NEW Claude Sonnet 5 Update

Today we are going to be looking at the latest announcements around Claude 5 Sonic. Now a lot of people are saying this is going to drop very soon. You can see some interesting stats about it. So for example, if we look at this tweet from CAM Claude 5 Sonic drops next week. 1 million token context window, half the price of Opus 4. 5 and the best in class. Now, if it is if it does have a much bigger context window, that's going to help a lot because, for example, inside Claude, I don't know about you, but I'm constantly having to compress the conversation with the context window. So, that could be huge. Now, just to be clear here, these are based on rumors, but I do want to cover it because I'm getting so many questions about Quad Sonic. So, I want to show you what I've learned so far, what's being announced, what the rumors are, what we can potentially expect. Okay, so the release

timeline. So, it's rumored that Claude 5 Sonic will come out today, February the 3rd, 2026. The code name internally apparently is Fenck, right? And the source comes from a leaked Vertex AI error um showing the model ID Claude Sonnet 5, like you can see now the

rumored specifications. So, here's what we're potentially looking at. 50% cheaper than Opus 4. 5. Potentially half the price of Sonnet level um pricing, 1 million context window. Bear in mind it currently only has 200k context window faster processing and SWE bench scores of something like this right now. Again, these are just rumors, but I do want to check them out. So, let's see

what else we got here. These are some of the benchmarks that have been leaked as well. So, apparently according to this, you know, for example, if we look at this chart, you can see that we've got Sonic 4. We've got Sonic 5, Opus 4. 5, Sonic 4. 5. Someone could have just like made this up, right? You got to be careful with this stuff, right? But I just want to see you uh show you what's being like leaked and that sort of thing at the minute, what people are talking about, etc. Right? So you can see here for example that Sonic 5 is expected to outperform Opus 4. 5 on SWE benchmarks. Massively outperform Sonic 4. 5. Opus 4. 1 is not even in the race. And then you've got the benchmarks from Gemini 3 Pro, 5. 2 Codeex, and Gemini GPT 5. 2, right? So Sonic 5 is expected to outperform all of them basically. You can see some of the leaks as well. So this is a tweet from AOS Sharma and it's got the code name Fenck, right? So leaked internal code name for Quonic 5 is reportedly one full generation ahead of Gemini's code name Snow Bunny. This is a tweet from Pangajkuma. Um imminent release pointing to February the 3rd, 2026 release window. Right. So that's based on the Vert. Ex AI error log which lists Claude Sonic 5 um and points to this window in terms of release. Now if it gets a 1 million context window that's going to be right up there with Gemini uh Gemini 3 Pro as well, which would be awesome. What else we got here? I have too much problems to upgrade from Clawbot to OpenClaw. That's fair enough. I think OpenClaw breaks a lot. That's why I've shown Mimi bot cuz so far it's not broken on me at all, which is awesome. Do you have an email to send you some details? So if you're struggling, you could potentially use that as a skill. But always check the skill first before you install it. Always check the stuff. You can run the skill MD file through Claude itself and then ask it to give you the lowdown first. Now also the

other thing that's been rumored is dev team mode. So you can launch like specialized agents. Agents work autonomously and this would transform like a solo developer into having a full-time team. And you can see the historical context here as well. So Sonic 3. 5 came out in June 2024, 3. 7 Feb 2025, 4 May 2025, September released 4. 5 September and then this is rumored is that Feb 2026 Sonic 5 is coming out and it will outperform Opus. If it outperforms Opus, it's going to be insane because it's way better. I mean Opus is already the best API in the world. So it's going to be pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to checking this stuff out. So that's basically it on my loadown. That's everything that I can find realistically about Claude Sonic 5. A lot of people asking me. Enzo says, "Is open claw safe? " I would say just be really careful about installing this stuff. If you're already worried, is it safe or not? Then don't install it, right? Like I install this stuff as like tests and for fun and that sort of thing. But if you're not sure, don't install anything that you're not sure about, right? So if you if you're already asking is if don't install it. That would be my advice. You can get a full guide inside the air profer. Malt worker is potentially a safer way of installing this cuz you can install OpenC on Cloudflare and it runs in a siloed um environment. Plus, you have to approve any login before people use it. So, that might be one of the best ways to use it.
