What you're seeing right now is Google's most advanced world model yet. And it looks like we're finally back on the second channel to showcase it cuz Google just dropped Genie 3, the most advanced world model. And this isn't just another typical AI video generator. Gen3 is a realtime generalpurpose world model developed by Google DeepMind that can generate and create full interactive environments from nothing but a single text font. Whether you want to create and explore a photorealistic natural landscape, which you see right now, or walk through ancient ruins, dive deep into the ocean, or jump into fantastical animated realms, Genie3 can simulate it all with stunning consistency and details. This is truly revolutionary because Genie 3 has the ability to render environments in 720p and 24 frames per second while maintaining environmental cohesiveness as well as having it done this for several minutes long even across complex instructions. You can walk around, revisit locations, and trigger events in real time. Thanks to this new architecture that the Google Deep Mind theme has actually developed, which is where you can track prior frames and user inputs. This opens the door for not just creative exploration, but for training embodied agents like Sema to complex tasks and learn in open-ended simulated worlds. You, as a user, can even alter weather, insert new characters, or shift terrain midsulation through what Google calls promptable world events. Just take a look at this demo. What you're seeing are not games or videos. They're worlds. Each one of these is an interactive environment generated by Genie3, a new frontier for world models. With Genie3, you can use natural language to generate a variety of worlds and explore them interactively, all with a single text prompt. Let's see what it's like to spend some time in a world. Genie 3 has real-time interactivity, meaning that the environment reacts to your movements and actions. You're not walking through a pre-built simulation. Everything you see here is being generated live as you explore it. And Genie 3 has world memory. That's why environments like this one stay consistent. World memory even carries over into your actions. For example, when I'm painted on this wall, my actions persist. I can look away and generate other parts of the world, but when I look back, the actions I took are still there. And Genie 3 enables promptable events, so you can add new events into your world on the fly. Something like another person or transportation. or even something totally unexpected. You can use Genie to explore real world physics and movement and all kinds of unique environments. You can generate worlds with distinct geographies, historical settings, fictional environments, and even other characters. We're excited to see how Genie 3 can be used for next generation gaming and entertainment. And that's just the beginning. Worlds could help with embodied research, training robotic agents before working in the real world, or simulating dangerous scenarios for disaster preparedness and emergency training. World models can open new pathways for learning, agriculture, manufacturing, and more. We're excited to see how Genie 3's world simulation can benefit research around the world. Genie3 is still in a limited research preview and it's available only to select academics and creators, but it's a massive leap forward for the future of generative media and artificial general intelligence. It is something that will show how far we've actually came in the coming months once it's actually available for everyone to access. It's fully controllable, interactive with AI powered environments. And I believe it's just the beginning cuz this could be used to generate games, media, as well as movies and TV shows. have real time interactivity where you can actually explore and interact with the video that it generates. This is a pretty big thing cuz if you want you can simply go ahead and describe what you want within the video and it will generate whatever you requested in real time. And if you are to explore the world while you're controlling it, you can actually get a real-time generation done with the Gen3 model where you can explore and you can have it generate any component in real time. So in this case, if I want to choose a goal for this scene over here, like go to the pot, it'll work on going over to the pot and generating all the components while I reach there. Now you also have high visual consistency where it's able to maintain environment memory up to long. So it's going to reduce visual drift but essentially you'll have that retained memory over the generation that you're working with. And that's something that you can see within this example where the tree on the left of the building has been uh remaining consistent throughout the actual interaction with this video that was generated. So overall, you're going to be able to see that there's high visual consistency with this new memory built system. And another cool thing is that there's diverse world generation where you can have photorealistic settings where you can generate something like coastal cliffs, hurricanes, or even like volcanoes. You have fantasy animations being generated as well, flying fireflies as well as origami lizards. And you can even generate historical real world places. All these things are promptable with world events and you can introduce changes like feather shift or a new objects characters midsession. Now in my opinion this is a critical step forward for AGI cuz you have infinite simulation as a curriculum with this G3 model. So over time with this embodied agent training, we're going to be able to have it work on goldbased navigation and decision-m which could be huge cuz now we're getting to a point where talking about robots having this sort of uh I would say simulated curriculum could be pretty big cuz you can have it so that there's artificial general intelligence with other beings that can accomplish various sorts of tasks within our day-to-day lives which would be just insane. And I think we will see that within the next 5 to 10 years. Now, with the Genie 3 model, there are a couple limitations like the constraint action space for agents where they can't roam around forever. There's limited memory as well. So, there's not going to be forever generation being simulated. There's inaccurate reproduction of real world geography as well. So, keep that in mind. And there's limited to short sessions which only last a few minutes obviously cuz it would be quite extensive on the cloud compute to render such long uh generations with the AI. And sometimes they stated that there's actual inconsistent or missing text that could be rendered. But this is a great uh improvement from what we saw previously with the Genie2. And overall the bigger picture is that this is a great leap forward for general intelligence and generative simulation platforms. But you can see that by combining textbased creativity with these embodied AI agents, it could redefine how we build virtual environments, games, or even just experiences. You can train and evaluate the AI in different researches. You can create educational simulations. And like I said, this is a playing field for the future of AGI environments where you can deploy this within various sorts of robots that can accomplish different tasks. The vision is now becoming clear and we're soon going to be achieving this within the next 5 to 10 years. So huge props to the Google Deep Mind team and I really love what happened today cuz in the world of AI, we saw OpenAI releasing two open-source models. We saw the new entropic 4. 1 Opus model as well. And now we have this G3 model which is a frontier AI video generator openw world model.
