Elon Musk is probably the greatest living entrepreneur and maybe the greatest of all time. The question everybody has been asking for years now and is only wondering harder as his companies continue to thrive is how does he do it? What's the secret sauce? I wanted to know this, too. So, I wrote the book. For the last five years, I've been collecting every public appearance he's ever been on, going through it, transcribing it, listening, collecting all the best nuggets, and building a book that reads as though he wrote it that started off with millions of words of source material. And we selected just the very best ideas that are the most useful and stitched them together into this really tight book called The Book of Elon. It's very similar if you read the almanac of naval or the anthology of biology. It is in my same style where I collect the best ideas, the most useful ideas that someone has ever shared in their own words and I build a book out of them. And it feels like you're sitting across a table from Elon Musk learning all of his most valuable secrets and stories and strategies that he used to build some of the biggest and most important companies in the world and become the wealthiest person in the world. I think some of the reasons for it, some of the ideas in here are going to surprise you. I've had dozens of people, probably hundreds of people now, reading early versions of this book, even, you know, people who worked with Elon Musk and some of the most diehard Elon fans out there. And even they are finding new and useful ideas from this book and applying them to their lives. I've had people who came into this book as Elon haters or skeptics I should say even sort of open their mind, read the book and update their beliefs based on what they see in here and as they get kind of deeper into it for their own eyes. But the purpose of the book, the goal is just to be useful. All of my books are engineered to be the single most useful way to spend your time. I want you to have a useful idea taken away from every page. I love to see these highlighted and dogeared and post-it noted and all like beat up. And the evidence I have the for having done that for the almanac of all is that it's the top 100 most highlighted books of all time in the Kindle library. And I hope that this one is, you know, up there as well. I think it's really dense. It's really rich with ideas and insight. And I think it'll help you think new thoughts and achieve whatever goal or mission it is that you're on. And if the mission that you're on is finding a purposeful, powerful, meaningful mission to invest your life and energy and time into, I think this will help with that. I think a lot of us are looking around trying to figure out, you know, where to place our trust and our energy and our effort because a lot of things are more confusing and harder than they have been in the past. And I think one of the underrated pieces of Elon is the sort of worldview and the philosophy behind the missions that he goes on. And that's part of how he achieves what he does is being, you know, unbelievably dedicated because of the engine and desire that's driving these. It's not just, you know, wanting to build a company or even just build a great product. It's wanting to really solve a problem at the species level at the humanity uh for all of humanity. and serve our present and our future in this really powerful way. And I think that's a mission that a lot of people can gain value from and resonate with. Like all of my other books, this is being made available for free. The free audio book will be posted on my podcast and on YouTube. The free digital versions are available on elonmusbook. org. The purpose for this is I really believe that, you know, if you can't afford a $5 book confidently, then I want you to have this information and these useful ideas that much more. Um, and I want to personally gift it to you. You know, we did this with the Almanac deval and I think five million or more people have read the free version and we still sold two million copies and translated into 40 languages and it spread all over the world and that you know I know from the messages and emails I've received has changed a lot of lives and uh that really inspired me to kind of keep going writing books and keep working on this format and I think Elon you know he's uh certainly always in the headlines maybe a little more controversial than Naval a lot more, you know, enemies just because of a high profile. But I really think that there's a lot to learn from this person. Not every single thing that he does you could or even would want to emulate, but there's certainly really powerful important ideas for you that I think can change your life. And I think if we get this book into enough people's hands and the good ideas into enough people's heads, you know, we can meaningfully change the trajectory of the world. My goal for this book is that the next generation of entrepreneurs has 1 million Musks. It's not to say 1 million people building electric car

companies, but I mean 1 million people with grand vision, incredible courage, intelligence, and a really intense combination of skills across engineering, vision, pace, management, communication, inspiration. the scale of projects and the ability to drive breakthrough that people consider were impossible before they were made is something that you know more people pick up that mindset and pick up this playbook that's in this book. You can learn so much from how he's done this and sort of feel the walls and the limitations fall away from what might be possible. Um it'll really inspire you. Your imagination will grow. Your creativity will grow. You'll become more capable by seeing what others have been capable of. I remember hearing Sam Teller, Elon Musk's personal assistant, say, "You can only conceive of the level of excellence you've experienced. " And I think if you spend a few hours in this book with Elon, seeing how he does what he does, you will almost automatically turn it up a notch or two because you'll see how good can be. and you'll stretch your imagination and start to question what's possible and some of the limitations or perceived limitations will fall away and I think it can change your life and I think you can change the lives of many people downstream of in how it affects your actions. There's so many free ways to help and support the project and spread the word and share the book. You know, follow on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and reshare. Gift the book to friends. I really believe and I've said it a thousand times that being gifted is the greatest compliment a book can receive. Uh and that's been a huge part of the growth and success of the Almanac to all is people, you know, buying the book for each other, recommending it to each other, and it's spreading through word of mouth because it's a really useful book. It has is rich with ideas. And I think this has the same sort of aspect. There's blurbs on here from Nal, from Mr. Beast, from David Senra. Uh launch days are huge and critical for authors. Uh they only come around every few years, but launch day, launch week, getting early momentum on a book is absolutely make or break. So I would really appreciate just 2 minutes and uh it would mean the world to me. Thank you so much for listening and coming along on this journey with me and all the support that's uh you know helped make this book possible and make it what it is.
