7 GENIUS Ways to Start an Online Side Hustle with Canva AI

And I'll be honest, when I first heard about these different methods, I thought that there was no way that they actually work. But after digging deeper, it turns out they do. So, in this video, I'm breaking down seven of the most genius ways to make money online with Canva AI that anyone can do. Let's dive into it. To kick things off, let's talk about AI generated dotto-dot books. Now, these are puzzles that look like a bunch of random dots, but once you connect them, they reveal a hidden picture. And believe it or not, people are making up to $30,000 a month selling these on Amazon. But what's even more unbelievable is that you can easily make one of these yourself on Canva. So, here

in Canva, I just came in and created a blank page right here that I can work with. And anytime you're editing something like I am right here, you can come over here on the left to magic media and you can create any images you want in here. So I'm going to select graphics and under styles where it says monoline right here. That will give me the right style of images that I want. And now you can type in here any type of image that you want for your dot to dot page. So first up, let's just try a cat. and we'll keep it very simple. But you can, of course, tailor this to exactly what you want and tell it exactly what type of graphic you want it to create.

Now, I'm not thrilled with any of these to be honest. I think this one is the best, but it's missing eyes. So, let's just refine this. I'll do outline of a cute cat. All right, there we go. So, I'm much more happy with this result right here. This is the one that I want. So, I'm going to go ahead and select that one. That will then bring it onto this page. Now I'm just going to resize this to make it larger. I want it to fill up most of the page. And so that is what the design will look like. Now obviously this is not a dot to dot because this these have lines. You want to actually create a dot to dot. Now so to do that you can click on the left here where it says tools and we can click on the shapes tool right here. And I'll click on this circle. Now I'm going to go ahead and change this to a really bright color. Yellow is fine. I'm going to choose green though. And then I'm going to make this very small like this. Even a little bit smaller. And I'll begin to put these exactly where I want the dots to appear. So I want a dot to appear here. Right. And I'm going to zoom in to make this a little bit easier. And then I'm just going to copy this and paste it. So I have a second one. And I put a second dot here. And I'll do a next one. And just go along for all of these to cover all the lines that I want people to be drawing. All right. So once you have all the dots in here that you want, you'll notice that I didn't put dots everywhere. So I left this here. And I'm not going to create dots for those. And that's because if you actually look at one of these books, that's the way that they're designed. A lot of it is dot to dot. But in the middle here, you can see that they left a lot of the details in here. That would be harder for a dot to dot uh book to really demonstrate. So they just kind of leave this in the middle for context. We're going to do the same thing. So now the next thing you want to do is you want to actually click on the background right here and then just go ahead and click on position and we're going to make sure that we select the right layer which is the original one that just has the cat. Now from here I'm going to click on edit right here and then I'm going to click where it says magic eraser. And now here you want to eliminate all the lines that you just went over with dots. So we went over these ones. I'll get rid of this. Right. We can make the brush size a little smaller so I don't hit the other ones. And I'll do all of these. Once you do that, click on erase. And now it will look like this. So now we can go ahead and X out of this. And this is what it's looking like right here. But we do have to clean it up a little bit. So just click anywhere on the image. That will bring up this control panel up here. and I'll click on where it says position. This shows you all the different layers. So, I want to select all of them except for this one. So, I'm just going to press command A on my MacBook. That will select all of the layers. Then, I'll hold down command and click this one. So, all of them are selected. All the green dots are selected and only the green dots. Now, coming up here, you see I can change the color of all of these. So, I'm going to go ahead and click on that and I'll change them to black. So, now all the dots are black. Next thing we have to do is actually add numbers next to them because the way these books work is they'll start with like a number one here and then number two, number three, number four. So the point is you're supposed to draw from 0. 1 to two to three to four as the numbers go up. So we're just going to go ahead and add that text. I'll click over here on the left where it says text. And I'll choose a small font like the body just like there. Let's go ahead and move it into position. And I'll put a number one there. And you can make this as big or small as you want. I think that's a pretty good size. So, we'll do that one. And I'll just copy and paste it. And then put the next one right here. But obviously change that to two. And then I'll do that for every single one of these dots until I've done all of them. And once you've made about 15 pages, export it to a PDF, upload it to Amazon KDP, and boom, you've got a full dotto activity book for sale on Amazon. And while this does take some work upfront, once you have a book on Amazon, it can sell over and over again on autopilot. And because this is so easy to do with Canva, you can easily outsource this to a virtual assistant who can make these books for you so you can get even more books on Amazon. Now, if dot books aren't your thing, let's shift to something just as simple, but maybe even more fun. Let me ask you something.

Would you rather spend 10 hours designing a product no one buys or 10 minutes creating a game book that sells for years? These are would you rather books, funny books that ask the questions such as would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or 100 duck- sized horses. And this niche on Amazon is blowing up. But the best part is with ChatGpt and Canva AI, you can whip these up pretty fast. So, we're going to start by coming over to chat GBT just to generate some ideas. So, I'm in here. I'm going to ask it, give me 50 fun ideas for a would you rather book. And of course, Chat GBT delivered and gave us lots of great ones like would you rather sneeze glitter or fart confetti. So, we'll start with that one. I'm going to go ahead and copy it down. And I'll return back over here to chat to Canva AI, I should say. And we'll create a new design here. Now, this size, I'll do a custom size for this book. We're going to change this to inches and I'll change this to 6x9 and then generate new design. Now, from in here, we're going to click on the left here where it say we're going to keep it where it says design and we're just going to search in here for quiz book for kids. And I really like this design right here. I think it fits it very well. So, I'm going to go ahead and click on that. And this is what the inside of our book is going to look like, the pages of it. So, we're just going to change this up a little bit. We're going to change this to say, would you rather? And we'll get rid of this right here. We don't need this. And you can change up the page however else you want it to look like. We'll get rid of this as well, but I'm just going to for the sake of this, leave it as is. And then what you want to do is you want to click right here. This will actually duplicate the page. If you want to duplicate this several times, oops, let's do that again. Duplicate, duplicate. However many you want to include in the book, that's how many times you want to duplicate it. And then coming up here into the first one, you can just paste in your first would you rather question. So we'll highlight this. I will paste that in. We'll just kind of change up the formatting a little bit. Make this a little bit fit a little better. Just like that. Move it in the middle. And there is our first one right there. Let's make it a little bit bigger. And that is perfect. And then I'll just go ahead and copy the other ones and paste them in the other pages as well. Now what we can then do is use Canva AI to create images for each of these different questions as well. So now I will click on the left here where it says elements and I'm going to click under where it says AI image generator and generate your own. And here I'm going to click on leave it on images or graphics depending on what style you want them to look like. For this one, because this is a kids book, we'll keep it on graphics. And then on styles, just go ahead and choose a style that you like. So I'm going to go ahead and select here where it says organic. And then what do we want to do here? Someone sneezing glitter. And click on generate. All right, these honestly are quite terrifying. So, let's change this a little bit. Let's go back. I'm going to go ahead and change the style here maybe to to handdrawn and we'll do a little girl sneezing glitter out of her nose and we'll try that. All right. Once you have something you're happy with, you can go ahead and click on it and that will just be added to the page. You can put exactly where you want. And then you can do that for every single page in the book. But next up is a way you only have to come up with one funny idea and still get paid for it on autopilot. Funny

slogan t-shirts never go out of style. Trends may change and memes evolve, but Canva AI is going to help you keep up with all of them. So check out some of these simple but very funny designs on Etsy. These shirts, like these right here, do insanely well. And look, there's really not a lot to them. It's just words on a shirt. Very simple to design. Anyone can do it if they know how using Canva AI. So, let's return back to Canva. And this time, we're going to use one of their writing tools. So, I'm going to click on the top right here where it says file. We'll create a new design. And I'm going to now search for t-shirt. So, here it is. T-shirt. We'll do typography t-shirt. That will open up a new design. and we'll choose one of these templates right here. So, let's go ahead and maybe do this one right here. We're not going to make it a snail, but we will change it up. Once you have that, you can click on the left here where it says text, and we'll click on magic, right? And let's go ahead and have it come up with a funny slogan for a shirt for a parent with too many kids. So you can put whatever you want in there and click on generate. And then this is what it says. Says parenting pro juggling kids since forever. So that's what we're going to use. Parenting pro juggling kids since forever. Go ahead and copy that. I'm not going to click on insert because if I click on insert, this is what it looks like. We don't actually want it like that. So I'm just going to undo that. So we'll change this to double click this and change it to parenting pro. And then we will change this to juggling kids since forever. Now that's way too big. So we're going to change this font size so it actually fits. There we go. And we can eliminate this because we don't need this. So we have this logo right here. This obviously doesn't fit. So let's go ahead and eliminate that. And then we will come over here on the left again to where it says elements and click on generate your own. And now I will select graphics and under the style I'm going to select sketch to match what it originally sort of looked like the sort of that sketch idea and then we'll do a adult man juggling. And boom, we have a good design right here. So I'm going to select this one. There it is. I'm just going to make it a little bit smaller. Resize it so it actually fits in there. And there we go. Right there. And you can make that look however you want. The more creative you get with it, the better. Now, I have another cool t-shirt design that I want to show you as well.

So, check out these surreal photograph t-shirts that are for sale on Etsy. These are pretty wild with AI image generators. There's really no limit now to what we can design and put on a t-shirt. Now, to help us out with this, I'm going to use chat GBT to actually help us out. So, let me go ahead and search in here. give me some ideas for some surreal images that would look good on a t-shirt. So, it gave me lots of great ideas. I love this first one, which is just a goldfish swimming inside a light bulb. So, I'm going to go ahead and copy that. And then I'm going to say to chat GBT, create a prompt for me for and I'll paste that in again. and that will give me a more detailed prompt to get a more accurate image for what we are looking for. All right, so here's the prompt. I'm going to go ahead and copy that. Come back over here to Canva like this one. Let's go ahead and clear everything out. I'm just going to highlight everything and delete it. And then I will come back over here to the image generator which we've already used a couple of times. This time I'm going to select image because I want it to be as realistic as possible. image. And under styles, you can choose whatever you want, of course, but I am going to go with the one called psychedelic because I think it will fit very well. And then I'll go ahead and paste in that prompt and click on generate. All right. So, there we go. I really love this design right here. So, I'm going to go and click on that. And you can resize this however you want. Go ahead and export it, upload it to Amazon or Printify or Redbubble or Etsy, wherever. and they're going to handle the printing and shipping for you for these different t-shirts. All you got to do is focus on creating these eye-catching slogans or these funny, amazing looking psychedelic images and let the platforms do the rest. Next up, let's talk about

printables. Think vacation guides, budget trackers, party planners, you name it. Someone prints it out and uses it, that is a printable. And Canva AI helps you create these like professional layouts in a matter of minutes. So, returning back here to Canva, I'm going to click on new design up here on the top left. And this time, you want to select guide. You want something that is a dock like this that says style guide doc. We'll go ahead and click on that. And now, what we want to do is again use this magic right here. So, I'm click on magic, right? And write me a full vacation guide for Disney World. It should be at least however many pages. I'll do five pages for this one. And then click on generate. All right. If you're happy with that, you can go ahead and click on insert. And boom. You can see it starts the guide for you. This is just kind of an outline here. But of course, we're not done with this. We can't just leave it like this. This is just the copy, right? Just the text that we're going to use. So, what you then want to do is we'll go ahead and create a new design here. And you want to do custom size again. and we'll do the same as before. We'll do inches 6 by 9 and we'll create a new design. Now, let's search in the templates here for vacation guide. And you can choose whichever one that you like. So, we'll go ahead and maybe choose this one right here. Right? And so then this right here, you see on the left, it gives you all these templates for the different pages. So, this can be the cover page. I can go ahead and modify this and I can then create a new page. And for this one, I can go ahead and select in here maybe like this one. And for each different sort of heading here or category here, I can create a new page and insert all the information into here and even create images for them as well. So if it says, "Hey, hey, go to Cinderella's castle. " I can generate a picture of Cinderella's castle and put it in there as well. Now

for these next ones, let's move away from Etsy and look at how you can use Canva to make money on social media. More and more, we are seeing Instagram accounts that are blowing up even though they only post AI generated images. All you have to do is pick a niche, generate stunning AI content, and post consistently. And you can do this very easily using Canva. So, I'm going to come over here to Canva. I'm going to create a new design and I'm going to search here for Instagram post. You can see it comes up right here. So, I'm going to go ahead and select on that. Then I'll click, of course, on where it says elements and then generate your own. We've done this before. Now, in this case, I'm going to use images. I want them to be hyper realistic. I'm not going to choose a style because I want it to just be the default main style. And I'm just going to type in here what I want. a beautiful ultra realistic image of a painter in her studio and click on generate. And there we go. We got four great designs. So for this one, the one that's most compelling to me is this one. So I'm going to go ahead and select on this. Go ahead and fill it up to have it cover the entire Instagram post. And that is our first Instagram post. And with this, of course, you can get sponsored. You can have people reach out to have you promote their products and get paid for it. So, there's really a lot of

potential here. Finally, let's cover a topic that's very near and dear to my heart. YouTube thumbnails. Did you know I actually make all of my own YouTube thumbnails using Canva? And I'll show you exactly how I do that using all of its AI tools. So, coming back over here to Canva. This time when we create a new design, we're specifically going to search for a thumbnail right here. And I'll search I'll click on YouTube

thumbnail. Now, the first thing you want to do is reach out to different YouTubers and tell them that you can design thumbnails for them for a price. Once you have an arrangement with one of them, you can go ahead and get their image and upload it. And that's exactly what I've done right here. Now, I'm just going to resize this. Make sure it fills the whole frame. And then I'm going to click right here. As long as I selected the image, I can click up here where it says background remover. I want to go ahead and remove the background. So AI just did that for me in a second. Very, very powerful. Now, if there's any fine-tuning in here, I can go ahead and click on edit right here. And we will use the tool called Magic Eraser. I can go ahead and click on that, and I can erase whatever I want from this image. In this case, I don't want to erase anything. I like it just the way that it is. Now, there's a whole lot you can do here that's incredibly powerful. So, what I'll do is go back and I don't want just a white blank background. I want a specific background. So, I'm going to click right here where it says background generator and we'll just say a beach on a cloudy

rainy day because let's say this video is all about what to do on vacation if the weather isn't good. So, there it just added that background for me. That looks really, really good. So, what else can we do now? Let's actually add some text. So, I'm going to again click on the left here where it says text. I can click on heading. You can type in whatever you want for this to be. Rainy day vacations question mark like that. And I'm going to go ahead and put it here. Change the color to white. Make it a little bit bigger. I'm not going to spend a ton of time on this. I just kind of want to give you an idea of how this works. So, there we go. Like that. And we can add some elements to this as well. So let's go ahead and generate some images for this. We can go ahead and put in here maybe lightning. And I can go ahead and grab that. Throw that in there. But you see that doesn't really make sense. So let's go ahead and try the background remover on that. And there we go. Pretty awesome, right? So I can just kind of stick that up there to just make it a little bit more realistic. Maybe line it up like that. Pretty cool, right? So, just kind of gives you a good idea of all the different tools that are available in here. There's really a ton that it can do to really help you uh make thumbnails or whatever it else it is that you want to do. And there you go. Seven genius ways to make $250 a day or more with Canva AI.
