To get started with creating a custom idea form, first click on the collect new ideas button. A list of already created forms will appear where you can view the forms, see ideas associated with each form, and share the form links.

To create a new form, click the new form button. You can then add a title and any instructions you'd like people to follow when filling out the form. Then add any teams you'd like tagged to the form and team members who should receive notifications

Lastly, you can add standardized fields to ask more specific questions. You can add single-select dropdowns, multi-select dropdowns, and custom text fields. Then decide if you want any of these fields to be required. Once you're finished, click the create button at the top. You can now share the link

and people can submit feedback through the form even if they do not have a ProductPlan account. You can stop accepting ideas at any time by clicking this toggle. In the submitted ideas tab, you can see what ideas were submitted to the specific form. For uploading ideas from a spreadsheet, upload the file that contains your ideas.

Then map the necessary fields and click the import button.

When creating an idea directly in ProductPlan, first click the new idea button. You have the ability to use one of the custom forms you created while submitting, so your idea has the standardized fields from that form. From there, fill out the title and a description of the idea. You can select any teams you'd like to associate with the idea, the customer if the feedback came directly from one, and any keywords to tag to the idea. Once you're finished, click the submit button in the bottom right corner. And congrats! You just learned how to create customizable forms and submit ideas in ProductPlan.
