NEW Perplexity Comet AI Browser Update!

Perplexive recently released a bunch of new updates to the comet assistant as you can see. So they've just announced this recently and basically Perplexive said with the AI assistant it must be personal, transparent and have sound judgment. So now it shows you exactly what it's doing and lets you determine how it acts etc. asking for permission before completing sensitive actions. Right. So let's have a look here. It

says comment assistant which is their new AI browser and the assistant that works inside there. And Delmare says, "Quick question. Are AI workflows out the door or are they replaced by AI agents? " I still think AI workflow some of the most important things you can inside your business and quite often they're operated by AI agents. Right? So let's have a look at Comet. So basically they said for this to work our approach to AI assistance is grounded in three core principles. Transparency, user control, and sound judgment. So you can actually watch the AI assistant work and when you use it's browsing for you and you can see what it's doing. this step by step, right? So, you can see how it works, etc. Some built-in safeguards here, too. So, you can see it says, "Can you confirm you want me to place this order? " And then it can actually order, for example, on Door Dash, which is pretty crazy. And yeah, we're going to open this up and just have a look. So

if you haven't got access to Comet, it is the AI browser as you can see right here. So, I'm just going to log in. One second. And now we have Comet open here. Right. If you don't have access to this, you can just download it via Perplexi's website. Pretty simple and easy to use. And once you've done that, you'll see a page that looks like this. Right? Now

if we click on the assistant over here, this is where we can basically ask the assistant to do whatever we want. Right? So, it's an AI powered browser. It can go off. It can create stuff. It can do actions for you. For example, if we go to Plexi's page here, we're like, okay, let's test this out. So, we're going to have a look at some of the examples. I'm going to say, right, okay, we've come ask anything. So, I'm going to say, okay, summarize the key changes on this page plus what it means for me. Then you can see the key changes and upgrades here. Right? So transparency, user control, sound judgment, consistency across assistance, right? So you can see some of the examples. And then now we can say, okay, go to Logitech and add the MX Master Mouse to my car. So let's try this. So go to the assistant, type in go to Logitech and add the MX Master Mouse to then we can choose whether we allow it. So I'm going to click on always allow. It's navigated to Logitech as you can see. And you can actually view what it's doing right now. That's going to change the language on the page. It switched to the United States. So, it's really smooth when you're using it now. Like, it's pretty easy. It's actually got a lot better, I think, since last time I used it. And as you can see, it's navigating to this page and just automating the process for me. Right. So, it's added the MX Master Mouse to my cart. Navigate to this page automatically. I'm not touching anything. I've literally just gave it a prompt and then it's gone off and done it. And you can see how it works right here. Pretty cool. Then, we can view cart and check out and that sort of thing. Now, whilst it's doing all of that, you can see its work over here. So, if you click on the steps completed section, you can actually see what it's done step by step in the past. So, it basically is very transparent with you in terms of like how it's thinking, what it's doing, etc. Again, I think there have been some privacy concerns and that's why they're addressing it with this new update, but it works really nice. It managed to navigate to the page, scroll down, change the language, actually get the mouse, and then add it to the car. And that was really simple

wasn't it? Now, if you're not familiar with the assistant and how it works, let me show you some other examples. So, we could say, okay, go to LinkedIn and start doing this. So, let's try this. Find jobs on LinkedIn. In fact, maybe I can just grab that and ask it to type out. So, I think you can if you click the plus sign on the assistant, click on screenshot, then you can take a screenshot of whatever you want to type out. That there we go. Yeah. So, it's only right there. And then you can see it's typed out the text from that screenshot. So, just to recap, you click on plus, then you can screenshot the text that you wanted to write out. So, I screenshotted the prompt here. We plug that into the chat, and then we can copy this. Go over to assistant. Type in that prompt. You may have to log into LinkedIn for me. Let's check this out. We're already logged in. That's pretty. Then we're going to click on allow. It navigates to the job section, and it's searching for product manager in the top left. You can see how the screen is blue. So, that's when the eyes operate your tab. It's typed in product manager. Hit enter. Now you can see it's found all the jobs that we wanted to get. Now it's actually filtering the responses which is pretty crazy. And it's typing in Adobe for example and Auto Desk. So what it's essentially doing on this page is just trying to find a bunch of creative companies where it can filter the job search only to those and then start searching through the web for and it's screenshotting the page as well so that understands what's going on. So it's added Sketch, Figma, Autotodesk, Adobe etc. It's going to add Envision now too and the speed at which it operates is unbelievable really smooth. Top Pro Web Agency says, "Where is the screenshot button? " So, you want to click the plus sign. I'm not going to do it cuz the AI is operating right now. But you can click on the plus, then click on screenshot, and then it take a screenshot of whichever part of the page you want to use, and then just type in whatever you want it to do. So, if you wanted to type out the text from the screenshot, you would put that in the chat. So, it's done the filters, found a list of jobs, filtered them down. It's collecting all the information right here. So, you can see it analyzes and understands the page. The interesting

thing about this as well is this is a job that potentially you would give to a virtual assistant or to a human, but you don't really need to do that anymore. And I think the more you use this tool, the more you don't understand how it works and how you can use it and how it's practical, right? The main thing is like you want to take and test this and then figure out, okay, what are the workflows I can give to perplexity and it can handle that rather than having to rely on someone else to do it, right? And then you can move 10 times faster. You can also have multiple tabs and multiple different agents working at the same time operating the AI browser as well. And there you go. For example, I can flick to another tab whilst this is operating in the background if that makes sense. We could also use this for finding the best travel deals. So we can say, okay, search a few major sites and find me the cheapest flight from to New York on next Monday. So let's try this out. We'll go back to the assistant, type in that prompt, see if that works. Right? And now you're automating multiple different tasks in multiple different tabs and they're all independently operating whilst you go off and do whatever you need to do. So you can see here for example on this side is doing the job search and navigating through Google flights and trying to find flights from San Francisco to New York and the dotions for next month. You also seem to have to hide these as well. So if you click on the red button on the tab you can hide this tab if you want to as well if you just want to make it cleaner. And if you right click that. So if you rightclick search, you can search a new tab in a group, move group to a new window, close the group, ungroup, etc. And then we have the responses from LinkedIn. So we said find jobs on LinkedIn for creative software as we did before. It's found the featured job about the role, all the information right here. Right? And if we click on 46 steps completed, you can see all the step-by-step processes that it's done to generate that response. Right? So it took 46 different independent tasks from the AI to generate that output. And it did that automatically without us even. So let's see how it's getting on with the job search. It seems to be searching for the cheapest flight and the best options. And you can see here it's giving us some options already in terms of this. And it's also creating multiple tabs. So you see how this is grouped to the top with the tabs. It's searching multiple different tabs at the same time to do the research. Right? So it's now navigated to Kayak as well as to Google flights and it's going to compare multiple different websites for the cheapest option. And it's doing this all independently whilst I talk to you. You can also, if you go back to that other job that we were doing, the LinkedIn job finder, right? When you're looking at the screenshots, you can actually open them up as a popup there and then copy or save the image. And it's all ordered in terms of what it's doing. And you can see the task it does, right? So, for example, it's clicking here. It's typing here and then breaking down the information. And you can ask more questions about the jobs over here as well. And now it's created a third tab for Expedia. And so, it's just going through all the different websites and that sort of thing. So, there's some really cool stuff that you can do with Publexia. Honestly, since I last tried it, it seems to be super powerful. It's a lot faster than I previously used and seems to be a lot more independent, whereas before it was getting stuck and struggling, that sort of thing. You can also use it on Google Docs as well. So, it's really worth checking out. I think you can actually use it for free as well. There is a more of a limit when you're using this for free with either way. Like the browser is becoming more impressive. You can also take those screenshots, get it to type stuff out, and yeah, really amazing stuff. result.
