"Birth works well" without ANY assistance?!

When we aren't allowing fingers, gloves, and instruments inside of our vulnerable spaces, when we aren't stressing the body out with all the interventions from medical providers, and when we aren't leaving our own homes to go into stranger environments, birth works shockingly well, and infection is actually quite rare. Okay, that's true, and there's something to be said there. But correlation is not causation. And also birth working remarkably well most of the time.
