in this video I want to share with you the number one blueprint you need for social media monetization for your content in 2024 and in order to do that I need to talk to you for a very brief moment about some exciting things that are happening with threads Facebook Instagram and Tik Tok there are a lot of videos and a lot of content online talking about social media predictions and trends for 20124 because they're popular but they don't make you profit and in my opinion that is a huge problem that's why my channel is dedicated to helping content creators monetize their content monetize their expertise monetize their skills and their entertainment abilities to earn the income that they deserve online the number one thing that content creators need to do going into 2024 is to Value their own content I believe too many creators are putting hours into recording editing sound design and all of the things that go along with content cre creation and not being not even nearly compensated enough for the effort they're putting forward for what they provide on the internet YouTube is probably the best paying platform and I'll tell you right now that even with the amount of money that YouTube pays for the views on its platform it still doesn't measure up in my opinion to what content creators deserve for what I know is the level of effort expertise they put into their content they're growing massive accounts on Instagram Facebook Tik Tok YouTube any other platform you can think of but they aren't happy with the level of monetization they're receiving so if you didn't know Facebook or meta owns a lot of apps and they call them The Meta family of apps Facebook Instagram messenger WhatsApp Oculus threads Workforce or workflow something like that from office stuff they own a lot of apps and a lot of people on the planet Earth use them and recently their app threads which is kind of like a Tex based app but the closest thing you can compare it to is Twitter or X was just released last year and it had an initial success but then a lot of people fell off and stopped using the app but then they released it in the EU and threads shot up to the number one spot in the Apple App Store and as a matter of fact threads was Apple's most downloaded app for 2023 so the app is defin defitely a success but we're going to talk about why it was a success and how you can tap into the same thing that made thread successful for your social media accounts so I know some of you are thinking well Corey that's not important I don't post on threads I'm not that type of content creators this is why it's important one year ago meta did not have a single app in the top 10 most downloaded apps in the Apple App Store but now it has threads Facebook and Instagram in the top 10 apps downloaded in the Apple App Store Facebook yes even Facebook is in the top 10 now and as a matter of fact Facebook and Instagram are growing faster than Tik Tok right now I know this is where the story gets interesting in the third quarter of 2023 meta's daily active users grew by 1. 5% and their monthly 1. 8% Instagram saw a similar increase in overall us on their platform as well and no surprise because Facebook and Instagram accounts are connected they're like cousins or siblings so to speak but even though their app downloads Dro by 1 to 2% they still outperform Tik Tock whose app downloads Dro by 12% people are not downloading Tik Tok at the rate that were downloading it before but Tik Tok is still the number one platform when it comes to where people spend the majority of the time Tik Tok users spend 100 minutes on the platform on average Instagram users spend 58 minutes on the platform and Facebook users spend 45 minutes on the platform so when it comes to engagement Tik Tok is King but when it comes to growth meta is king So what does all of this mean anyways Corey well let me share something that was said in one of meta's earnings call that is going to lay everything out for you perfectly and show you exactly what you need to start doing in 2024 to make sure you're monetizing your own content there are two primary factors that drive our Revenue performance our ability to deliver engaging experiences for our community that's number one and our effectiveness at monetizing that engagement over time that's number two so number one is delivering engaging experiences for our community and number two is our effectiveness at monetizing that engagement over time now let's go back to the beginning of the

conversation and break down what happened with Tik Tok Instagram and Facebook and threads and then talk about how we can use these same principles to monetize our content in 2024 number one threads was the most downloaded app in the Apple App Store and we see that Tik Tok took a 12% dip in downloads in the third quarter of 2023 so is threads just a better app than Tik Tok or is something else going on well I'll tell you right now something else is going on what happened is Tik Tock launched the Tik Tock shop in September of 2023 right before the beginning of the third quarter so what does Tik Tock shop have to do with people downloading Tik Tock Less in the fourth quarter of 2023 it's the first principle of monetization when a platform first starts like Tik Tok even Instagram and Facebook in the beginning it's very easy to reach people quote unquote go viral to get engagement and the reason is simple they want you to enjoy the platform but after people have become addicted to that reach and that engagement on the platform and they're kind of committed to it and locked in they feel obligated to it they flip the table they decrease the reach in the place where your content normally would feel getting viral views they now Place ads so that they can make money by charging the advertiser so they don't have enough space to let you go viral it's not even about whether you're content is good or not you're not stuck at 200 views on Tik Tok because your content isn't good you're stuck at 200 views because they don't have the space to place you they have to place the advertisers and the sponsors and the brand deals and everything else that goes along with them making money for instance Tik Tock Shop people say oh yeah do Tik Tock Shop videos and you're going to go viral of course you are because that's them advertising their products that they make money from so if you take what we know about how platforms start and grow and you look at threads is in the beginning phase where there are no advertisers on threads none at all it's a freet to-play platform they have room for all of your content there you can post whatever you want videos or Texs and there's plenty of room for you to post it there but that brings us to another important point about content monetization whenever you begin to actually monetize your own content you're going to see your growth slowed to some degree and the easiest way for me to explain this is by talking about how people hate to see ads Facebook ads they hate to see ads on Instagram Tik Tok they never think these ads are the only thing keeping these Platforms in business and allowing me to enjoy the platform for free because the advertisers are paying to reach me they just think somehow that YouTube should just be up and running without making any money so that they can enjoy videos so even though it looks like Tik Tok is losing some footing right now and that's an argument you can make for that they're actually playing a different game right now they're actually monetizing the attention that they've created from their Community they're monetizing that engagement over time and this explains why Facebook's family of apps are growing faster than Tik Tok right now because Tik Tok is focused on monetization so it's a great opportunity for you to grow on meta's family of apps because they're going to continue to grow so now let's talk about how you can actually take what we've just talked about with Facebook and Instagram and put it into practice for yourself to monetize your content in 2024 this is what I like to call the social media monetization model and the way you want to look at this model is you want to start in the very center where we're looking at the value because as a content creator one of the first things you want to think about is the value that you're going to be offering to your community to the people who going to be consuming your content this is what Tik Tok Instagram and Facebook all do when they approach their Community they approach it from a value standpoint meta's value proposition is that they connect family and friends together and in a very similar fashion Tik tok's value is that you're going to find some of the most interesting Raw thought-provoking videos on the internet possible and don't ask me about Instagram because I don't know but you have to have something that you're bringing to the table so for instance maybe you know a lot about a particular topic and you're going to have an educational type content or you're very entertaining either way you have some type of value that you're giving to people when you create your content I teach a lot and people find it valuable because these are new ideas they never thought of they help them grow they listen they process it they criticize it they take what they can they throw away the rest but they grow for my content if you're a comedian

or a gamer and people watch your content and they enjoy watching you play the game or they enjoy your jokes they laugh they're getting value from your content because it's adding value to them it's giving them something so determine what your value is but after you you need to have an offer or a promise that goes along with your content this is something that people are going to internalize without you actually stating it when people subscribe to my channel the majority of them expect to learn more about social media monetization they want to hear about ways that they can monetize their content which is why I'm making this video right now because this is super related to my audience but there is an unspoken promise that you're making to your audience with the value you present the content you present and how you position yourself overall but after that promise is a product or a service this is the part the most critical part this is the junction where most content creators break down on the journey and I lose them they leave the video they click away and this is why a lot of them are stuck frustrated depending on meta depending on Tik Tok depending on YouTube and complaining and frustrated because they're creating great content but they're not willing to leverage it outside of that there's a young man I met a while ago on Instagram I love his content powerful brother and I really do believe he should be doing public speaking along with his content and I sent him a DM and I told him like Hey listen I think that you know you should start you know doing some public speaking because you're very motivational I can tell that he's been through some Rust spots in life and life has taught him some very valuable lessons and it resonates when he shares it with his audience and his Instagram is just blowing up right now and he should totally be doing speaking engagements and getting paid thousands for those speaking engagements there are some of you who are very entertaining you're funny and your audience loves you they engage with your content but you don't even have Amazon Associates or your Amazon influencers set up you don't even share products with your audience that they would possibly love and there are some of you who are experts at what you do you're 10 times larger than I ever will be yet you don't have anything put together that can help other people who are aspiring to be like you learn have no digital products no courses no ebooks no downloadable PDFs nothing and if you're in an educational space like I am there should be something that you offer to people who are wanting to come along on the journey with you but need a little help and I'm not saying that you have to turn into a coach consultant or course creator and create this $2,000 $5,000 course that's not what I'm saying but you should have something that you can offer people in exchange for money to supplement the content cont creation process and help you monetize your content independently of meta Tik Tok twitch YouTube or anybody else now just as we discussed before with Tik Tok when you begin to monetize your own content you're going to see a decrease in the level of Engagement because you might have 1 million followers but 1 million people are not going to spend money with you the truth of the matter is that of those 1 million probably 10% will get on your email list you probably got a 100,000 who will be willing to get on your email list of that 100,000 you probably have 10,000 who are willing to spend some money with you but that's enough if you have an audience that size but let's say you have a smaller audience of a 100,000 you probably have 10,000 people will get on your email list and a th000 who are willing to spend money with you but if you can get that 1,000 to spend at least $100 with you then you can make a $100,000 in a year provided you're able to provide enough value going back to the center of this model provided your promise is something that they are connected to and that resonates with them and provided that the product or service that you offer something that solves a problem for them and it doesn't matter what industry or Niche you're in I promise you can use chat GPT to figure out exactly what you can offer and I actually have a document I put together with 140 digital product ideas for all types of different niches just look in the description and I'll put a link where you can go and download that and check out some of those ideas but let's say you know what your value is offer or your promise is and you have a good idea about what product or service you could quickly put together and offer to your community the next two things that most content creators are lacking when it comes to monetizing their own content is a sales funnel and a marketing funnel your sales funnel is simply going to be a landing page where people can learn more about your product and purchase it to wait for them to give you money and you exchange the product with them online without you being physically present and your marketing funnel is going to be a way

for you to communicate with them if Facebook goes down Instagram Goes Down YouTube goes down and you need to get a message to them it could be telegram it could be Community but most importantly it should always be your email list now people are going to get on your email list and then they're going to unsubscribe that's okay you cannot expect everybody who views your content to have a mindset that oh I'm in it 100% with this person and I'm willing to spend money with anything they offer the majority of people don't care they just expect the internet to be working when they wake up in the morning because they paid the Wi-Fi most creators they just want to create the organic content but they've never sat down and thought about what value do I bring to the market because you have to understand in an objective sense what is your value because if you don't you can't determine what your offer or promise is but once you have the value then you have the offer of promise now you can start thinking about products or Services you can use to monetize your content independently now that you have all of that you can start thinking about a sales funnel and then the marketing funnel and so everything Builds on top of one another and now your content can become even better because you understand the value the promise the sales and marketing funnels the messaging and now your content is more informed when you presented to the community because that's exactly what you're going to build you're going to have an audience that Gathers around that's your 1,100,000 subscribers or whatever the majority of them are not going to purchase from you but that's okay everyone doesn't have to purchase from you this is not like oh I'm creating content just for the sake of making money everybody needs to spend money with me that is not the case which goes back to Value you need to be generous and if you're generous you're not going to care about who spends money with you or not so you build an audience and from this audience you're going to build a community this community is going to be the people who are they're more engaged more invested with what you post you're going to see them show up in the comments often like some of the people in my community I can't remember them all by name but I know their profile pictures when I see them I've recognized them because they show up frequently they're always in the comments they do more than just watch the video I get thousands of views every month but I only see hundreds of comments and that's the perfect analogy to show the difference between your audience and your community but your community is not where it stops now after you have your audience your community you have your 1,000 true fans these are the people who don't just watch your content they don't just comment but they take one more step and they actually purchase they actually invest they sign up for your patreon for $5 a month or $29 a month for extra content they purchase the online course they pay the monthly subscription for the community these are those people but it comes down to you being able to recognize the cycles and the seasons there's a season for you to focus on growing your audience because you need to build an audience because inside of that audience you're going to have community members who are going to emotionally support you and keep you going on a journey and then within that Community you're going to have your true fans who are not only going to support you emotionally and help you grow your channel and your platforms but they're going to purchase the products and services that you offer because they find Value in them but when you monetize your content when you offer something those pieces of content are not going to perform as well as other pieces of content that are just pure valuable and that's a general rule maybe you get lucky and that piece of content takes off but for the most part it's not going to perform as well because most of the people in your audience are not going to purchase anything from you they're not true fans they enjoy the content and that's perfect fine they don't have to purchase anything that piece of content is not for them and so when you place your focus on monetization people are going to see your emails and unsubscribe that's okay they're going to unsubscribe from the channel they're going to unfollow on Instagram or Tik Tok that's okay because you're going to go through another season of growth after a season of monetization and you're going to bring in more people in your audience community and more people as true fans
