Today I'm going to show you GitHub Copilot CLA. This thing just blew my mind. It reads your thoughts and writes commands for you. No more googling bash commands ever again. This is the future of coding and it's here right now. Look, I've been coding for years. And I hate the command line. There, I said it. All those weird flags and syntax rules. It's like learning a foreign language that nobody speaks. But what if I told you that's all about to change? What if you could just type what you want to do in plain English and have AI write the perfect command for you? That's exactly what GitHub Copilot CLI does and it's not some beta toy. This thing is production ready and it's going to save you hours every single day. Here's what blew my mind. Yesterday, I needed to find all files in my project that were changed in the last week. Normally, I'd spend 10 minutes googling the find command syntax. Instead, I just typed, "Show me files changed in last seven days. " And boom, perfect command. Ran it, got my results, moved on with my life. Hey, if we haven't met already, I'm the digital avatar of Julian Goldie, CEO of SEO agency Goldie Agency. Whilst he's helping clients get more leads and customers, I'm here to help you get the latest AI updates. Julian Goldie reads every comment, so make sure you comment below and let me know what you think. So, what exactly is GitHub Copilot CLI? Think of it as CH A T GPT, but for your terminal. It's the command line version of GitHub Copilot. You know, that AI that writes code for you in VS Code, but this time it's writing shell commands based on what you tell it to do. The regular GitHub Copilot helps you write code in your editor. Copilot CLI helps you run commands in your terminal. It's like having a senior DevOps engineer sitting next to you, ready to translate anything you want into the perfect command. When you install Copilot CLI, you get two new commands. The first one is gh copilot suggest. This is where the magic happens. You type what you want to do in plain English and it gives you the exact command you need. Let's say you want to compress all PDF files in a folder. Instead of googling tar syntax for the hundth time, you just type ghcopilot suggest compress all pdf files in this directory and it gives you the perfect tar command with all the right flags. The second command is guide copilot explain. This one takes any command and breaks it down for you. Ever see a crazy oneliner command and wonder what it does? Just paste it into copilot explain and get a plain English breakdown of every single part. This is huge for learning. Instead of just copying commands blindly, you actually understand what they do. It's like having a patient teacher explain every command to you. I've got something special for you. My AI profit boardroom is having a flash sale this month. You get 30% off plus free access to the SEO Elite Circle when you sign up. But this deal only lasts through September. So, you've got just a few days left. This isn't just another AI course. It's a complete system for scaling your business with AI automation. Now, let me tell you about the features that make this incredible. The natural language processing is amazing. You can be super casual with your requests, find big files, you kill that Python process, back up my database, or it understands all of it. The AI is smart enough to understand context, too. If you're in a G repo, it knows to suggest git commands. If you're in a directory full of images, it suggests image processing commands. It's not just matching keywords. It's actually understanding what you're trying to do. And here's where it gets really good. The error handling feature. We've all been there. You run a command and get some cryptic error message. With Copilot CLI, you can just describe the error and get suggestions on how to fix it. My Docker container won't start becomes a list of debugging commands. Permission denied on this file becomes the exact HHOD command you need. It's like having Google built into your terminal, but better because it knows your specific situation. The productivity boost is insane. I timed myself last week. Tasks that used to take me five to 10 minutes now take 30 seconds. And I'm not talking about simple stuff. Complex find commands with multiple conditions. Sade operations for text processing. All generated instantly. Installation is dead simple. First, you need a GitHub account with Copilot access. If you don't have Copilot yet, get it. It pays for itself in the first week. Next, install the GitHub CLI if you don't have it already. On Mac, it's brew install gh. On Ubuntu, it's pseudoapp install gh. Once you have the github cli, you just run gh extension install github/gh copilot. That's it. Then authenticate with ghorth login. The whole setup takes maybe 2 minutes. Let me show you how this works. When you ask for a command, copilot CLI sends your request to OpenAI's models. the same technology that powers chat GPT, but it's fine-tuned specifically for command line operations. For example, if you say list all files modified in the last 7 days, and it might suggest find-fime-ls, the AI looks at your request, your current directory, your operating system, and gives you the most

appropriate command. The benefits are massive. First, time savings. I'm not exaggerating when I say this saves me hours every week. No more context switching to lookup commands. No more trial and error with syntax. Second, learning acceleration. Every command comes with an explanation if you want it. You're not just copying commands blindly. You're actually understanding what each part does. Third, it's perfect for beginners. New developers can be productive with the command line from day one. No need to spend months memorizing commands. Just describe what you want to do and get the right command. But it's not just for beginners. Advanced users love it, too, because it handles the annoying edge cases. those complex oneliners that you know exist but can't remember the exact syntax for. Now, let's be honest about the limitations. You need an internet connection. The AI processing happens in the cloud, so offline work isn't possible, and the suggestions aren't always perfect. You should always review commands before running them. It's limited to environments where you can install the GitHub CLI, and it requires a C-pilot subscription, which is $10 per month, but for most developers, these limitations are minor compared to the benefits. Let me tell you about some real world use cases. The software development workflows are obvious. Need to find all Python files with a specific function. Need to update file permissions after a gitpool. All handled instantly. DevOps and system administration is where it gets really powerful. Server monitoring commands, log analysis, process management, all the complex commands that system administrators use daily can be generated on demand. Data analysis tasks are another sweet spot. Need to pass CSV files, extract data from JSo logs. The AI generates the perfect combination of tools like Oblak said, Grep and sort to get the job done. Here's a use case that surprised me. I've been using it for automation tasks. Instead of writing bash scripts from scratch, I describe what I want the script to do and get individual commands that I can combine. The future scope for this technology is exciting. I expect we'll see deeper integration with development tools. The context awareness will get smarter, too. The AI will remember your preferences and adapt to your coding style over time. Now you might be wondering about job security. Will AI replace system administrators and deevops engineers? I don't think so. What it's doing is eliminating the boring repetitive parts of the job. The syntax memorization, the documentation lookup. What's left is the interesting stuff. Architecture decisions, performance optimization, security considerations. The AI handles the tactical execution, but you still need human judgment for strategic decisions. Here's what I recommend if you want to get started. First, get comfortable with the basic features. Install Copilot CLI and start using it for simple tasks. Build the habit of asking AI instead of Googling. Second, experiment with complex scenarios. Try data processing tasks, system administration operations. Push the boundaries and see where the AI excels and where it struggles. Third, use the explain feature liberally. Don't just copy commands blindly. Understand what they do. This makes you a better developer. Now, let me address cost. Copilot CLI requires a GitHub Copilot subscription, which is $10 per month for individuals. Is it worth it? For me, absolutely. The time savings alone justify the cost. If this saves you even 1 hour per month, you're breaking even. Here's the bottom line. GitHub Copilot CLI represents a fundamental shift in how we interact with computers. We're moving from a world where you need to know the exact syntax to a world where you just need to know what you want to accomplish. This is the future of command line interfaces. While other developers are still memorizing flags and options, you can be generating perfect commands on demand. The developers using AI tools will be able to work faster, tackle more complex problems, and deliver better results. So, here's my challenge to you. Try GitHub Copilot CLI for one week. Use it for everything. I guarantee you won't want to go back. Now, if you want to take your AI game to the next level, I've got something special for you. My AI profit boardroom is having a flash sale this month. You get 30% off plus free access to the SEO Elite Circle when you sign up.
