If a woman has low thyroid hormone, we replace it. Same with insulin in diabetes. But if estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone are low, suddenly we're afraid of replacing it to baseline levels. Of course, there's nuance of everything in medicine, but fear is not good medicine either.
