Now, Claude recognizes that this is a suspicious security incident email that appears to be a fishing attempt and doesn't act on it. In their tests, 23. 6% of hacking attempts worked. That means almost one in four attacks would succeed. Anthropic didn't just ignore this problem. They built defenses, lots of them. They added permission controls. They blocked access to financial websites. They made Claude ask for permission before doing risky things. With all these protections, they cut the success rate down to 11. 2%.
