The library isn’t just for books — it’s a gateway to your community

If you want to get offline and reconnect with your community, go to your local library. What you will find at the library is books and more. And what I mean by that is in any given library, the heart of the library are its books. Books that are written by various authors covering various topics from a variety of angles. Library is a place where you can really explore any topic that you're interested in. You can go and see many ways and many things that people have wrote about that topic. But the library is also more than books. Many libraries now offer creation spaces, maker spaces, co-working spaces, places to record. And these are all free resources that are available to you with your library card. And so I encourage people uh to step into the local library and check out all that it has to offer. If you feel intimidated about stepping into the library, I'd encourage you to go to the library's website. Many libraries have multiple locations across the city, and these locations are very different. Some of them have different things, different resources. So starting at the library's website is one place to really see where you actually want to get started. Then of course when you get to the library you will see librarians there who are friendly folks who'll be more than happy to help you and assist you whatever your hearts desire.
