" I just walked out of the knowledge 2026 keynote and here are the three things CISOs need to do differently right now. PS, the last one's the best tip. First, if you're still managing security as a collection of tools, you're already behind. Everything is siloed, nothing is context aware, and the teams are stitching it all together manually. What you actually need is a control layer that understands what's happening across your environment in real time. And that's where Service Now comes in. And if you think Service Now is still a ticketing platform, you've been living under a rock. Service Now is like the air traffic control or the coordination layer. It's a system that makes your tools make sense. Second, if your analysts are still the ones doing the investigation, writing reports, and figuring out next steps at the same speed as before, that needs to change. Service Now has individual agents for all types of security and risk. Agents for fishing, vulnerability management, security operations. But the bigger point is this. If AI isn't helping your team get to the right outcome faster, it's not delivering value. Third is identity. Both human and non-human. Most orgs still don't actually know who has access to what. What you need is a normalized view of access. Who can do what, where, and whether it makes sense for their role.
