Google Just Released Gemini Advanced - Powered by Gemini Ultra 1.0

Google just released three major updates to their AI chatbot Google bard so the first one is Google bard is completely gone now and rebranded to Google Gemini so if you go to b. google. r you to gemini. com and basically everything within that is the same the only reason they rebranded it is Google bard was powered by an AI model in the background called Gemini Pro so they used the Gemini name now so the whole thing is just called Google Gemini powered by Gemini Pro that's the one big update here now the second big update is they released a whole new plan called Gemini Advanced now this one is a subscription platform and this one gives you access to an entire new AI model called Ultra 1. 0 so they had talked about this a few months ago when they released the first Gemini when everybody got access to Gemini Pro inside a Bard and they mentioned Google Ultra and I kind of had the feeling that was going to be a upgraded subscription plan and it's $20 a month very similar to every other chatbot chat GPT Claude co-pilot Pro those are all $20 a month so they followed suit the only thing is this gives you a little bit more than access to the Google advanced chatbot and here's a little bit confusing part of it if you want this you have to upgrade to Google one or if you already have a Google one plan you have to upgrade that plan so what's Google one well Google one was a plan they've had for basically more storage so with the highest plan they have you get two terabytes of storage so if you already have a Google one plan the highest version of that is $10 a month so if you upgrade from that to this it's only $10 more dollar for a total of $20 I don't know why they're blending so many different things but I mentioned maybe four or five different brand names just in this video in the first minute right so it's a little bit confusing but basically we have Gemini that is now the old Google bard we have Gemini Advanced which is something that you could get with a Google one plusus subscription and that gives you access to ultra 1. 0 which is really the background AI model now let me walk you through a few of the different things then I'll upgrade my account to the advanced model to show you exactly what that does so Gemini Advance gives us access to ultra right that's the main reason you may want to upgrade Ultra is supposed to be the most advanced AI model for a large language model or chatbot so it's supposed to per outperform gp24 we'll find out if that's the case and this gives you access to all the Google's latest AI advancement so they're going to roll out to ultra according to this note here and then they'll roll out to the regular Gemini right and then it says they're going to have expanded multimodal capabilities better coding better reasoning deep file analysis these are coming out so some of these are not there yet and it says it's available over 150 countries so you can see the different countries here now here's another benefit again not available at this very moment on the release day of this but this is going to come out to Gmail docs and more so right now if you use something called Duet AI another thing from Google which basically puts this large language model capabilities inside of Gmail and docs and things like that is also going away so there's no more do it AI it's just going to be called Gemini inside of these different apps these are all the different apps that we're used to Sheets I'm sure it's going to get it Google slid so all the Google workspace type apps are going to get it right now and another thing I noticed is if I want to upgrade to Google advance I have to be on a personal Google account if I'm in my workspace accounts it's not available for that so this Google one plan is only available to your personal Google accounts right now before I show you Gemini Advance they also have a third update which is a brand new app for your phone except it's only available on Android at the moment it's a dedicated app and it's a brand new app called Gemini I'll cover that in a different video and in iOS they said they have the Gemini capabilities inside of the regular old Google app which I already have on my iPhone so I could test that out as well okay now if you go to gemini. com up top here you have Gemini and you have Gemini advance so if you want to upgrade and I'm going to compare the two in a second but this one's powered by the large language model Gemini Pro this one is going to be powered by Ultra 1. 0 so if you press upgrade it brings you to this page that I've shown you here among on a personal Google Gmail accounts here and I could go ahead and press upgrade so as I mentioned this also gives you 2

tabt of storage if you don't have a Google one plan and as I'm recording this video they are actually giving you two months for free I don't have a Google One account at all so I'm getting Google one AI premium it's going to give me access to all the Google one things as well in this account it's not an upgrade because I don't have it so I'm going to pay the full $20 here if you already have it again you pay the difference go ahead and subscribe and it's going to bring me back to this page the only difference is now I'm on this tab so you can switch between the two just like you could inside of chat GPT you could go to GPT 3. 5 GPT 4 you could switch between the two if you decide to use a different model same thing here if you want to use Gemini which is powered by Gemini Pro or Gemini Ultra which is obviously what I just paid for so I'm going to go ahead and use that here right now it's not available instead of docs and Gmail and things like that so I can't show you that but obviously as soon as it's available I will make a dedicated video about that and let me just take this for a quick spin here so I'm going to use Gemini Advanced and I'll give the same thing to the regular Gemini to see what we get and with this prompt basically I'm trying to get different marketing angles for the e-learning platform we have Skil leap Ai and without knowing anything about it doesn't have any context about what Skil leap AI is I just said the name but he basically gave me things that are very relevant just from the name and even the target audience breakdown is pretty good A Very complete answer I think as far as the bowler points go and then I fed the same thing to the regular Gemini here on a different account and this one says unfortunately exact same prompt by the way but unfortunately I need more information so it didn't even try to take a crack at it he did ask me good follow-up questions that kind of make sense to fill in the gaps I did this about five different times and I noticed this other Advanced model did its best every single time and didn't give me an unfortunately or I can't do this kind of an answer that I was really a lot of times frustrated when I was using Bard before and I'm going to do a very deep di video after this to kind of compare the two Gemini models versus also the chat GPT model GPT 4 to see how it all Compares and if you haven't checked out our e-learning platform Skil leap AI I will be making a dedicated Gemini Advanced course there especially when they start to roll out inside of Gmail and docs and things like that with all kinds of prompting techniques I think we have 21 courses right now complete courses and we don't sell them individually right now it's just a subscription one flat fee you get access to all of them and all the new ones and we release two to three courses every single month usually so I'll link this below if you want to learn more about that and we be offer stay tuned for the Gemini Advanced deep di video and I'll see you then
