this is amazing boy cheers have a great birthday we love you bye Uncle Bill happy birthday there's a lot of things I'd like to say none of them none of the stories about you I can repeat but have a great birthday uh you've been a wonderful Uncle what more can I say thanks Bill foreign Bill's brother Bob and once in a while I put a few lines together and I thought it would be appropriate to do this for bill today on his birthday it seems just yesterday that I wrote you a line at 65 and now hardly believe how fast we'd arrive at this year that for you is 75. yes you're still on the go like a bee and a hive and never just working from nine to five much more you need for you to thrive I'd say for you're far from ready to take the dive you start your day at the crack of dawn to The JCC is first where you've gone you work out berries you follow no rule it can be treadmill bike or a game of pool this is where you really take your cue we used to meet for a coffee and Bun and work together till the crossword was done but lately we're like ships that passes the night because you're taking off when I adjust the light from the why you're off to Adam's Playhouse Satan you're into cards unloopers not real estate there are times when you talk to people irate but you have The Knack their wrath to abate you love the action you'll love the play love the wheeling and dealing through most of the day for you it's like eating some gourmet food it just makes you feel so very good at night on the sofa just after you dine watching TV you usually recline and before the evening clock strikes down you're often you've often drifted off over the line into a Dreamland that's really feels quite fine with sound effects like an engine's wine I wonder who's louder yours or mine well here's a toast to you Bill from all of us here and from those who have gone but we feel are quite near may you have Peace and Freedom from strife may you always have love and joy in your life may you have strength and may you have health for that dear bill is the greatest wealth Lisa has a little uh letter that she kind of wrote uh my name is Lisa I'm one of Bill's millions of nieces and nephews and I wrote a little letter that I was planning to be more personal but I read it to my dad last night and he thought it would be a good idea if I read it here tonight so I will and does this help can I hold this sure you have to show that apartment dear Uncle Bill one of the happiest moment memories of my years at overnight camp was receiving mail it was wonderful to get news from family and friends it didn't matter so much what stories were told in the letters it was exciting simply to receive them of course the more letters the better it meant there were people back in my regular world who cared about me I'm supposed to use this okay as pleasurable as it was to receive any letter it was most exciting to get

the gum letter the gum letter I hope you can all see this because it's this is a very memorable event in my life no as you know it was absolutely forbidden to receive care packages including any kind of food candy or snacks the ostensible rationale for this policy was that food in the cabins would attract animals even the tiniest stick of gum was confiscated what animal eats gum no treats ever made it out of the camp office where the mail was received and sorted I clearly remember cabin mates who were escorted to the office to have suspicious packages and letters opened in front of them only to have their treats removed before their eyes these kids would trudge back to their bunks dejected what was the fate of those goodies no doubt they lined the tummies of a few greedy staff members luckily for me the gum letter just in case you ever forget the gum letter was never detected a rectangle of cardboard was cut to fit the long envelope which would be its home the gum closely packed and taped to the cardboard left no indentations for the searching fingers of the prying counselors when the long fat letter was put into my hands my heart rejoiced back at my cabin I was the Envy of all around me Not only was I rich with forbidden booty but I had an uncle clever enough to smuggle the gum past the guards my friends were suitably impressed thank you Bill for this very happy memory and for the letter that the letters that came along with it we're all wishing you a very happy birthday and we love you very much first I just want to say thank you Mom for doing such a good job at getting him here you did a fantastic it's fantastic Mom thank you so much you did a fantastic job of getting him here I love you very much we're so happy to have family and friends celebrating with us Dad look around you see how many people love you you're one of the most special fathers anyone could have ever asked for I couldn't have asked for a more special father in the world you're a friend you're a father that is unbelievable you've been so fantastic and I love you with all my heart um this evening and everyone around you shows you just how much and how wonderful person you are we're so happy to have everyone celebrating with us we love you and I'm sorry I keep saying how much I love him but he's just the best dad in the whole world and I could go on forever but everybody's hungry and has to eat so I'm gonna let my brother amuse you a little bit and thank you all of you for being here Dad we love you so much happy birthday oh very funny okay I don't have a whole lot to say but I'll be a little bit louder than my sister so you'll actually hear me um it was hard driving with him to work every morning because there were many times where I started to say things and I knew wait a minute don't say that because he's going to catch on I think it's pretty safe to say he was totally surprised by it and there's not much more I can say except that again Rachel and I appreciate everything you've done throughout our whole lives both you and Mom and we're looking forward to having a great night tonight eating relaxing and ending these speeches so that we can just have fun and drink and eat other than that have a great Happy Birthday and enjoy the evening I could get Raymond to come with me too okay all of you who know me best know that I'm never at a loss for words except oh these look awful here I'll try and do it this way okay except when I'm standing in a crowd like this and all eyes are upon me usually I get a very trembly voice and my Palms get kind of wet but somehow tonight I feel very comfortable because I know that I'm surrounded by a wonderful family and warm and loving friends I want to thank my beautiful children for honoring their father with such love bringing his family and his dearest friends together tonight I want to thank

my daughter-in-law Wendy for all her thoughtfulness that she put into this evening okay two Adam and Rachel are true Workaholics so Wendy was left holding the bag thank you very much Wendy now back to my children hey did I mess this up Bill and I are both very very proud of our children both of them are very successful in more ways than one they're wonderful to their family they're successful in their own right as people yes one is a director of a very large travel company the other one is an owner of a very large company and I'm sounding like a Jewish mother but I am and I am very proud that they turned out the way they did in spite of Billy and I my dad may he rest in peace always said to me Bevy shoot for the Moon the only thing that can happen is if you don't make it you'll end up in the Stars Billy you are my brightest star and I love you glasses do you need glasses yeah okay I first of all I want to thank everybody for coming and I'm really surprised to see everybody here like this because if everybody showed up to Affairs like I do I don't think there'd be anybody here so this is sort of a kick in the fanny to me and I'm just gonna have to smarten up a little bit but uh I want to thank everybody for coming and uh hey maybe I'm 75 I don't feel like it I feel like maybe 74. but um I want you all to have a uh a very good evening I want to thank Wendy Adam Rachel and my beautiful wife Beverly she told me to say that so I gotta say that no I really love my Beverly and thank you so much Beverly and uh hey let's just have a ball okay and thank you my advice would help today anyways I hope you enjoying a little bit um okay we had a great time well happy birthday again many more times there goes another one for bills physically out of the house you know happy birthday Bill you're looking good all the best friends happy birthday to you happy birthday dear Billy make a good wishes
