Pride Month 2025

Hello, I'm Jamal, a flight attendant supervisor based in Atlanta. Join me on my recent trip to Chicago. As soon as we landed, I was ready to do some exploring. I checked out the Andersonville neighborhood where I stumbled upon the cutest record store, Rattleback Record. As a music lover, I could not resist flipping through their huge selection, and of course, I picked up a few albums to take home. Right across the street, I found The Brown Elephant, a thrift store with everything from clothes and accessories to furniture. All that exploring worked up my appetite, so I stopped by Lady Gregory's Pub. Candace, the general manager, greeted me with a warm welcome. The food, incredible. I highly recommend the black and shrimp and crispy Haliba. To wrap up the day, I headed over to Nobody's Darling for Happy Hour. Their menu is full of creative cocktails, and I couldn't resist trying one with passion fruit and mint. The next morning, I had the privilege of visiting Center on Hallstead, an incredible organization dedicated to serving the LGBTQ plus community. Mitchell, their corporate relations officer, gave me a tour of some of their programs from health and wellness to employment and housing resources. I absolutely love the vibrant energy and incredible sense of community and pride that makes Chicago so special. Thanks for tagging along.
