Just get the xylitol out of the gum. Get rid of it. And then rest. Rest your mouth. Which means ideally don't even talk. Do nothing for ideally two hours. Now I know for a teacher that's impossible but if you can rest your mouth as much as you can because at that time during that time the xylitol will feed the good bacteria in your mouth and the good bacteria will actually help produce nitric oxide which you may have heard about which will help your breathing lower your blood pressure and even help you think more clearly. So 2 hours after having xylitol, you can enjoy all kinds of benefits for your mouth, your gums, and your body.
