billions of dollars are flooding into the Creator economy and most creators think that the key to capturing their share is creating more content but that's the furthest thing from the truth creators aren't the ones who are actually getting paid the most in the Creator economy as crazy as that sounds the truth is the people who are really taking advantage of this opportunity are the people who decided to stop being content creators and start becoming Publishers I'm going to give you a simple framework to quit being a content creator and start being a publisher so that you can monetize your audience so if you're ready let's dive in so let's break this down into something that's very relatable and easy to understand and I call it the three levels of Content Mastery now most creators are stuck in the first two levels of Content Mastery but if they can break into the third level of Content Mastery that's where they unlock the income potential passive income and that's where they unlock the freedom that they're looking for from becoming a content Creator and ironically in order for you to unlock the third level of Content Mastery you have to stop being solely or primarily a content creator you need to become something more one of the most popular formats of content in all of human history is the book and so I'm going to be using the book as an analogy or framework for sharing these three levels of Content Mastery because it just works so well and so the number one level of Content Mastery that everybody has is the author is the content creator it's the person whose mind is on fire with creative ideas it's the person who loves to record write the person who loves to share and express themselves who is authentic who is just comfortable being on camera they love it they love creating they love sharing their passion with other people this creator creates an isolation they don't allow other people into the process because other people just don't understand how to actually get it done or what's best and a lot of times they don't have a very large audience if any at all yet and so they're creating purely for the love of it they're creating for themselves and it's very easy in this stage if you're trying to make money from your content to feel like a starving artist because you're posting but you're not earning anything until you meet the qualifications of the platform and for a lot of them they think that creating great content is enough to lead them to success as naive as that may sound it's very innocent we've all been there we've thought well if I just create great content then success should find me and then we find out that that's not exactly how it works there are a lot of other details and things that are thrown into the equation that probably shouldn't be there but they are and if we want to win we have to play the game and so it's a very painful lesson when we find out that even the best content can go unnoticed if we don't have a strategy on level one you're just posting your content and we want to get to level three where we're doing something so much more strategic with our content and we're so much more intentional about what we actually release to the public so that every time we release something there is a definite strategy and a plan to it and it's not a wasted opportunity because in the author phase there are millions of wasted opportunities and So eventually the thrill of being an author having that creative fire it's going to fade when you realize that this just isn't paying the bills and you're going to realize I need to get better as an author if I actually want to make more money from the platform because you probably hit the monetization qualifications by now and so you're checking your monetization every time you post a piece of content to see how much you've made so you're trying to get that number to get higher and higher so you can post and get paid and what you're going to find is that it's very difficult to get it to the levels that you needed sustain you and only a few creators actually reach that level and so in this phase you go from being an author to now becoming an editor you're now just not focused on the actual creativity of the content that you're creating but you're focused on script writing you're focused on thumbnails you're focused on making sure your first minute or your first 30 seconds the introduction of your video is well written and you're capturing people's attention you're focused on your graphics and canva and Photoshop you're learning all of these different skills sound quality which mics the purchase which camera which lens which audio boot which program which computer you are learning and developing so many different skills as a content creator and as an editor because now you're not just creating content from your creativity but you're actually polishing the content and you're making it Shine you're making it bright it's meeting all the qualifications for the 10 method that Facebook looks for the technical the engaging and the narrative aspects you are creating level 10 content and still when you check your

Segment 2 (05:00 - 10:00)

monetization you see that it's only making dollars or cents and it's not adding up to what you know the effort is that you've placed into it and the level of Engagement entertainment and education that you've also provided in the content you know the content is inherently worth more than you've actually been paid for posting it and so it leads to frustration and you realize somehow I still haven't unlocked something that I need to unlock and that's okay because every everybody's been there and most creators stay there they try to do more and try to do better but it never really pushes the needle in a way that scales it up for them that makes them happy and on top of that you fall into this Perfection trap where you try to make every single edit perfect not realizing that this small edit is probably not going to move the needle in One Direction or the other as far as engagement let alone monetization and then you find yourself hesitating to release content and Lord know I have been there where I've recorded entire videos and then I felt as though it wasn't good enough to actually release because I fell into this Perfection trap you know that there's something missing something more than just creativity and something more than editing you know that you need to be more than an author editor and now I want to talk to you about the last level of Content Mastery and the level that I want to invite you to make your mind up that you're going to enter into after watching in this video and that is the publisher see the author writes the book the author passes it to the editor goes over the book reads through it and makes sure everything is worded just rightly they take portions out they make suggestions and they try to make the piece of content that was raw something that's consumable and so it's all about the metrics of engagement on these two levels but the publisher has a bigger picture of the book The Publisher is thinking about how do I get this book in as many people's hands as possible what price am I going to place on this book how are we going to distribute get this content out to the Right audience and let them know about it and when you begin to take on the mindset of a publisher you're going to realize that every piece of content you post should be strategic and anything that doesn't have a strategy behind it is a wasted opportunity and something you shouldn't have done your focus is going to shift from prioritizing your creativity and your abilities to polish the content to what your audience actually needs and wants and providing them with real and Lasting value when you make the shift from being an author an editor and becoming a publisher you're going to stop looking at the short-term benefits of creativity and of polishing great content through your editing skills and you're going to start looking at the big picture in the long-term effects of strategically publishing and pushing out the right content to the right people solving the right problems and making the right connections you're going to go from hoping that your content goes viral so that you can get a good paycheck on the 21st of the next month to knowing that your content is going to reach a strategic goal and help you create a consistent income because now you're not just posting you're posting with purpose even if it's a casual indirect post it's somehow going to tie back into your overall strategy for monetizing your content in this step-by-step system I'm about to show you and instead of just posting everything that you actually create you only create content that you know you're going to use strategically strategy comes before content strategy comes before creativity now that doesn't mean that you're no longer being creative polishing your content it just means that you prioritize the strategy so that it's baked in so that your creativity and your ability to polish your content actually pay off in the long run because after you you've posted it after you've sent it out to the Internet it's too late to install a strategy to capture the opportunities that you've lost when you become a publisher you're going to start focusing on building your own platform you're going to focus on true social media engagement getting to know your followers and as you release content you're going to do so as part of an entire campaign not single individual unconnected pieces they're all going to be interconnected and serving a single purpose of generating a sustain able income so remember that each level Builds on the other the author is raw creativity the editor polishes that creativity and focuses on consumption but the publisher makes sure that it scene is valued and monetized and distributed appropriately because no matter how great an author or an editor you are without a publisher you're leaving money on the table the right people are not going to see your content know that you even wrote a book and they're not even going to know why they

should buy the book those are the things that the publisher takes into account and that the publisher makes sure happens so don't think that becoming a publisher means that you're forsaking your creativity or you're forsaking great content to start posting sloppy videos or videos that your audience isn't accustomed to already it's about making sure you have that strategy in place so that you don't miss those opportunities and so that you monetize your content efficiently and as soon as you make this sh one of the first things you're going to notice is the way that your audience responds and reacts to this new approach to your content because it's going to be so much better because it's focused on providing value to them and they're going to notice that there's a different approach that you're taking to meeting them online and they're going to appreciate you for it with this new approach you're not going to be waiting around until next month to see what type of results your content has created you're going to be able to see results on sometimes a daily weekly basis where you have people coming to you looking for ways that they can invest in you as soon as you make this shift the results are going to speak for themselves you're going to see better engagement a higher quality of people engaging with your content and people who have better intentions for you in the long run as a Creator they follow and whose content they love to engage with and these aren't just empty promises these are the type of quick wins that you can really expect to see by making this small shift in your content and so if this sounds interesting to you then stick around because what I want to give you now is a stepbystep way to actually go from being an author or an editor and actually become a publisher if you just pause for a brief moment and think about some of your most favorite creators you'll realize that they're Publishers now and everything that they release is interconnected and it all comes back to a single strategy that you're really going to understand after I share this three-step framework with you but number one look at Ali abdall you can see how the majority of his content focuses around productivity and he also has a book about productivity that you can purchase another person you can look at is Pat Flynn and you can see how a lot of his content is focused around making money online as a content creator or an entrepreneur and if you spend any time with his content you're going to hear about SPI a lot smart passive income that's his community and even now this video that you're watching right now is an example of what I'm actually telling you about these creators didn't just stop at being creative or creating great content they took things a step further and realized that if I really want to make money from my content then I need to be smart about it strategic and so they're not just authors and editors they're Publishers by embracing the mindset of a publisher they went from inconsistent ad Revenue to building sustainable profitable million dooll businesses and I know those two examples are some really big names but the truth is this works with small creators as well because it's not about the size of your audience it's about the depth of your audience and it doesn't matter about your Niche or the topic or the type of content that you create it doesn't matter this can work for anybody and so I want you to know that these examples are not just telling you that it's possible I want you to understand that it's possible for you and not only is it possible it's probable if you execute what I'm going to share with you next and so now let's just dive head first into my simple three-step process for you going from being an author or an Editor to actually becoming a publisher and number one make a shift in your mindset and this is all about you making the decision that you're going to think differently now in order for you to do this you have to have understood and recognize the wrong thoughts that I've identified along the way in this video the different things that you've thought and some of the things that we're going to point out afterwards that you're thinking right now that you have to recognize that is the way that an author thinks editor things and you have to acknowledge that and label those so that you can capture them and then push them aside and make sure you reaffirm the ideas that a publisher would think it's all about changing the way you think one thought at a time it doesn't happen overnight it's a process but it can and it will happen if you commit to it and this is crucial above everything else because without this you're going to keep thinking as an author and an editor and that means that you're going to behave keep creating content without strategy oh I need to upload to Youtube Instagram I need to post a Facebook yeah I don't have my strategy in place but I need to do it the algorithm is not going to like me if I don't do it and that's the way an author and an editor thinks a publisher realizes I'm not posting anything until I have my strategy in place now once my strategy is in place I can post as much content as I like because I know my strategy is going to catch all of my opportunities and I'm not going to miss

a single one so make your mind up to make the shift in how you think about content creation and then your habits and behavior will follow and so what I want you to do right now if you can is write down on the piece of paper what your actual success looks like not views not subscribers but I want you to write down how much income you're looking to generate on a monthly basis as a publisher write down what type of lifestyle you want to achieve and after you've done that or after you've thought about it I want you to go to the second thing and the second thing that you need to do after making the mindset shift is you need to create an offer and I've said this so many times but an offer is so important it's probably more important than you could possibly realize but it's the way you communicate how you help people some people help other people by teaching them how to cook draw blueprints some people help other people by teaching them how to save their marriage some people help other people by teaching them how to lose weight some people help other people by teaching them how to monetize their own content and it's going to be different for each of us and there may be some overlap but it doesn't matter you have to understand what is the unique way that I help other people and who are those other people anyways that I actually help and how do I help them or how do I entertain them because your audience is already consuming your content it's just a matter of understanding what is something that I can create that goes deeper and that provides more value that they will be willing to pay me for because in your audience there are people that if you created said thing would be willing to pay you for it not everybody but there are some people and you don't need everybody this is crucial because ad revenue and brand sponsorships alone will only create sustainable income for the very large creators you need something sustainable something you control and offer gives you that power when you understand who you can help and how you can help them and you're able to communicate that in the market in a clear convincing and effective way and normally I would tell you to just go ahead and start brainstorming ideas but I'm not going to tell you because I already created an AI tool that's going to write your offer for you all you have to do is click the link in the description get access to the AI tool tell it just a little bit about your audience and it's going to step by step build out your entire offer if you got value out of this video and you're ready to change the way you think about your content from being simply a Creator an author or an editor and you're ready to become a publisher make sure you hit the like button subscribe to the channel and watch this next video that's going to show you three simple ways to start monetizing your content in 2025
