Have you heard of Colombia’s cloud forests? ☁️🌳

These are the cloud forests of Colombia, where constant mist and moisture makes everything grow super fast. Plants grow on top of plants, and one single tree can host thousands of other species. It's like an entire forest growing on top of another forest. But these incredible forests are at risk of becoming this cow pasture because that is a very common way to make a living here. So together with Planet Wild and Fondestion Magnolios, we are helping to protect these cloud forests by building a massive nature reserve. Step one, buy the land to make sure it is protected. And step two, let nature take the lead. Because of the moisture in the air, the ecosystem here can generate at an incredible speed. But there are certain species that are so rare, they do need a little help from us. Which brings us to step three. The team searches for the almost extinct magnolia trees, collects their seeds, grows them in nurseries, and eventually replants them in the wild. And that is how we stop cloud forests from becoming cow pasture. Protect the land, let the forest recover, and bring back those species that are disappearing.
