term and it talks about GPTs in a very general sense not realizing that it's meant to be talking about itself and so I believe I took this copy directly from the open AI website but it basically discusses the groundbreaking feature called GPTs which allows users to create custom versions of chat GPT and so there are a couple of paragraphs that deal with use cases but then we move into the step-by-step instructions options for creating custom GPTs. Now, some people use logic trees as well, but for me personally, the GPTs I like to build, there's a very particular result that I want, and so I create mine with step-by-step instructions. And so, the first step is analyze the data. The second step is to conduct research. The third step is to identify required capabilities. The fourth step is to customize tone and style. The fifth step is to develop a sequential plan. And in fact, if I message this GPT, can you help me create a custom GPT for how to find good movies to watch on movie night with one's wife? And the response is certainly. A custom GPT designed to help someone find good movies to watch with their wife on movie night can make the experience enjoyable and tailored to both partners' preferences. Here's how we can create it step by step. Step one, analyze the data. Step two, conduct research. Gather details from the user. It gives us questions. Identify required capabilities. Web search categoration expertise. Conversational tone. Customize tone and style. Friendly conversational understanding. Step five. Develop a sequential plan. Greeting and content setting. Add preferences. Recommend based on input. Provide three to five options. Optional fun extras. Confirm the selection. Encourage feedback. Final features for the GPT, interactive Q& A flow, dynamic suggestions, customization options, extras for the experience, suggest snacks, activities, etc. So, what we're going to do is we're going to quickly create this GPT. We're going to program it because you do not program AI with code. You program AI with natural language. So, we're just going to highlight that. Going to come to the bottom. Going to copy it. Then we're going to go back to where it says my GPTs. And then we're going to click on create a GPT. Then we're going to come to instructions and we're going to paste in our instructions. Next, we're going to name our GPT. And I just gave it a simple name, spousal movie nightfinder. And we're just going to say I find movies for spouses. And for the description, we're just going to put I find movies for wives. And if we wanted to add an image or upload an image, I would probably go ahead and create that in the conversation and then upload it here. Now, typically I would just go ahead and create the image before I actually came to this part and then I will upload it right now. But if you haven't done so, don't worry. You can always come back and change it. And so now what we want to do is we want to add a conversation starter just in case we come back to this spousal movie nightf finder and we don't really know how to start using it. Our conversation starter says, "Please help me find two movies to watch. One my wife will enjoy and one I will enjoy. " We're going to press enter. And then we're going to come over here and I'm just going to press on this to test it out. Now, this is a stateless testing board right here. So, nothing is actually saved over here. Once you leave this, it's gone for good. Once I click create and then I move out of here, this all disappears. If I edit anything over here, I can no longer access what's over here. So, this is just for us to test it out and see how it actually works. So, let's test this out. What genres do each of you enjoy? Mood tonight. Are you in the mood for something light-hearted, intense? We're in a mood for something lighthearted, but it can also be intense. We're open to things. Streaming platforms where you can watch the movies. We have access to all streaming platforms. So, it doesn't matter what platform you recommend. Just let me know. We can watch it. Would you like both movies to complement each other or can they be totally different? Let's try to make sure they complement each other. And so, now we're going to send this message over and I want you to see how I just talked to the AI. I didn't try to be all technical and come up with the right words to say, but let's see what it actually comes up with. So for her romantic comedy option, Crazy Stupid Love 2011, Why She'll Love It. It's a funny and heartwarming romantic comedy with an ensemble cast including Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and Steve Carol. The humor is sharp, relationships feel real, and there's a bit of romance for everyone. For you, action thriller option, Red Notice. I saw The Red Notice on Netflix, and it was a pretty good film that I don't want to watch it again. How about you come up with some films that were released in 2023? And so now we're challenging it because we wanted to give us the latest films that will probably be on DVD or on streaming platforms. There'll probably be some for 2024 because obviously I forgot we're already in 2025. But ah The Killer was a good one. movie. I remember that one. Anyone but you. I haven't seen this so I'll have to check this out. This film stars Sydney Sweeney and Glenn Pal. The modern twist on Shakespeare's Much of Do About Anything who reunite at a destination wedding leading to a comedic misunderstanding and rekindle feelings. Okay. Anyone but you. Sounds like it's good. Thanks for these choices. Can you tell me how these two movies connect? Ah, this is very good. And so you can see already that this GPT is really making it easy for me to find movies to watch tonight for movie night. Let's try one more time to find a good action movie that I haven't seen because I have seen The Killer and I don't want to watch it again. But we will watch anything anyone but you. John Wick 4, I saw that. Mission Impossible. Saw that. Extraction 2, The Woman King, Top Gun. I've seen too many movies so let's just give up on that. But you see how well it works. That's what I want you to know. You see how well it works. And so all we have to do now is click on create. And then I can choose who can actually use this GPT. So I'm going to put this one in the GPT store because that's something that you can do. And based on the number of uses you get with your GPT, you can actually earn money from chat GPT I believe still. But let's click right here where it says lifestyle. And now I can choose the actual category that this one will go into. And let's just click save. But that's how you create a custom GPT. And so it had very specific instructions that walked it through a process of actually performing the task. Now the beautiful thing about these GPTs is that many times all it requires is a very little of information and it can perform the rest of the task for you. It has this agentlike quality. And there's another feature they've added that's giving chat GPT more of this agent-like feel where it's more of a operator instead of an instructor. So for instance, when I told it a little bit about what I like, what my spouse like, it could go online, it could research, it could bring back all of these different ideas, it can filter through them. And a lot of times what I discover with my GPTs is that when I build them, I build them that step one is information gathering and then step two through six or seven, however many steps I have in that GPT is execution. It'll go out and it'll perform different tasks and then it'll give me a final output that's based on my particular knowledge or expertise or my way of doing certain things. I could create a custom GPT that basically took a single idea for me, wrote a title for it, created some thumbnail mockups, and then created an outline of that video that I could then turn around and execute like I'm doing right now if I wanted to. Now, imagine how easy that would make it to grow on YouTube because you're able to easily come up with great content based on things you're already passionate about. So that's how you create your custom GPTs and you're going to want to create those based on the different needs that you have for your content creation or for your business. Now the next thing
that I want you to recognize about chat GPT is a new feature that they have called projects. So for the longest time and there was no way to actually organize your conversations. And so projects give you a way to actually organize the way that you're using chat GPT. And so it's going to be critical for you to absolutely get the best outputs from chat GPT to actually set up your projects. And your projects need to be set up so that your business can thrive. And everybody's business is going to be a little bit different. But I do believe there are some basic portions that every business should have. And something I do want you to know is that you can drag these conversations and place them inside of these folders. Unless they are a custom GPT conversation, then you can't place them inside of a folder. And so, the best way for you to figure out how to set up your projects inside of your ChatGpt account is to think about your original custom instructions. What is your primary purpose for using ChatGpt? Why are you willing to pay $20 a month to use ChatGpt? And once you've identified that particular purpose, then you want to just ask chat GPT what are the departments necessary for me to succeed in this purpose and it's going to tell you these are the departments that you need for your online business based on what you told me about it or these are departments that you need to grow your YouTube channel based on what you told me about the content you create etc. And once you have those departments go ahead and create those projects take the screenshot like I just did and then come back and follow me on the next step. So, if you look on the lefth hand side, you can see that I've set up six folders. Only five of them will show, but they are leadership, marketing, sales, products, overhead, operations, and fuel. Now, if you're wondering why it says left engine, right engine, wings, it's because I use Donald Miller's business made simple framework just to quickly get this set up. And it's a great framework to use. The leadership provides the direction and the vision for your company. But then you have the engines. And the engines are the thing that actually make it fly. That's marketing and sales. You got to attract people and then you have to convert them into customers and treat them well so that they keep coming back. And then you have the wings which are the products. These are the things that are going to help you to fly. So we need to have great products. We need to work on those as well. And then we have the body of the plane which is going to be the overhead and the expenses. And then we have the fuel of the plane which is our cash flow. And so it's a very simple way to understand how a business operates in the different departments and what needs to get done so that you can stay organized as a soloreneur. But now that I set up those folders and I explained to ChatGpt what I was doing, I told it to give me some custom instructions for each individual section to help me optimize that particular folder. So now that we have all of our different projects set up, the first thing we want to do is open up the first project. We're going to come here to add instructions. Open this. And then we're going to paste in our instructions. hit save. I don't know how long your instructions can be, but I do know that was about four to five paragraphs that I just pasted in. And don't worry, when you use the link in the description to download the prompts, these instructions are also going to be included. If you want to use the same framework that I'm using, if not, you can come up with your own using chat GPT. So now all we have to do is go to each of these and paste in the instructions that we got for each of these different projects. And with each one of these projects, I also had chat GPT give me a list of file recommendations to upload so that particular project will be optimized to a top tier level. And some of these are going to take you some time to actually work out. But for instance, for the leadership project, we can upload a vision and mission document, leadership principles, decision frameworks, goals and milestone tracker, team onboarding templates, and things like that, that will definitely help us have more productive conversations when we're working inside of that particular project. If we look at our marketing project in the different file recommendations there, a marketing strategy document, you may take Alan De's onepage marketing plan and use that as a document to help keep you on track if that's the marketing plan you're using, which a lot of people use. Customer avatars, personas, things we have AIs for to create, this is a great one. editorial and social media calendars, messaging and positioning guide, uh marketing funnel maps, all of these are great things to actually upload and keep there. And once again, I'm going to place all of this inside of the document so that you can download this playbook with this video to optimize your chat GPT account so that you can have the best conversations possible and you can really get the most out of having a business partner in chat GPT. But now let's move on to the next section. So now we have our custom instructions for our entire account. We have our project set up and we have our custom instructions for those. We have the recommended files that we can start working on and uploaded to each of these so that those conversations are ready to be optimized and really help us get the most out of those. And we also have our GPTs over here or we've created a custom GPT that could create our GPTs for us whenever we have a particular task that we want to perform over and over. So now one more thing I want you to see before we move on is that if you come here for instance movie night GPT and I take this conversation and I drag it up to try to drop it in a folder, it will not go in a folder. It's going to come right back down to the bottom. It won't let me put it in the folder. But if I take this conversation right here, business structure for solopreneurs, I take it, I drag it, I come up to the leadership folder, and I let it go. It's brought into this actual folder. So, this is a great way to actually organize your chat. And then if I want to take it out of this folder, I just click on the three dots and I can move it to another project. I can remove it from leadership. I can rename it, archive it, delete it, etc. So, I'm just going to remove it from leadership because I want to keep it in the open for now. Now, the
next feature is something that I'm really excited to try out with you guys. OpenAI said they were having some problems with it, but this is TAS is actually in beta right now, but TAS allows you to tell chat GPT to basically remind you to do certain things. So, if you put together a content strategy and possibly couple this with a GPT, you can have chat GPT remind you to create a YouTube video every single day or a YouTube short to use a custom GPT to script a YouTube short at 8:00 a. m. And then you can have it remind you to post a YouTube short at 900 p. m. Whatever your strategy is. And so, let's click on task. And we'll see that it gives us a very basic desktop. Let's close this for the second just so we can focus on task. And so find a fresh, healthy recipe each Monday. Tell me a bedtime story. Summarize AI news every week. So you can tell it to summarize social media news every Friday at 3 p. m. And so if you look in the top lefthand corner, you can see that it says chat GPT task. And so if you click the down arrow, you can see that there is chat GPT40. Then there's GPT40 with scheduled task. Then there's 01 which uses advanced reasoning, doesn't have task and all the other things. It just started being able to take images and analyze those. And then there are the other models for O mini and four which is a legacy model. So now post your YouTube short daily at 9:00 p. m. Got it. I remind you every night at 9:00 p. m. So, not only did a notification come across my screen, but I also got a notification through my email from chat GPT or Open AI telling me about the task that I needed to complete. But now, let me show you one last feature. Use Canvas to write a YouTube video script about the Tik Tok ban and the impact that it's going to have on the creator economy, the good, the bad, and the ugly. And so, 01 doesn't have access to Canvas. So, I'm going to switch models and go to 40. And then I'm going to use the same prompt and I'm going to wait for it to finish just to verify it is in the chat. So, it gave us the outline in the actual chat. Now, if you come right here, you can actually open this in Canvas, but we don't want to open that in Canvas. So, close that down, and we're going to send this prompt over. And now, what you're going to see is a tab that's going to pop up right here, and it's creating the video script inside of here. So, here is the full video script inside of Canvas. Canvas is kind of like a whiteboard or a piece of scratch paper where we can work on different things without actually getting an entirely different output and then trying to retrace where the latest output is. We can just keep editing this particular output. Now, for instance, if I look at this, I can see already that there are things like voice over visuals, etc. I don't want that inside of this outline. I want this outline to focus entirely on the information and the educational value that it's going to bring. And I can message and say something like, I see that the outline has a lot of labels about visuals, voice overs, etc. I just want a basic outline with the talking points, not things that tell me about how to actually edit the video or present it visually. Now, what we do is we send this prompt over. And now I want you to watch what it does. Let's scroll to the top. You can see it all kind of highlighting and going over because it's just going to work on this particular portion of text. It's not going to change everything. It's just going to change the things that I actually mentioned. And so now when you go through it and let's catch up to it if we can. You can see that it took out all of those different elements that I mentioned and now it's a very clean outline. And where this really shines is when you begin to come up with your own individual workflows for coming up with ideas, then going to custom GPTs, then moving to Canvas before finally taking action in your business and doing certain things because this is going to streamline everything for you. And everyone's workflow is probably going to be a little bit different based on how you like to do things. But this is the best way to set up your Chat GPT account to make sure you're getting the most out of it and to stop using it like an amateur and to start using it like a pro and seeing real results so that the outputs you're getting aren't mediocre general bland and their top tier excellent outputs that you're receiving from chat GPT. Once more, I'm going to
put a link in the description so that you can download the playbook that I'm going to put together with all of the prompts explaining everything and my instructions for the folders as well as the recommended files so that you can set up your chat GPT account just like mine and you can start getting better results and better outputs from what you're creating and what you're doing with your business. I'm also going to add some other prompt tips inside of the playbook that are really going to help you make better prompts and get the most out of chat GPT. And I hope that this video will help you have a better experience with ChatGpt and be more successful in your online business and in your content creatorship. So, if you got value out of this video, please hit the like button because it helps me with the algorithm. Subscribe to the channel, turn on notifications so that you never miss a video.
