Segment 1 (00:00 - 00:00)

Back sleeping is the most common sleeping position, but for sleep apnnea, it's usually the worst. Gravity pulls your tongue and throat tissues backward, which can collapse your airway and force your CPAP to use higher pressure. But if you're a back sleeper, there is good news. This position keeps your CPAP hose aligned, works with almost any mask, and is great for people with neck or back issues. Just avoid big, thick pillows. Use a slight incline with a wedge pillow instead. It opens your airway, improves your seal, and helps with nasal drainage. Mask-wise, full face works great for mouth breathers, and nasal pillows are fine, too. Just control mouth leaks with a chin strap.
