Finding gold in dirt

Alright so I got this. Okay... It's the gold paydirt that I got off the internet last time. The one that we... shot with the XRF, and it told us that there was like maybe no gold in it? Yeah. Yeah that one Anyways, there were a lot of comments saying that we would have a better chance of finding gold, if we just panned it instead. Huh. So I also got this. A gold panner. Oh, yeah. I can already tell there's gold in there. I'm hoping there is. Okay, so just wet it. Then... Am I doing it? Am I panning for gold? I think it's something like that. Maybe I'm supposed to be deeper in the water? You know. It's supposed to be just like a fine sand. - Look! It's gold! - Wait, hold on. I think. That is a lot of gold if that's gold. - Let's keep going. - That's an insane amount of gold. It looks like we got some gold. Dude... That is in fact, way more gold than I could have ever imagined we would get. - Did you set this up? - No, I didn't! I'm serious. I didn't. That's crazy. We should weigh it. That's like... If that's a gram, that's insane. Let's see. - Ahhhhh. - Okay. Ok so we got like 0. 325g. Okay, so I could be wrong, but I looked it up. And right now, gold is about $145 US a gram. And that means that this is about $47 worth. I mean, that's pretty good. It is good. - That's pretty good. - It's way better than... I mean, it's way better than I could have imagined. But also, how much did you pay for this pay dirt? It was less than $100. I think it was around $80. And how much was the gold panning set up? That was like, $20 on Amazon Ok so we're only down like around $50 at least or something. Yeah, but we had fun along the way. That's what matters. That's truly what matters. Honestly, it was fun.
