How to Use Khan Academy Mobile App

hi everyone in today's Apple today I wanted to show you this app called Khan Academy if you've never heard of Khan Academy it's been around for I believe almost a decade in the website format so Khan Academy com where they give you a lot of different courses on different subjects like math and science completely for free it's a not-for-profit it's been around for quite some time it's backed by Bill Gates very useful at the website is definitely one of my favorite top ten websites of all time so I'm really excited to show you that if it's your first time here I make these kind of app of the day videos multiple times that week on this channel so please subscribe so you don't miss the next app review so let's go to the app store and again look for Khan Academy Khen Academy and downloaded and let me open the app and show you around I show you some of my favorite things about that so it does require you to sign in if you want to keep track of your progress you could browse you could even watch some of the courses but it's not gonna keep track of your progress and give you some of those rewards so I really recommend that you sign up first then I could show you around the app so let me go ahead and sign up and you could use again Google Facebook or email to sign up and again is hundred percent free this is not one of those things where it shows you some things for free and then after a little while you ask you to get a paid upgrade so let me just sign up with my Facebook here and I'll be right back and after you sign in you're probably gonna get an empty page here without any energy points or badges

but you will get these rewards these visual rewards and it's kind of a cool incentive to kind of keep you going with having this visual energy point and so on but that's not the profile tab let's look on the bottom of this menu here and I'll start on the homepage and I'll show you exactly how this works so if you go down to the Browse section this is

really the best place to get started so you see all these different subjects that this app offers again these are also available on Khan Academy calm outside of the app but let's say I wanted to learn something related to math here I could select a math tab and

you could see that it has everything from all the way back from early math to kindergarten and all the way to advanced stuff like calculus for example I'll just go ahead and choose something maybe in algebra 1 and then you could kind of get a big-picture overview of all the topics that this will cover and you'll walk you through a very clear order of things so module 1 module 2 and in each module there is lessons and this is kind of the layout with every single course that you go through so let me jump into module 1 and I could basically press play here and learn in this order and there's some worksheets and other things here as well so if I press play here it's simply gonna open a video here and the video is just like watching something on YouTube very straightforward you could go ahead to full screen you could speed it up here to 2 times speed really straightforward here and then you could see what's up next underneath and what I also find useful is this transcript

every video has a transcript right underneath it so you could follow along as you press play you will go through the transcript here every few seconds so that's very useful let me go back to the home page and if you jump into any other category the same kind of thing applies basically the layout is the same I could always bookmark things too I like that option we book Marquette and come back to it later and it's gonna be added to my bookmark on the bottom so let's explore the rest of the app here on the bottom so if I go to the search option I could search for anything I want so if I wanted to learn something related to business here I'll go ahead and search for that and here you could see bunch of different videos laid down related to business you can press filter here and again just apply it to a certain category I usually do like to use the home section here and just browse through this category section instead of using search what's that that's definitely usable but the search the category option actually lets you walk through things in sequence and I like that more rather than finding individual video using search then you

have bookmarks so if you come under the bookmarks section you see the thing I bookmark earlier is gonna show up here you have some download settings you could actually download things I'm you offline or over Wi-Fi and finally the profile tab that I showed you here where you could change your setting and you could continue to get different badges here as you learn more about different topics and one more thing I'll show you if you press surprise on the recent lessons here it will jump into a sex to a lesson automatically and he will just kind of show you something not in the order that you were going so it's kind of cool if you're not sure where to start or you just want to be surprised and learn something quick that's also an option here that's pretty much the overview of Khan Academy I think you're gonna really benefit from that again everything is completely free so I'm gonna give this app a solid five out of five definitely one of my favorite businesses and the app layout is so clean are so simple to use with the transcripts with the bookmarks a simple lower bottom menu with home search bookmark and profile really easy I hope you found this useful please give this a thumbs up and I'll see you on the next app of the day video thanks so much for watching this one
