Segment 1 (00:00 - 05:00)

Are you someone that can admit that they're wrong? Are you one of these people that imagine you're always right and everybody else is always wrong as long as they don't agree with you. If they agree with you, they're right, too. But anytime they disagree with you, they're wrong, always, 100% of the time because you're always right. And I know some of you, right as soon as I say that, you're like, "Oh, yeah, I know people like that. Yeah, my cousin Ted, he's like that. Man, that dude thinks he's always right and everybody else is wrong. " But I promise you, nobody watching [clears throat] this video right now thought, "Oh, yeah, I'm like that. DT, you're talking about me. Of course, I'm you described me perfectly because honestly, I just described everyone like that. You're right. Everyone watching this video, including the guy making this video right now, we all should have said, "Oh, yes, I'm like that. " Because we're all like that. We always imagine we're always right, everybody else is always wrong, and I think a lot of this today has to do with social media has just poisoned people's minds. It's really trained people to be these negative kind of people where, you know, people imagine there is a certain set of beliefs or opinions that are right to have and that if you don't you necessarily buy into that, something's wrong with you and by wrong, I mean you're immoral, you're evil, you're less than human. Of course, anybody with a brain, anybody that has more than two brain cells to rub together can actually think, you know, logically, rationally, and understand that I can have an opinion on something, you can have a different opinion on the same thing, and, you know, maybe both of us are wrong. right even though we have different opinions. Maybe one of us is right, wrong, and maybe it's me that's right, you're wrong. Maybe you're right and I'm wrong. But guess what? Neither one of us necessarily are a good person because of whatever opinion we took or a bad took. For example, if, you know, you stated some opinion on something and I said, "Hey, I have the exact opposite opinion, you're a bad person. " What would you think? Would you go Would you step back and go, "Oh, DT just said I'm a bad person because I have a different opinion than him. He must be right. " No, you would never even consider that you're a bad person. You'd be like, "DT has lost his mind. He doesn't Of course, I'm a good person because I'm me. I'm always right and I'm always a good person. " Right? And you'd be right to think that because I would be a complete and total jackass to ever tell somebody they were a horrible person because they had a different opinion than me. I would never do that. I'm not that kind of person. But many people are. And then these people also don't understand like if some random person came up to me on the street and said, "DT, you have this opinion on that, you're a horrible person. " And then, you know, okay, whatever. I don't care. — And then they get mad because I don't care. "What do you mean you don't care, DT? " I don't know. Would you care if I have an opinion of you being a bad person because I don't like your opinion? No, of course not. But that's different. I'm right. You're wrong, DT. — This is just it's idiocy and I can't understand how people can't step back and objectively look at themselves and the world around them and not see all the madness that is going on. Right? We have forgotten how to be just decent human beings, how to conversate with each other, how to just be around each other. Right? How to just, you know, used to old people, you know, back in the day and old times, we just sit around. Now, I'm putting myself as old. I you know, I'm like I 49 years old, nearly 50 years old now. But even people older than me, I mean, hell, I lived, you know, I grew up before there was such a thing as the World Wide Web. But even people before like, you know, TV was popular and things. You know, you get people that are 80 or 90 years old, right? They lived back in a time where people would just sit in a house or on a porch or, you know, at a shop, drink a cup of coffee. Then maybe they talk a little bit, maybe they just banter back and forth. A lot of times though, those kinds of people, you know, they could just sit and not say much about anything. Right? They just sit in each other's company, just be happy there's other people around. We don't necessarily have to talk. give our opinion. If I happen to give my opinion, you can give yours and I don't care. Right? That was what people used to do. Now, when people get together, they feel like, "Hey, no matter what the scenario is, I have to give an opinion. I have to state my opinion on everything, no matter where I'm at, and I got to be a loud about it, I've got to be forceful about it, and if anybody says, 'Hey, you know what? I don't agree with that. ' I'm going to shame that person. I'm going to tell that person he's a horrible person and he has to change his opinion. And I'm going to justify everything as far

Segment 2 (05:00 - 07:00)

as my beliefs, I'm going to have excuses for why I believe all of my stuff, and if other people tell me I'm wrong, you know, I'm going to be lined up with all these excuses why I'm right. " You know, it kind of reminds me of these people that break the law, right? That go to court and then you in court, you never see this. You never go to court and the judge asks, "Hey, guilty or not guilty? " Somebody immediately stands up, "Yes, I'm guilty. Of course, I'm guilty. You know I did it, judge. " They never do that. They have an excuse. Even if they're going to plead guilty, "Well, you know, I did run that red light, but the light was in my eyes or, you know, the the traffic light wasn't working properly. I you know, I something was wrong. There was a reason I broke the law. " Or if I got caught speeding, you know, "The car, there's something wrong mechanically with the car. The accelerator was stuck. I didn't mean to go that fast. " Right? — Everybody's got an excuse for everything. Nobody ever says, "Oh, yeah, I was wrong. " Nobody does that anymore. And it it's kind of sad. We just have to self-justify everything we do even when we know we're wrong. We have to turn it into a right because we just can never be We can never be wrong. It it's an impossibility. In fact, one of the reasons why people argue so much today, especially on the internet, is I have to disagree with everything you say unless you agree with me. And the reason is I can never admit that I'm wrong. So, if you ever say anything that is patently absurd as far as it doesn't, you know, equate to what I believe in, I have to be loud about it, I have to tell you about it because I have to just I have to reinforce this idea that I have to be right in my beliefs. So, I can't just let something go. If somebody says something that is a an opinion different than mine, I have to speak up about it because just even being silent in my thoughts, you know, I might be thinking, "Oh, his opinion, you know, now that I think about it, he might be right. " And I can't think that because if he's right, that means I'm wrong and I can't be wrong because again, social media has told me if I'm wrong, I'm a bad person. I'm an immoral person. I'm an evil person. I don't even deserve to call myself a human being. And yeah, just you know, we got to break free of that kind of ridiculous mindset. Anyway, food for thought, guys. Peace.
