How to Connect Your Temple Wallet to the Tezlink Shadownet Test Network

Hey there. Today we're going to look at how to connect your Temple wallet to the Tezlink shadowet. Now, Tezlink is a code name for the Michaelson interface being released as part of the Tesla X roadmap. So, right here inside Temple, the first thing I'm going to do is open the menu. I'm going to go into settings. I'm going to click networks. And then I'm going to switch this to the test net tab. And then inside here, I'm simply going to click on the plus icon. And then it's going to ask me to enter a name for the network that I want to add. I'm simply going to type in Tezos Shadowet. And I'm going to paste in the RPC URL in here. Once I have the RPC URL pasted, you would notice that the chain ID automatically is populated by Temple and the symbol is also automatically added by Temple as well since Temple can automatically detect uh the symbol and the chain ID for the network. Next, I'm going to get the block explorer URL. And all of this is going to be available in the description below. So, your RPC URL and also the block explorer URL will be available in the description below. Next, I'm just going to click on save to save this. And if I scroll down, I can see that my custom test net, which is the Tezlink shadowet, has been added to the Temple wallet. All right. So, now that we've added the Tezos shadownet uh as one of our networks on Temple, let's try to get some tez in our wallet. So to do that, I'm simply going to copy my existing uh wallet address from Temple. I'm going to go in here and I'm click on Tezos and click copy. Then I'm going to go into the faucet here. So we have this faucet that we built for the Tezlink shadownet and that's also going to be linked in the description below. Um I'm going to paste in my wallet address here and I'm going to give myself say 10 tez. Next, I'm just going to click on request 10 XTZ. And we can see my tez is on the way. And I can return into Temple to confirm if the tez came in. So, if I go back into Temple and if I look here, this is the Tezlink shadownet network that we added. You can see I've got 10 tez in here. We can also look at these transactions on the Tezlink Shadonet Explorer. To get to the Tezlink shadownet explorer, it's simply shadownet. tezlink. tzkt. io. So if I come into the Tezlink Shadownet Explorer, I can simply paste in my wallet address in here to look at the transactions that have occurred on my wallet. So back in temple, I'm going to copy my wallet address and then I'm going to go back into the Tezlink shadownet. I'm going to paste my wallet address in here. And then I'm just going to click on enter. So this is going to show me that I've got in 10 tez, which I got from the faucet earlier. Then I also got another two tez from the faucet as well. So everything is working and we've gone ahead to add our wallet to the Tezlink shadownet and we've also been able to get tez from the Tezlink faucet into our wallets.
