Don't Quit: The Path to YouTube Success I know sometimes it gets hard, but if you don't quit, if you stay focused, and you keep getting better, you will find success. Keep working on your craft, keep improving your videos, thumbnails, hooks, and overall content. The key is perseverance and dedication. You might need to give it 1,000 hours before you find your breakthrough, or even 10,000 hours to reach the level you aspire to. The question is, how much time and commitment are you willing to give? How much of yourself are you ready to invest in your goals? And crucially, how much are you willing to avoid distractions? Some distractions are good, but many aren't. Look at successful Instagram accounts or YouTube channels and see the volume of content they've posted before hitting major milestones. They often have hundreds of posts and videos. Personally, I have around 200 videos, far from the volume needed to reach my YouTube goals. Creating more content is important, but it’s not just about quantity. It's about creating better content. Quality matters. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking otherwise. If your goal is to grow and monetize your content, you need to be serious about it. You need to be willing to give it your all. Even if you’re not naturally competitive, strive to be the best in your space. Without this mindset, you might end up creating content for years without seeing the results you desire, and then quit, thinking it doesn’t work. Meanwhile, others succeed, living your dream. The reality is, if you put the work in, your content will improve, leading to more views, better payouts, and more opportunities. Brands will notice, and opportunities will come. For instance, I get emails for promotions all the time, but my focus is on providing value to my audience and monetizing on the backend. My primary emphasis is on improving content quality. I want every video to be impactful and thoughtful. Sometimes, I create videos that feel mediocre, and I don’t even post them. I have projects I’ve worked on but never uploaded because I felt they weren’t good enough. Improving as a creator is key. Aiming for a goal like 100,000 subscribers isn’t just about numbers. It’s about providing a better experience for your viewers. I want the silver play button, but I focus on the quality of my content, not just on getting subscribers. As a creator, I know the pressure of trying to grow. How do you get big? How do you succeed? The answer is simple: Improve. Incrementally improve every aspect of your content creation. I started with a basic setup and gradually upgraded my equipment, learned better techniques, and improved my skills. Just like folding laundry one item at a time, tackle your learning curve one step at a time. If there are 500 things you don’t know, focus on learning one new thing each day. Over time, you’ll accumulate a vast amount of knowledge and skill. After a year, you’ll have learned 300 new things, and in two years, you’ll be improving on those skills. In three years, you’ll have mastered many aspects of content creation. You’ll understand the game, know how to create effective thumbnails, write good hooks, and optimize your content. Growing as a creator means learning and improving constantly. Don’t be discouraged by slow progress. Focus on getting better. Your efforts will pay off. You’ll see your views, subscribers, and engagement grow as your content quality improves. Post your content, learn from feedback, and don’t be afraid of cringy videos. Everyone starts somewhere. The biggest creators were once at zero too. Keep going, keep improving, and your voice will be heard. You got this. Keep recording, keep posting, and keep growing. We got this. 🎁 Join the Income Creator Community 🎁 If you're ready to take your content creation to the next level, and you're tired of inconsistent payouts, join our Income Creator Community and get access to exclusive resources, coaching, and a supportive community. I know sometimes it gets hard but if you don't quit if you stay focused and you keep getting better and you keep working on your craft you keep trying to make your videos better thumbnails better you keep working on your hooks you keep learning you keep trying eventually you're going to find success and it's just a matter of how much time you actually give to it how much commitment you of yourself you actually give to it and focus on it as to how long it's actually going to take you may have to give it 1,000 hours before you actually find your breakthrough I may have to give it 10,000 hours before I actually reach the level I want to reach and that comes down to how much time am I actually giving every single day committing to my craft and committing to my actual goals and how much time am I allowing myself to be distracted by Pleasures by television and movie and games and playing and or anything else that's distracting away from the number one goal I have of creating content and growing as a content creator because there are a lot of distractions and some of them to be fair are good distractions but a lot of them aren't just pull us away from the things that we actually know we need to be doing go and look at Instagram and look at the people who have the very large accounts and then look at how many times they've actually posted on Instagram go and look at your favorite YouTubers and look at how many times they've posted before they've actually hit 100,000 subscribers you're going to see they have like 5 600 videos I only have like 200 something like I'm a long ways from actually having the volume of content that I need to actually reach the level I want to reach on YouTube and so in my mind I know that the cost is to create more content but not just to put out videos I got to put out better content you have don't let anybody fool you with this talk about getting in a good space and just you know just creating for the fun of it if you really have a goal to grow and monetize your content you got to have that I'm not saying you don't but it has to be more than that you have to be willing to give it your all you got to be willing to put yourself in the space where even though you're not a competitive person you're going to try to be the best in your space domain because if you're not what's probably going to happen is this you're going to create content for maybe 3 to 5 years and play around with it and then you're going to say it doesn't work you're G to quit and just keep watching other people succeed and live out your dream when it could have been you and you'll never realize that the only reason it wasn't you was because you didn't put the work in it's about inputs and outputs if you put the work in if your content gets better you will get more views if your content improves you will see an improvement in your payout if your content gets better you will get more emails from Brands I get emails all the time and I rarely open them rarely do any promotions and I have offers all the time because at this place in my journey as a Creator I'm not really focused on trying to do brand deals and monetized in that particular way I'm really more focused on providing value to my audience and then monetizing my content on the backside but my primary emphasis is on improving the actual content improving the experience for my viewers making sure that every video I upload and share with you is a real one that it's impactful that it's thoughtful that when you watch it you can tell you know man Corey really put some thought into this here I really appreciate the work he's doing I don't want to just keep putting out mediocre content sometimes I put out videos and I'm like man that was mediocre I could have done better and sometimes I don't even post them I got videos I haven't even posted I can show you right now in Des script where I have projects I've worked on videos I've created I've never posted to the YouTube channel because I felt like they weren't good enough I probably should have posted them but I just felt like I could have done better I could have given it more I could have been uh more detailed with it or less detailed with it more to the point right so I just want to give better as a Creator because at the same time I understand that getting better means that if I'm providing you with a better experience then eventually I'll hit my goal of 100,000 subscribers and the 100,000 subscribers is just like it's just something I'm aiming for I want the silver play button for YouTube but uh I'm not focused on getting subscribers views I'm focused on providing a better experience for you and so I understand what it's like as a Creator to be in the trenches to be a small Creator and have this pressure on you like how do I become big how do I get like them and it's very easy I'm not there yet but I promise you when I get there this video will be here on my channel you can come back here and you will say Corey is still saying the same thing and what I found out just from going from zero to where I'm at now was like 185 that's big for me and in my mind all I did was improve a little by little I improved different things I

Segment 2 (05:00 - 10:00)

bought a better camera light I got better streaming software I learned how to use Photoshop a little bit better to make my thumbnails still not great but it's better than what it was when I started I learned how to package my content better like how to actually sit back and take an idea and then format it and package it and present it in such a way that it hooks people in delivers on the promise and they're satisfied right and so this video here could have easily been a video I don't even know what I'm going to title this video this is just a video I want to post just to encourage other people but this video could have been title something like you know five tips that you know every Creator needs to hear or something like that and it's all about the packaging thinking about what creative angle can I take on a topic that's been talked about by a lot of people and present it to my audience and people who going to be discover me for the first time and present it in such a fashion that they stick around and watch it and that they say you know what I want to hear more of this that's what it comes down to packaging and all of this stuff I learned over time like it's like an ant building an ant hill or ant mound they start off with one grain of sand and just keep bringing one at a time it's just like on laundry day when it's time to fold the clothes and I'm sitting there and I'm looking at this huge pile of clothes and I'm like man I don't want to fold these clothes but you know how I get it done I just tell myself you know what just fold the first shirt you know and then just fold the second one and if you just keep doing it one at a time eventually you see the pile of folded clothes getting larger and you see this mess of just unfolded unaccomplished work and task getting smaller and that's what it's like growing as a content creator there are a lot of things in the unfolded clothes pile that you don't know yet you don't know how to edit videos script write good hooks you don't know how to do your color grading sound design there's so much you don't know and you're probably thinking I don't know any of that stuff how can I ever succeed and the thing is all you got to do is just say okay I don't know any of it there's 500 things I don't know but today I'm going to learn one thing and then tomorrow a second thing and then the day after that another thing and you keep doing this over time and in a year you have learned at least 300 new things small things easy things to learn you're not perfect at them yet but you know them you know how important they are and you are working on them and then in two years not only have you learned more things but now you're getting better at all of them and then in three years you've learned so much more and you've improved so much on the things from when you first started out you understand the game now you understand how to use search to get your first audience on YouTube you understand how to create a thumbnail that's most likely to get clicked on you can tell when a thumbnail is not going to get clicked on you have a feeling in your gut when you know you're being lazy with a thumbnail and the idea for the thumbnail sucks you know I can look at my channel and I can tell you which thumbnails that I was creating in the middle of the night tired and I had no inspiration or design inspiration when I was created the thumbnail and I can tell you which thumbnails I created when it just kind of all flowed to me and I knew what the thumbnail needed to look like and the video does well and the other ones don't because I'm just like you I know exactly what you're going through and so if you're just getting started on YouTube then I just want to encourage you keep posting your content when you post it and you get feedback that's the most valuable thing possible when you post a video and you see it get more views than the others even if it's only like man I'm only getting 200 views on YouTube Corey I'm only getting 50 views on my videos I've been there I'm still there I still put out videos about different topics that I'm interested in and I want to talk about they only get a couple hundred views but that's okay hey I know that if I keep creating content around the topic and expanding my channel eventually I'll catch traction I'll build an audience in that Arena and then they'll go back and watch those videos and those videos will pick up traction and you never know a year from now one of those videos could take off it happens all the time on YouTube so don't be discouraged because you're just getting started and you don't see the views audience you don't see the subscribers or the watch time yet you're not monetize yet don't worry about it just focus on getting better and while you're focused on getting better all this other stuff is going to start happening for you you're going to see subscribers start to come your views pick up and then eventually you're going to get monetized and then after that so far past being monetized in your journey if you put the time in and do the work and do what's necessary to learn the things you need to learn about this YouTube game that you're going to realize man it was easy the only thing that made it hard was my ignorance I just didn't know I didn't know that this was what I had to do I didn't know these three 00 things

Segment 3 (10:00 - 11:00)

that were in the folded clothes pile but now that I folded my clothes I know and now that I know I can work on improving and getting better in these different areas and as I improve my content is going to improve the experience for my viewers and that's just going to help me reach my goals by growing online and making money for my content or helping me drive customers to my business so don't be discouraged post a video it doesn't matter how cringy it is I have cringey videos too you've probably seen some of them right just post it and grow as a content creator nobody ahead of you is looking back at you and talking about you everybody even the biggest creators you know were once at zero they had zero posts and one day they just decided to upload their first YouTube video so go ahead and do it don't be discouraged don't worry about people picking at you because nobody's going to do it the only people going to pick at you are the people who will never upload a video to YouTube because they're too cowardly they're too afraid of other people's opinions and they never share their ideas with the world and their voice will never be heard but yours will you know so I don't know who you are I don't know who's watching but be encouraged don't quit don't give up keep going keep recording keep posting your content you got this i got this we got this and as always have a great day take care and I'll see you in the next video hopefully
