this video is sponsored by psych2go more of them later in the video hey guys how's it going welcome back to another video in this video we're going to talk about this book over here so it was my 26th birthday a few weeks back and about a couple weeks before then i started this book which is a vision book you may have heard of a vision board before and this is pretty much the same thing it's just in a book form because i think it's more convenient this way there's a lot of research that backs up if you're able to visualize very clearly what it is that you want in your life and what your goals are you're much more likely to achieve them and if you think about it intuitively it makes a lot of sense as well because if you know what your destination is then you're much more likely to figure out how it is to get there and even recognize that you've gotten to your destination so in this video i'm gonna go through my vision book with you guys and actually complete parts of it together so let's go the way that i approach my vision book is in four different steps the first step is

current state of affairs

to evaluate my current state the current state of affairs in which i break down into six different categories which is kind of like how i see my life the next step is to create a vision and an ideal day for myself so what it is i want my life to look like what is it that an ideal day for me would look like this i would also break down into the six different categories and try to be more specific and also make it a lot more visual so it's easier for me to picture it in my head and the next step in order to make sure that i actually achieve these goals i then mark out my 26th year 27th year all the way up to my 30th year the reason why it only goes to my 30th year is because it's kind of hard for me to visualize anything beyond that what's gonna happen and i also specifically saved the space for my 100th year because that is how i would like to visualize what my life has looked like when i'm 100 years old hopefully i make it to 100 years old and the final step is to take that vision that ideal life and what my 100th year i would like to look like and scale that back down to my 26th 27th 28th 29th and 30th year so right now i'm only going to focus pretty much on my 26th year because planning like too far ahead is pretty difficult for me the way that i'm gonna set these goals is what is known as smart goals which means specific measurable achievable relevant what's this what's the last one what's t timeout and time bound i will be sharing these with you guys and also cutting them out and gluing them into my vision board together oh wait before we do that i do want to show you guys my first page over here okay i don't know if it's focusing or not is so this is my 26th year which is when i'm starting this and what it says is memento mori and what that means is remember that you will die this is a saying that comes from the stoics and by remembering that i will die it helps me to remember to live it helps me be a lot braver and it helps me to really push forward and actually do these things i want to do because life is really precious and i will die one day and when i do i want to say that i really lived now let's talk about the state of affairs so i broke this down into a few different categories it's kind of hard to see so i'm just gonna read that out for you um so the

categories are learning family mental emotional health physical health financial career and romance so on the learning front i think this is where um i really have made a lot of progress within the last year or so and that's something that i'm really proud of i wrote study with tina three times a week and i consider this my keystone or my linchpin habit it's the habit that really kick-started a lot of my learning journey i also have here consistency in habit building i also have here's a big one is personal finance so this is the year that i really started evaluating my personal finances a lot more seriously in the family category uh some of these is kind of personal but there's a few things i do want to emphasize which is i didn't have a lot of time to focus on family for the past couple years mostly because of kobe and my family doesn't live near me so this is something that i would really like to focus on especially in the part of having better communication with my family next up is mental and emotional health so this for me has been a pretty difficult year there's been like several times throughout the year that i felt pretty burnt out um just balancing youtube and trying to balance my full-time job as well what i did right here that in terms of my achievements in this category is that i learned to accept help from other people and i learned to acknowledge a lot more of my emotions because i feel like when i was younger what i would do a lot of times is just kind of like ignore my emotions um and just kind of be like i need to focus my goal like i don't want to think about my emotions i'll think about them later but this i'm proud of myself for last year really kind of confronting some of these emotions on the physical side i was in pretty decent shape before the pandemic and then a pandemic hate and then i was not so good shape so that's also something that i need to work on i still did work out and i still bike pretty consistently so that's something that i'm proud of and on the financial category i just did an audit of how much it is what my net worth is right now which i have on notion how much i'm making kind of my revenue flow going in and the costs that are going out and on the career front um 1. 5 years at my current company and on youtube at this time of filming 200k subs on the main channel and around seven thousand on the uh study with tina channel i also have a one course done one course in progress and i also opened up my company this year and on the roman side uh i'm gonna share with you guys that one it's a little personal maybe one day that's kind of the audit of my current state of affairs so with that in mind i then moved on to step number two which is creating a vision and description of my ideal life what are things i would

like to achieve in my life what my ideal day would look like things like that a lot of these focused on freedom um like there's financial freedom there's time freedom location freedom and most importantly they all led to in my opinion is the most important thing for me which is intellectual freedom and i define that as the freedom to be able to do the things that are most meaningful to me at any point in my life routine lifestyle design career design budgeting and finances are part of it and there's also other things i would like to star is like a merch line um collaborations to certain people one of the things i hold really dear to my heart is that i really want to take my mom on a trip to europe which is something that i promised her when i was five years old so that's also something that i really want to do as soon as i can and i then talked about the vision of my life which is kind of a description of what i would like my life to look like in general um there's quite a lot on here but some bits i'll share with you guys is i would like to be based mainly in china canada and the us but be able to travel and work wherever i want because i am fully remote and i also like to have multiple streams of different income mostly online and over 50 percent of it being passive i would like to be running my own business and um having my own focus be just continuously learning and creating content and then the next one i described is a typical day for me so this i try to be as specific as possible like what i want my ideal or at least like one of my ideal days to look like um so for me it's something like waking up naturally at around six and um going for a bike ride for one to two hours blah pretty much it features a lot of exercise a lot of free time um and time to just think reflect create content and read now we're finally at the part where we're gonna do things together it's when i wrote down all these different things but i want to make that visual i want it to come to life so when i'm flipping through this book i'm not just seeing like the descriptions and the words there and actually being able to see these different things so i already

blurry the goal that i still have is the study with tina livestream so that's a really big one and that's a goal that i'm really proud of and i also want to keep doing um over here is reading a lot of books learning about personal finance um and the last one over here is like i do want to get better at my data science skills so this year definitely on the mental and emotions side it was pretty difficult for me i learned a lot about myself especially like what my limits are in a way so like some of the things that i have in here is like the big one is work life balance don't burn out um because i definitely i burnt out a few times while starting my job and also just trying to balance youtube and all the other stuff i'm doing on the side as well so this is like a really big one to understand work-life balance and to not burn out not just like always constantly want to push through this is actually a great segue into introducing more about the sponsor of today's video so um the sponsor today's video is a channel called psych2go you guys might have

already seen these videos i absolutely love psych2go is one of my favorite channels um even before they reach out to me i've watched a lot of videos by them they focus on mental health and wellness in one of the videos that i think was especially relevant to me was the video on how to tell if you are burnt out not lazy because i think that's something that's a trap that i have fallen to many times it's like i keep pushing myself it's almost like the more burnt out i feel the more i push myself because i just like feel like i'm being really lazy you know and this is a video that kind of really stood out to me when i watched it way back um because i'm like hey like these are the signs that i'm burning and i'm like wow i kind of have all of these signs so yeah and then like the animations are absolutely adorable so you guys should definitely check out this video um also the other videos on the channel as well are absolutely awesome and their mission is to bring mental health and wellness to everybody oh and by the way you can check out the video which i will link as a card over here and also in the description and pinned comment so thank you again for psych2go for sponsoring today's video so back to the video i am a person that pretty much has no chill um so this is something i really want to work on it's just being more calm and the practice more mindfulness as well um also i'm not someone who's very in tune with my emotions naturally so oftentimes i would not know i feel a certain way until it gets like super overwhelming i feel like especially when i'm frustrated or like anxious i would just like not realize it until it's too late in a way so i want to be more like mindful about that um also practicing more gratitude over here is a really big one i think being grateful for the things that you have is extremely important and i do this on a day-to-day basis but i really want to make this more into a habit that's something that's more on top of mine for me not just like once in a while and another big one for me in this category is minimalism in terms of kind of reducing my anxiety reducing decision fatigue because that's something that i struggle with a lot so like being able to be more intentional um in the things that i buy and not spend energy doing things that are not important something that popped out a lot on the physical section is just routine in general each of these are routine it's like intermittent fasting routine gym routine uh morning routine night routine as well as biking routine so this is a really i noticed that kind of like the theme that came out of this is pretty much routine financial side i'll share a couple of you guys here as well one of my biggest goals is uh having multiple streams of income um hopefully 50 of them are passive and i also want them to i want to be able to make money online and then i have some saving goals real estate investing which i'm interested in growing my wealth and continuing trading um you might have heard me talk about this in other videos before but it's really just about having different aspects of what i like and designing that into my own career youtube is still featured over here because i absolutely love youtube i want that to be part of my career instagram is something that i'm trying to expand more into and then you have to see the chinese fly over here that's just more i would really like to get more onto trying my social medias um which is something that i'm probably gonna put on one of my goals like for this year because i've tried and i just like keep putting that off and it's something that i would be pretty i'm pretty interested in doing so these are some of the people that would really love to collaborate with i have here like ali abdull sorel moore she's the first person that inspired me to think about vision boards and vision books to begin with so this is big shout out to sorel for this and then some other things over here so the socks that you see i really like to have merch i don't know i really like socks for some reason a merch that i would love to have would be socks with boop on it and beep i don't know something like that comment below if you have suggestions for sock designs another one is like planning sessions this is something that is also what i would love to do is like doing more planning with you guys like kind of dreaming a little bit more and i think a little bit bigger than our day-to-day lives and trying to envision them and then try to work towards these goals so the next section um is part number three

SMART goals

26th year following the acronym of us making a smart goal which is again specific measurable achievable relevant and time-bound so some of the ones i've shared with you guys right now for example in the learning category i really want to continue on this habit of live streaming my study with me three times a week so as you can see this is specific i want to live stream it's measurable because three times a week it's achievable because i know already done it so i know i can keep doing it um it's relevant because by doing these livestreams and learning that's part of what i want to ultimately achieve in the end and then it's time bound because you know three times a week and then also like the more the bigger ones under career section is gonna be something that i will need to flush out a little bit more which i will do so um off camera and then maybe i'll share with you guys if you guys are interested let me know i can share with you guys some of the other smart goals that i have scaled down towards the next year so we've come to the end of this video i hope this was useful for you guys um just kind of going through this process i've also been thinking let me know in the comments if you would like to do like a planning session together we can kind of follow these steps together and then you know i'll also be fleshing out more um of my vision book as well so let me know in the comments if you guys want to do like one of these sessions together i think we'll be nice planning for the new year as well but yeah thank you so much for watching and i will see you guys in the next video or livestream
