How to PRESENT PowerPoint in GOOGLE MEET

let's look into the steps that you need to take and be aware of when presenting a powerpoint presentation in google meet let's assume you have a powerpoint presentation with three slides that you would like to present therefore you first need to join a google meet invite for demonstration purposes i will just start my own instant google meeting now but the interface will just be the same as for any other google meet invite having started the meeting you are asked to allow the usage of your camera and microphone in my case i do not have a camera or microphone connected or maybe denied the usage earlier while this error occurs however for you and within a real meeting i recommend allowing both connections since most likely you will need at least your microphone when presenting a powerpoint presentation later so just click allow having entered the meeting your screen will look like this so to share your screen you can click on the share button at the very bottom of the screen which says present now clicking on the button you can choose which format you want to present since you only want to share a powerpoint presentation you should not share your entire screen nor a tab of your browser so just click on a window next you will be able to select the window you want to share from all the windows you have currently open to share a powerpoint presentation click on the one you would like to share and click share having clicked on share you will jump back to the presentation you are sharing so let me again open the google meet invite in the browser on top now you can see the shared powerpoint in the background and the google meet session with the shared screen that everybody else can see in the foreground be aware that if you're currently in editing mode in the powerpoint that's also the window that will be shared with others for example if i move my mouse to the right side of the powerpoint in the background as well as move the mouse wheel downwards i flip the slides which can be seen in my shared google meet invite as well if you would like to share the full presentation you need to start the slideshow by clicking on the button in the lower right corner or by presenting shift f5 on windows if you're only working with one screen as i do here it might be the case that after having started the slideshow you will also only see the entire full screen with your google meet windows being covered by the presentation to move the google meet again to the foreground you need to push alt and tab for windows to see all your currently open windows now move to the google meet and open it again in the foreground in the background you might still see your full screen presentation just as everyone else in the google meet to switch slides you can again hover with your mouse over to your presentation in the background and scroll with your mouse wheel as you can see i'm moving from slide 1 to 2 and finally to 3. to end the presentation you can either scroll until the very end of the presentation such that it will go back to edit mode after the last slide as can be seen here or you can move back to the presentation with alt and tap and press escape you will again be in the edit mode and need to pull back the google meet to the foreground to stop sharing your screen just click on stop sharing screen on your google meeting at the very bottom and the participants will not be able to see your screen anymore you can exit the google meet and that's it let me know in the comments if that was helpful and subscribe if you want to get more knowledge nuggets on presenting and presentation
