Here's a tool for oiling conversation. If you ever don't feel conversations going that way, this is a really good thing to use. It's called Rasa, the Sanskrit word for juice. R A S A. It's an acronym. It stands for receive, which means paying attention to the person who's speaking. Eye contact, maybe leaning forward slightly, pointing at them. Absolutely paying attention to them. The A is appreciate and that is the little noises and gestures that we make during conversation which help the thing to go along which show that you're really paying attention. Oh, really? Those kind of noises. The S is summarize. The word so very powerful word. — It's pretty incredible where you build up to five days sometimes more of consuming nothing but water. — Whoa. Let me get this straight. So you're talking about 5 days of just water, no food at all. — That's right. And nothing else to drink. — So what I just understood that you said is this. Did I get you? It makes it clear that you actually received accurately what was sent. And the final A is ask. And you really want to do this. — I'd really like to try. — Ask questions, especially the ones why, which, when, what, where, who that do not permit the answer yes or no. So that's rasa.
