I walk through how I use Google AI across its full ecosystem, not just Gemini. Most people only see the chat, but Google has AI built into research, content creation, automation, and everyday tools like Search, Gmail, Docs, and Sheets.
I show real examples of using Gemini to work with files, understand videos, and build small tools that save time. I also cover Google’s image and video models, research tools like Deep Research and NotebookLM, and more advanced building in AI Studio.
This helps me see how all of Google AI fits together, from simple everyday tasks to more powerful workflows, so it’s easier to decide what’s actually useful.

Introduction to Google AI
Google has been building one of the biggest AI ecosystems out there in the last few years and is quickly becoming the number one company in the AI space. And most people when they think of Google AI, they mainly think of Google Gemini, the AI chatbot from Google. But there's a whole lot more going on with Google when it comes to AI. They have their hands in everything. They have AI tools that completely change research with things like Notebook LM. They have AI models that could generate nearperfect images and video. They have apps that automate real work. And they put AI directly inside of the tools we use all the time like Google search, Gmail, Google Docs and a lot more. So in this one video, I wanted to show you every major Google AI capability and platform so you could see it all in one place and you see real examples and then you could figure out what's worth your time. Now the easiest way to think of Google AI is actually in layers. So, I broke this video down to five different parts. The first one is going to be inside of Google Gemini, but I want to focus in some things that go beyond just chatting with Google Gemini. I'm going to show you some things like creating little mini apps, working with your own files, and some things called custom gems inside of Gemini. The second pillar is all about creating content with AI. And Google has one of the very best AI image models that could also edit images. And they also have one of the very best AI video models. So, we're going to look at both of those two. The third pillar is all about research. Google has made it incredibly easy to use AI to do research. They have a very robust deep research tool built into Gemini and some other apps. And then they have an entire platform called Notebook LM that we're going to look at. One of the most viral products in the world of AI. The fourth pillar is all about building and automating. This is going to be on the advanced side, but with Google, you could actually create entire apps. They have different platforms that allow you to do that from basic ones to more advanced ones. They have things for automation and creating workflows with AI and they have platforms that use AI agents to actually connect different tools and get real jobs done for you. And in our final pillar, we're going to look at AI everywhere because Google is baking their AI product into everything including Google search, including Gmail with some new option they recently released into Gmail into Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Meets. So, I'm going to show you where the Google AI is useful in a lot of the apps you probably
Gemini and everyday AI
use every single day. Now, for the very first pillar here, let's jump into Google Gemini. Now, if you're not familiar with Google Gemini, this is the AI chatbot from Google. As I'm recording this right now, is powered by a large language model called Gemini 3, which is one of the best, if not the best AI model available today. And they have one called Gemini 3 Pro 2 that you could also get access to even with the free accounts. I'm using my pro account here which is $20 a month. It unlocks a few different things especially more usage out of Google Gemini. Now Google Gemini launched after the release of Chat GPT to compete with Chat GPT but is quickly gaining on Chat GPT and is quickly becoming one of the go-to AI tools that most people use for their everyday chatbot. So, I want to show you a few different things inside of Google Gemini beyond just chatting with Google Gemini. At this point, most people are used to talking to chat GPT or Google Gemini or any other AI chatbot where you type in a text prompt here and it'll give you a reply. But if you press the plus sign, this is where Google Gemini really stands out. So, you could upload files and ask questions from, let's say, a PDF or a spreadsheet, even analyzing images and things like that. But you could also bring things in directly from your Google Drive. This is what makes Google Gemini and a lot of these AI tools really useful because if you use Gmail or Google Drive, well, they are owned by the same company. So, it's a really nice and clean way to bring things in from Google Drive. And you also have access to all these different tools like deep research, which we're going to look at, creating videos and images, and they also have Canvas and guided learning. So, the very first thing I wanted to show you here that's a little bit unique is with this Canvas option. Canvas turns Google Gemini into something completely different. It will write differently for you. It'll be able to create different apps and even different websites for you. So, let me give it a simple prompt here to get us started. So, I'm going to say create an app where I could compare the top 50 AI tools and see what's most relevant for my business and make it relevant to education in this case. And then you have this other option which is really useful. So, Google Gemini, one of the best models that they have is called a thinking model. So, it will take time to think before answering you quickly. The fast model will answer you quickly when you're in a rush. You just want an answer very quickly. And the pro model will think even longer. This is part of their paid plan, but sometimes they do give you access to this one with the free Gemini 2. So, I'll choose this one. When combining the pro version with Canvas, you're going to get some really interesting result. Let me show you what this gives you. Okay. Now, in a couple minutes, it's created this entire dashboard for us with all the top AI tools. And I went through this already and these are the tools I would have picked myself if I created this dashboard. A lot of them are exactly what I would use especially designed for education too. So you have some of the top tools and it's letting me select a couple of different tools, compare the tools over here and it's putting the pros and cons here side by side. And I could always follow up here but one of my favorite options is this one right here. It says add Gemini feature. If I click on this, it will just decide how to improve this app for you without you figuring out what prompt to type here or what features you should request. So, it looks like it's adding a dedicated chat interface to the sidebar where I could describe a challenge and then use AI to get responses. This will also be an AI powered app that way because they will use Gemini here to respond to me. And this is already changing the code. If you for some reason wanted to see the code, you could see the code over here. You could see it in real time writing code without you ever knowing how to write code or ever looking at the code. Now, another huge benefit with this is they're actually sharable. So, if you press the share option and click right here, this will create a link for you that you could send to anyone. So, if you want to solve a problem, you build a little app for yourself, but also maybe for your team and they could use it directly with this link right here. Now, the next thing I wanted to show you inside of Gemini is something called gems that are very, very useful. Now, gems are basically a little mini app that do something similar to what I just showed you, but a little bit more customized. So, if I create a new gem over here, gems actually could save you a lot of time doing something that you do all the time. So, for example, I make YouTube videos. I have to come up with YouTube titles all the time. I could name this one YouTube title generator. This is the description. And then give it a very specific set of instructions. This also tells you exactly how to write these type of instructions. I've also made different videos all about Google gems here. And when you type in your prompt, you could also click this. This will rewrite the instructions. So you could write something really simple, one sentence, and then Google Gemini with these gems will give you a much more elaborate instruction here. You could also add an entire knowledge base. So these gems have these two big pillars to them. a set of instructions they'll follow and a knowledge base where they could pull in information from a PDF for example. So let's say just from the top of my head for this video I came up with this title. Every Google AI tool explained well if I send this out the instructions told it to go create five better titles for me and I got five different title variation. I tested every Google AI tool so you don't have to. Seven hidden Google AI tools you didn't know existed. The ultimate guide to Google AI in 2026, right? All pretty good titles. Now I just have to save it and this sits on my account now. Anytime I could start a chat here now and create titles just like that. Come up with one, it will give me five great ones. Now they also had this other update called personal intelligence where all these years of using Gemini I think might be the best update they ever released. This allows Gemini to use any past conversations which they've had for a while. This makes the AI more intelligent specifically for you. You could also connect it to different apps and you could also give it a set of instruction at the account level. So the apps is what really makes it personal. So I'll show you this in a second. The system instruction is similar to what we did for gems, but this will do it for the account level. So you could just add that here and say this is a good example. I prefer short, concise responses. Anything you want to type out, you could type out here. You could even ask Gemini to help you come up with this set of instruction. And then connected apps. What this allows you to do is because all these products are owned by Google, you could let it look into your Gmail, your calendar, your Google Drive, your search, even your YouTube history. All these things could be added and that will help personalize this experience. This is personalized insights from your actual apps. So that's a brief look at Google Gemini. Obviously, there's a lot to go through in Google Gemini. I have made a dedicated video on YouTube all about Google Gemini. So I'll save that for another time. Now let's move on to our
Creating content
next pillar, pillar two, which is all about creating content and that images and videos. And Google really shines there. It's one of the top companies when it comes to AI image and video creation. They have a model called Nano Banana and they have another paid one called Nanobanana Pro which allow you to create images from a text prompt but also allow you to alter those images with a text prompt and I use them for a lot of practical things. Nano Banana for example we use it to make lot of things for our website for social media. Even half our thumbnails right now are created using that model. And then you have Veo, which will create some of the very best AI generated videos right now with really strong cinematic motion quality to them and really good consistency across characters, too. Inside of Google Gemini, you will see this option right here, create image. This will use Nano Banana to generate images for you. And if you have a paid version, you'll also see this option called create videos with Veo 3. 1, which is the latest version of Veo right now. Now, let me actually demo Google's image and video models for you. And I'm going to show you inside of another platform where both of those are available, a platform called Art List, the sponsor of today's video. So, when I move from testing an idea to actually producing something that I'm going to put out into the world, I want everything in one place. So images, videos, even voice. I don't want to jump between different tools, lose track of my generation, and I want to be able to use the very best models, not just use one or two AI models. So this is where Art List is useful for me. Art List AI toolkit is an organized workspace built for creators. Now, here you could generate images with the best Google models and other models that I'll show you as well. and you could generate videos and they have an option for generating voice over too all in the same surface and everything stays organized here in one workflow. Now when it comes to creating things I usually like to start with an image model. So I just choose an image model down here. And here's the nice part about art list. So you saw that I had access to Nano Banana inside of Gemini. Here I have access to Nano Banana. I also have access to Nanobanana Pro. But all the top AI image models all in one place. Yes, Google does have a couple of really good AI models for image, but sometimes it's not the very best one. So if you can use things from OpenAI, this GPT image model or Flux for example is one of my other all-time favorite models. Edoggram is a great model. Well, the fact that I could use all of them here in one place and actually see results from every single one makes a big difference. So let's take this prompt for example and I'll use Nanoban Pro. It lets you change your aspect ratio. So in this case I want this to be 16 by9. It lets you pick even higher resolutions here and you could generate multiple different images at the same time. Now while that's generating well I could choose a different image model here. This time let's choose Flux 2 Pro which I also like. Same exact prompt, same exact aspect ratio. I'll bump the resolution here to 2K and let's get a couple images from Flux. And I could do this multiple times and then I'll be able to look at all of them at the same time. Okay. So I could click on this one. This is created with Nano Banana Pro. And then side by side I could see this one here which was created with our other prompt with Flux 2. 0 Pro. And then it makes it a lot easier to compare and then move on to the video generation from here. The other thing I wanted to show you here is Art List actually has just released their own original model. This model here, Art List original 1. 0, is trained on real professional footage from their own catalog. Art list has been around for quite a long time. I've been licensing cinematic footage for my video production company from them for well over 5 years at this point, which is why the results feel really grounded. So, let me generate that exact same image here using that model. So you could see the lighting looks natural, the motion blur looks really natural, the depth here makes sense, and the colors just overall feel a little more intentional here. And you could direct this to follow all kinds of specific things if you come from this world. So real lenses, real camera bodies, real film styles here. And it feels cinematic and professional. So again, I come from that commercial world of film making. So this really aligns with some of those instructions that it follows when it comes to the prompt. And then when it comes to video, veil obviously being one of the best AI tools, usually my workflow is I generate images and then I turn those images into a video. So I got a really nice starting point to do that. You could just click right here and it'll fill out this prompt. But it changed me from generating an image to the video. And I have again all the top video models available. Since this is a Google video, I'll show you Veo 3. 1 here. They also have another one called Veo 3. 1 fast, which generates a little bit faster and it takes a little bit less credit here. But if you wanted to use the top models from OpenAI, that's Sora. You could use those. Cling is also a really good model. You could see they have a variety of different Cling models. This one, Cling01 Pro, is one of the best available AI models. That way, you know you're getting the very best possible clip, right? You don't have to rely on just one AI model here. You could choose and depending on what tool you use, Veo actually allows you to create different aspect ratios, vertical or horizontal. You could go all the way up to 8 seconds here with it. And it has audio built in. So it'll create sometimes music, artifacts, and even voice if you have characters in your video. And you could do up to 4K. You could also do negative prompt, which allows you to type things you don't want to see. But since I already generated the image, I was happy with it. Typically, you get your image, your starting image, exactly what you want, and then you have it generate the video. So, obviously, Art List was a perfect fit for this video because it was a nice place for me to be able to show you the top AI video and image models from Google all in one place for this video. If you want to try it out for yourself, I'll put a link in the description to
Understanding and research
our list below this video. Now, let's jump into the third pillar, which is research. And this is where Google AI definitely outshines every single competitor and it's because of two different things they have. One is called deep research inside of Gemini. And the other one is a dedicated app called Notebook LM that I wanted to show you. So, inside of Gemini, if you click the tool option, you'll see deep research. Now, this is an AI agent that will take care of a lot of the research for you automatically. And one of the best parts with that is you could upload files to use, but again, because we are here, we could have search turned on, which is on by default, but I could always pull things from my Gmail, my Google Drive, which has all my Google Docs maybe about the specific topic stored in there, and even Google chat. So, you turn on all these different sources. Now, as you could see, this goes and does a lot of the research for you, including pulling things from your own workspace and all these different website that is going to go through and it's going to take its time. It's going to gather all this information and then it's going to give us a really nice structure summary, which I'll show you here as soon as it's done. And in about 12 minutes, it created a very comprehensive report here. And I've read through a lot of these research using this deep research tool. They're actually really, really good. And it has a couple of really useful options right on top. So, it lets you turn this into a web page, infographic, quiz, flashcard, and even an audio overview, which is an AI podcast between two AI hosts. I'll show you this web page option right now. And this is the website that it created in a few minutes from that deep research. This is one of my favorite all-time ways to consume information. And you could also download it here as a PDF. And that brings me to Notebook LM, which is probably one of the top five all-time favorite AI apps that I've ever used, and it completely changes how I do research and organize any topic that I'm looking into. Now, this is also available for free, and they have another paid version again with a pro account where you could unlock some features here. Now, Notebook LM is basically a set of different notebooks, each one on a very specific topic. But instead of using a chatbot like Gemini, this notebook LM will be grounded on the sources that you give it. And with a free account, you could do 50 different sources of all kinds as your notebook or up to 300 if you have the paid version. And it also allows you to discover sources over here, too. So, this does have web search and it could do a quick research mode, which is a little bit different, but if you wanted to do deep research, which I just showed you, that's available in Notebook LM2. Now, I've been teaching Notebook LM for a while, so I actually have a notebook all about Notebook LM. So, everything about Notebook LM, including things from our courses and anything I've created on YouTube, are all part of these sources. And at any time I could always add more sources by just dragging and dropping them here or discover new sources. And a few different things Notebook LM allows you to do is one you could chat with all your sources and it will ground the answer that way. Right? So if I click on one of these options that is telling me how does Google LM leverage source grounding to minimize hallucination. Right? This is a big problem in the world of AI where AI makes up answers. This tries to limit that by using your own sources. Now, that's not going to make hallucination completely disappear, but that will significantly reduce it over here. The nice thing is when it's giving you an answer, too, you could see exactly where he pulled that information from. So, you could just double check. Click that. It will pull in that resource and it will highlight exactly where it got that information from. The other useful parts is all these different things inside of AI studio they have which are things like AI overview, video overview. You could create mind maps, reports, all kinds of different things. One of my favorite options is this one called infographics. So if you click this, it will generate an infographics again from all your sources that you have on the left side. And in a few minutes, it created this nice graphic I could share on my LinkedIn or any social media platform here that shows the power of notebook, which is what this notebook was all about. It also generates these things called video overview. So it turns your entire set of sources into a explainer video that is really easy to share and to consume the information here. And it could cover slide decks, all kinds of different things. We have an entire course on Notebook LM on Skillap and I also have a video here that dives into everything Notebook LM has to offer on YouTube as well, a crash course here on YouTube that you could
Building and automating
check out after this video. Now, let's get to pillar four. That's for building and automating using AI. And Google has a lot of different apps and products out there for that. So, one of the first ones I wanted to show you here is called Google AI Studio. Now, Google AI Studio will turn a simple prompt here into a really good functioning app. Okay, so just to show you an example of a recent one I built here. So, this is one of the apps I built which turns any business idea into a really comprehensive business plan here. Entire things for branding. Gives you a task list here like a to-do list for your business from ideal to launch. Includes a content generator here to create content for social media. And this was just off my very first prompt. And then you could just in plain English, tell it what you want changed and it will make alterations for you. So a much more advanced version of what I showed you in the beginning of the video on what you could do with Gemini with little apps. This basically lets you create full stack apps here inside of AI Studio. And they have an entire app gallery here. So if you wanted to get ideas on what is possible, what other people are creating, these are available here to look at. Now, this is a newer tool from Google that's all about using AI agents to create things for you. So, this will actually create onbrand content for your business, any type of marketing asset. For example, Pomei, you could basically type in any text prompt and this will generate some ideas. But before you do that, it's going to ask for any type of brand guideline and it will understand what your brand colors are, what your fonts are at the account level. So, when it generates things, it will be on brand every single time. And in about 30 seconds, it created this campaign for us based on our courses here. And it's very much in line with our branding. It's the fonts that I told it I like to use. And you could animate these two and bring these to life. So you could post it on social platforms that will require that kind of video. And the way it does that is you basically give it your business DNA. So you're going to give it your website here, your logo, your fonts, any type of colors you use. And these are the images that I wanted to pull from every time I created it because I'm using this for our ads here for future PDF. So I give it Kevin and I's head shot, some screenshots here and our course catalog. And then it will use this every single time it generates marketing assets for things we run on Facebook ads for example. Now they also have another tool that is more for automation. It's an AI agents that connects different things. This is called Opal. So I'll show you an example. They have an entire gallery of different things that are possible, but I'll show you this one here. This blog post writer. Basically, if you've ever done any kind of automation, some of the popular tools for that are with platforms like make or zapier or NHN. This is a competitor to those. So, it will create these workflows where it does multiple different things in order of how this is set up. So in this case it will get topics it will do the research it will write the outline it will create the image it will then write the post here and it will create a ready to publish blog post for you. So I'll start with my own version of it. So let's say I want to learn about generative AI in healthcare. All I had to do is type that topic over here and it's going to go to work from this point forward. It's going to go through all the steps. Okay. And in about 60 seconds, it created this nice formatted blog post for us. And you could see this looks a lot nicer than anything else you create with any other chatbot because it's designed to do this specific task really, really well here. And you could download and share this file. And the really nice thing about Opal is instead of the more complicated and more elaborate automation tools, this one uses a chat box here. So you could explain in plain language what you want and it will make the changes for you. So you don't have to really know how to connect these things using drag and drop. And they have a website called labs. google which I check on all the time because they roll out things that are in experimental mode here first. These are all the different apps in different categories that are available here for you to test out here inside of
AI everywhere
Google Labs right now. Now for the last piece of this, I want to show you how Google is baking their AI directly into the tools we already use every single day, right? And this part is pretty much built in. We don't actually have to learn a new product. These are products we already use like search and email. So for example, when you go to google. com, they have something called AI mode. And this is an entirely different experience than using Google search. So, if I was doing some research comparing mattresses, I'm actually in the market for a mattress. This will do an entirely different type of search, it will give you a table here. And as you could see, even though you have links to go to places, you got the answer right over here. So, a much more AI native experience than a typical search on Google. Now, if you use Gmail to send out your emails, well, this makes it really easy to draft an email. They have an option here. This uses Gemini to help you write. And it turns a single text prompt like this into an email here in draft mode. I could make any alterations to it. I could always refine it here to formalize it, make it shorter or longer. And I could always click one button here to recreate it and it writes a brand new email for me. But because it's inside of Gmail, if I'm happy with it, I just insert it here. And you'll also notice this icon right over here. So this gives you the power of Gemini right inside of Gmail. So it will allow you to interact with your entire email inbox using Gemini and this helps you summarize any type of email thread. It helps you draft the replies that I showed you. It lets you reference anything inside of Google Drive directly in this interface here. Now inside of Google Docs, you could also get help with writing here. You could also generate entire documents here. And this generates really nicely formatted documents like this one from a simple text prompt over here inside of Google Drive too at drive. google. com. You also could ask Gemini anything about any of your files without having to leave your Google Drive. Now even inside of Google Meet here, let me turn off this behind thescenes camera. You could actually use AI here too. So you could generate a background here just by typing in a text prompt. And just like that is created multiple different options for our background that we could use in our virtual meetings too. So if you zoom out, Google's AI stack covers a lot of ground. Everyday use in Gemini content creation with the top AI models in both image and video research for understanding what's going on with your documents with things like notebook LM advanced building tools inside of AI studio things with Opel that I showed you where you could really take automations to the next level. Search has completely changed now. entirely new Gemini capability inside of tools you use every day from Gmail to Google Drive to Google Sheets. And obviously, you don't have to use all of them. A lot of them are just going to come natural to you because they're going to be built in and really easy to use in apps you use every single day. Search is probably going to completely change in the next few years and we're no longer going to do typical Google searches like we still do right now. But some of them you'll probably have to go and learn like things that you could do inside of Gemini that are a little bit hidden but make your life a lot easier like building custom gems for example or building entire apps inside of AI studio. Now we also have an entire education platform where we cover things in far more depth and in much more linear order including learning paths where we show you what course to watch in linear order. So if you're really trying to dive into AI we have entire courses on things like notebook LM. I have an entire course on Google Gemini for example and we have six instructors teaching some of the top AI tools and we release one or two courses every single month and we do our best to keep the course updated too. So some of our courses at this point have gone through five or six revisions. So we try to keep the library really fresh and really comprehensive at the same time. And we have a 7-day free trial for that I'll link in the description that unlocks everything for you. So you can see if it's a good fit and then stick around, interact with our community, download our resources, and everything else we roll out for our members every single month. And if you want to dive deeper into one of my favorite tools that I covered in this video, which is Notebook LM, I did cover that in far more detail in this video that I recommend you watch
