They are the files everyone’s desperate to see. Buried in them are the names of the world’s most powerful people - CEOs, politicians and Hollywood elite. But one name shook an entire monarchy, leaving everyone asking… could this spell the end of a British institution? I’m Josh, and on today’s episode of The Infographics Show, we’ll expose how the Epstein files destroyed a Royal. In October 2025, under mounting pressure over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew announced he was giving up his royal titles and honors. He claimed it was to avoid distracting from the work of the Royal Family. But any hopes he had that his troubles were over… didn’t last long Less than a fortnight later, King Charles announced that Andrew would lose all his remaining royal honors - including the title of Prince, which he’d held since birth. From now on, he’d be Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. He was also ordered to give up the lease on the Windsor mansion he’d called home for over 2 decades. On February 2nd, 2026, the U. S. government released another 3 million documents. It was the largest batch yet released… and the ex-Prince again featured heavily. Emails revealed that Andrew invited Epstein to Buckingham Palace in September 2010. Another message, sent in February 2011, showed him reassuring the convicted sex offender, writing ‘We are in this together’ and ‘we’ll play some more. ’ That was after he’d publicly claimed he’d cut off contact in December 2010 Then came the images - Andrew kneeling over a young woman on the floor - sparking even more questions about what was really going on. The allegations from a redacted victim claim that Andrew had been an accessory to torture and murder are so shocking, they’ve largely been side-stepped by the media. But that wasn’t what caused his downfall. But it was one detail that really caught investigators’ attention. And that was enough for Thames Valley Police, who announced that it was investigating - and whatever was left of Andrew’s reputation was about to get shredded. The Royal Fallout When King Charles stripped Andrew of his titles a few months earlier, he had dismissed the need for further censure of his brother. But this time, it was different. The message from Buckingham Palace was much stronger. In a statement, the Royal Household said the King had shown ‘profound concern’ over the continuing allegations surrounding Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct. Just 10 days later, on February 19th, the police made their move. Thames Valley Police swooped on Andrew’s new home at Sandringham and took him into custody. Officers carried out searches there and at two other properties linked to him in Berkshire and Norfolk. The reason? Suspicion of misconduct in public office. Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday - exactly 666 days after a blood-streaked white horse broke free from a royal procession and bolted through the streets of London. Some corners of the internet called it an omen. We’ll let you decide. If you want to learn more about the murky world of Andrew and Epstein, be sure to like, share, and subscribe - we’ve got plenty more videos diving deep into the case. After being held for almost 12 hours, he was “released under investigation” without charge. But that doesn’t mean he’s out of the woods. The investigation is ongoing, with King Charles commenting, “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. ” It’s a clear example of the famous British stiff upper lip in the face of adversity. But for the royals, this is an unprecedented disaster. As Australian TV channel ABC’s royal commentator Juliet Rieden put it, the arrest was “a watershed moment in the history of the monarchy. […]We are in uncharted waters… For a senior royal to be arrested, that has never happened in modern history. ” The last time a royal saw the inside of a jail cell was in 1649, when Charles I was tried, convicted and executed for high treason. So, what exactly is Mountbatten-Windsor suspected of doing? At least 9 UK police forces have confirmed they’re looking into reports linking the former prince to Epstein. The latest U. S. government releases from the Epstein Files suggest something even more serious. While working as a UK trade envoy, Andrew allegedly shared sensitive government documents and commercial information with Epstein The former Duke of York served in that position between 2001 and 2011. In this role, he enjoyed privileged access to senior government and business contacts across the globe. And according to emails, he was more than happy to share the results of these contacts with Epstein. On October 7th, 2010, Andrew sent Epstein details of his upcoming trips as trade envoy to Singapore, Vietnam, China, and Hong Kong, where he was accompanied by business associates of Epstein. After the trip, on November 30th, Andrew allegedly forwarded official reports of those visits to Epstein - just minutes after receiving them from his then-special assistant, Amit Patel. But that’s just scratching the surface. Back in 2019, in a now-infamous BBC interview, Andrew claimed he last saw Epstein in New York in early December 2010 - to tell him he was ending their friendship. But just weeks later, on Christmas Eve, he allegedly emailed Epstein a confidential briefing on investment opportunities in Helmand Province, Afghanistan - a region overseen by British forces

and funded by the UK government at the time. Then, in an email dated February 9th, 2011, Andrew suggested that Epstein might invest in a private equity firm that he had visited a week before. Andrew also seems to have gone to some lengths to try to promote the financial ventures of controversial businessman David Rowland to Epstein. Rowland’s private bank, Banque Havilland, has also run into trouble with regulators in London and Luxembourg. In 2024, the European Central Bank even withdrew its banking license - a decision the bank is now appealing But in May 2010, Andrew wrote in an email to Epstein that “You should know that I was seeing David Rowland, my trusted money man, whom you know from a long time ago. ” Another email in October 2010, suggests that Andrew was keen for one of Epstein’s contacts to invest in a Rowlands venture. “He is actively seeking high-net-worth individuals… Perhaps this is an avenue for your undecided Chinese? ” Then, in 2011, an email to Epstein from an associate noted that “[Andrew] was under scrutiny for dealing with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan (but government approved! ), he has full support of his Mum. ” And as we’ll see later, the evidence against him doesn’t stop there. The growing pile of evidence strongly suggests that Andrew may have used his position as UK trade envoy to enrich himself - while also peddling influence for Epstein… and his shady, “trusted money man. ” The problem for Mountbatten-Windsor is that not only did all of this happen after Epstein had been convicted as a sex offender - but it’s all likely to be illegal under British law. Officially, UK trade envoys ‘are not civil servants,’ but their role comes with serious responsibilities. They must keep any information they receive confidential. Even when their role comes to an end, the Official Secrets Acts of 1911 and 1989 still apply. This “duty of confidentiality” doesn’t include emailing official reports of confidential UK government dealings with foreign governments to Epstein minutes after receiving them. But Andrew isn’t the only powerful Brit feeling the pressure from the Epstein Files. The noose is tightening for others as well. Epstein’s Reach Lord Peter Mandelson - one of the most powerful figures in the British government and Labour Party for decades - was forced to resign as the UK’s ambassador to the United States and quit the Labour Party entirely. Why? The Epstein Files revealed he had passed sensitive government information to the convicted sex offender The emails date back to Mandelson’s time in senior posts under former Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. They show that he informed Epstein about a change in tax rules, the sale of government assets during a UK financial crisis, and a European Union bailout of Greece’s economy. Epstein also sent money to Mandelson’s husband, Reinaldo Avila da Silva. London’s Metropolitan Police has stated that it’s investigating Mandelson over the emails. Like Andrew, Mandelson denies any illegal activity. He claims that his husband accepting the funds from Epstein reflected “a lapse in our collective judgment. ” But the revelations have sent a shockwave through British politics. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is under intense scrutiny about whether he knew of Mandelson’s relationship with Epstein when he appointed him as ambassador to the United States. Some have suggested the crisis in confidence in the government may ultimately be the final nail in the battered regime’s coffin. His chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney, has already resigned over the Mandelson appointment. Should the allegations be proven in court, both Mandelson and Andrew face jail time, up to a maximum of life imprisonment. But in Andrew’s case, the fire could spread right to the top of the tree. According to Andrew Lownie, a prominent royal scholar, the scandal could even end the reign of King Charles III. The issue is whether the King knew about Andrew’s indiscretions and turned a blind eye. “If the royal family knew about that and didn’t deal with Andrew, then the crisis is not just one about Andrew. It’s one about the king himself,” Lownie told ABC News. If it turns out that the King tolerated Andrew’s illegal activity, the scandal fallout could cost him his throne. And if you thought a prince getting arrested was scandalous, imagine the Old Bill coming for the king. However, according to Dr. Jonathan Rogers, a criminal justice expert at Cambridge University, neither of them would be likely to see significant time behind bars if convicted. According to Rogers, the prosecutors would have to prove 4 things to secure a conviction. First, they would have to prove that the defendant held a public office. Secondly, that he willfully neglected or abused his position. Third, that his neglect or abuse was so bad as to amount to an abuse of the public’s trust. And fourth, that there would be no particular defense for his actions. Rogers believes the likeliest outcome would be relatively mild. “I would imagine that somebody convicted of comparable offences would normally expect no more than 2 or 3 years of prison,” he told ABC. Of course, this case would only deal with the “dereliction of duties” side of the Andrew-Epstein saga, while leaving the much more sordid allegations unresolved. As some have suggested, the public misconduct case would be a convenient way to sweep them under the carpet. From Buckingham Palace’s perspective, it’s easy to understand why Charles, Andrew, and the rest of the royal gang would want to

bury these allegations. The suspicions have been circling the ex-Prince for almost 2 decades. Andrew’s Controversial Past On February 11th, 2011, the New York Post published a front-page photo of Andrew and Epstein walking together in New York’s Central Park. “Randy Andy with NYC sex creep: Prince & Perv,” the headline read. Taken in December 2010, the photo was the first public connection between the two. Remember, Andrew claimed in that 2019 BBC interview that he had travelled to New York specifically to end his ties with Epstein. He claimed it was more “honorable” to finish things in person. The trip took place shortly after Epstein was released from prison after being convicted of procuring a girl under the age of 18 for prostitution. However, if that claim is true, Epstein seems to have taken the news particularly well. Rather than crossing Andrew off his Christmas card list, he threw him a lavish banquet. Andrew later claimed it was a “small dinner party, there were only 8 or 10 of us, I think. ” However, the emails show that the guest list included celebrities like Woody Allen and his wife Soon-Yi, TV presenters Katie Couric and George Stephanopoulos, comedian Chelsea Handler, and talk show host Charlie Rose. U. S. entertainment publicist Peggy Siegal emailed Epstein the following morning to say the evening was “sensational. ” "[…] By mutual agreement during that walk in the park, we decided that we would part company, and I left… to this day I never had any contact with him…," Andrew had claimed in the Newsnight interview. However, after he had returned from the trip, an account that seems to belong to Andrew emailed Epstein saying, “It was great to spend time with my U. S. family. Looking forward to joining you all again soon. […] I’ll call you tomorrow... as I am moving the family up to Sandringham during the day. ” As the year ended, Andrew sent a further message: “Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and spectacular entry into 2011. ” Sure, maybe bluebloods end relationships differently than the rest of us… But these emails don’t exactly make it look like Andrew put Epstein on the back burner, do they? To make matters worse, a few days after the publication of the park stroll photo, a second, now-notorious photograph of Andrew from 2001 was published by the British Daily Mail. The image shows him with his arm around then-17-year-old Virginia Giuffre’s waist - with Epstein’s right-hand lady Ghislaine Maxwell smiling in the background. The pic opened a hornet’s nest of controversy for Andrew. By July of 2011, he was forced to quit as the UK’s trade envoy. Queen Elizabeth II- who seemed far more tolerant of Andrew’s controversies than her son, King Charles - stated that he would still carry out official trips abroad as a member of the royal family. But Andrew’s problems were anything but over. In January 2015, Giuffre alleged that Epstein had trafficked her to Andrew for sex on multiple occasions when she was still only 17. But Giuffre is not the only victim to have alleged sexual abuse and worse by Andrew. Another has accused him of being an accessory to torture and murder. And more recently, another sordid story emerged from the latest U. S. government file dump. In 2020, a British woman told the FBI that she had been trafficked to Andrew by her own father in the mid-1990s. She claims to have been taken to “parties” at a Thorpe Green house where Prince Andrew hit her with his car — damaging her rib, hip, and leg severely enough to cause infection. According to the FBI report, she claims to have woken up to Andrew assaulting her on the same property. Later, Maxwell allegedly administered electric shocks while men - including Andrew - watched. She says Maxwell then beat her with a broom, breaking her nose. On top of that, she claims Epstein abused her at a Palm Beach mansion It remains to be seen whether either of these victims ever bring their claims before a court like Giuffre did. But the fallout of the Giuffre affair was certainly dramatic for Andrew. The Victim Following Giuffre’s original allegations against Mountbatten-Windsor in 2015, the London Metropolitan Police reviewed her claims but didn’t take the matter any further. Andrew probably hoped that the laundry list of allegations would eventually disappear. He couldn’t have been more wrong. In July 2019, Epstein was arrested for a second time on charges of sex trafficking, accused of abusing dozens of young women. And the spotlight inevitably turned back onto his associates, including the ex-Duke of York - which some think contributed to the next turn in this tale. Epstein was found dead in his cell in August of that year after allegedly hanging himself. However, the high-profile scrutiny of Epstein’s associates didn’t die with him. In fact, it only seemed to increase. In November 2019, Andrew agreed to give that ill-fated BBC interview and was compelled to withdraw from public duties following the backlash. Then, in January 2020, U. S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman announced that then-Prince had provided “zero cooperation” to the FBI’s ongoing Epstein investigation. This was despite his having previously promised to assist wherever he could. The former prince’s lawyers denied the claims, suggesting the Department of Justice, or DOJ, was “seeking publicity” rather than accepting help from the Duke. “The Duke of York has on at least three occasions this year offered his assistance
Segment 4 (15:00 - 20:00)
as a witness to the DOJ,” the statement read. The DOJ disagreed, and by July had formally requested the UK to facilitate an interview with Mountbatten-Windsor as part of the Epstein probe. However, no interview took place. But Andrew ended up in the dock anyway, In August 2021, Giuffre sued him in the U. S. for sexual assault under the Child Victims Act. I am holding Prince Andrew accountable for what he did to me,” she stated, adding, “the powerful and rich are not exempt from being held responsible for their actions. ” She asserted that she had met the ex-Duke while she travelled with Epstein between 2000 and 2002. Her lawyers said that she had been “on call for Epstein for sexual purposes” and was “lent out to other powerful men,” including the former prince. Giuffre alleged that Andrew had forced her to have sex with him at Maxwell’s London home, and abused her at Epstein’s properties in Manhattan and on Little Saint James, also known as “Epstein Island. ” In the latter case, Giuffre claimed to have been involved in a “disgusting” orgy with Andrew, Epstein, and multiple girls. ” Andrew repeatedly denied the allegations, and the Met Police reportedly re-examined them. However, they announced in October that they had found insufficient evidence to pursue a criminal investigation. In January 2022, Andrew’s legal team tried to have the case thrown out early. The court said no - meaning depositions and evidence-gathering could move forward. Just a month later, a settlement was reached, sidestepping what could have been a hugely embarrassing trial. While he didn’t admit to any of Giuffre’s allegations, the ex-Duke acknowledged that she had suffered as a victim of sexual abuse. The cost of the settlement has not been disclosed, but legal experts estimated it could be greater than $10 million. The source of the funds is also unclear - but it’s rumored that the Queen funded at least some of it. But at least justice had been served. Or had it? In March 2025, Giuffre announced on Instagram that she had been involved in a bus crash and only had “four days to live” after doctors had told her she was suffering kidney failure. And on April 25th, 2025, she was found dead at her home in Neergabby, Western Australia. The long-running Epstein scandal, the bus crash, reported kidney failure, a custody battle with her husband, and a restraining order were all cited as contributing to her emotional state However, not everyone was buying this story. Giuffre had stated in a 2019 social media post that she was making it “publicly known” that she was in good mental health. Her father, Sky Roberts, publicly rejected the self-harm narrative, stating, “... there’s no way that she did,” and claiming “somebody got to her. ” He emphasized her strength and that she had “too much to live for. ” Understandably, while there’s no concrete evidence of any foul play, calls for a full, transparent investigation continue. Meanwhile, the pressure on Andrew is increasing by the day, with the fallout from the Epstein Files revelations proving to be the gift that keeps on giving. In late February 2026, former Prime Minister Gordon Brown formally demanded a police investigation into whether Andrew used taxpayer-funded military flights and Royal Air Force bases to meet with Epstein. The ex-Prince, nicknamed “Airmiles Andy,” is suspected of using chartered RAF flights for personal engagements- including potential Epstein meetings - under the cover of trade envoy duties. In December 2000, Epstein’s Gulfstream jet landed at RAF Marham, after which Andrew hosted him at Sandringham, just 20 miles (32 km) away. As shown in the Epstein Files, Maxwell relayed a Telegraph reporter’s query about the incident to Epstein, saying, “that’s… and true and you should say so. ” Epstein replied, “Just spoke to Larry [Epstein’s pilot], it’s true. ” The BBC has subsequently revealed that Andrew also spent UK taxpayers’ money on “massages. ” Citing retired civil servants, the report disclosed that “[The servants] were shocked by Andrews’ lavish spending when he was trade envoy on things like massages, but also what’s been described as unnecessary travel expenses, unnecessary hotel rooms for his entourage. ” And if Andrew Lownie is correct, the worst might still be yet to come for “Randy Andy. ” His book, “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York,” is a shocking exposé of what really took place between the disgraced prince and financier, and much more. Based on years of research - BBC archives, interviews, and leaked emails - Lownie’s investigation paints a stark portrait: A man shielded by royal privilege, addicted to sex from childhood, and ultimately undone by his alliance with the world’s most notorious sex offender. According to Lownie, Epstein described Andrew as his “Super Bowl trophy. ” He used the prince to gain valuable intel, which he then passed to the Israeli Mossad and other foreign intelligence agencies. Prince Andrew’s decades-long relationship with Jeffrey Epstein was “earlier, longer, and far more intimate than anyone has previously admitted. ” And their friendship was so depraved that even Epstein, the self-proclaimed “king of kink,” was shocked by the Prince’s sexual appetites, according to the book. In one interview, Lownie explained that “the Prince was a useful idiot who gave Epstein respectability and access to political leaders and business opportunities. […] Meanwhile, Epstein offered Andrew an opportunity to join the super-rich and enjoy a lifestyle to which he
Segment 5 (20:00 - 24:00)
had long aspired, an endless supply of women, a chance to make lots of money… someone who would bankroll his lavish lifestyle as well as settle [his ex-wife] Sarah Ferguson’s debts. ” So, according to Lownie, while the British royal unwittingly spied on Epstein’s behalf, he simultaneously compromised himself, making him the perfect tool. But Lownie is not the only one to make these claims. Epstein’s one-time “mentor,” the serial fraudster Steven Hoffenberg, told the same tale. Hoffenberg was the former chairman of Towers Financial Corporation, a debt collection agency that was exposed as a Ponzi scheme in 1993. The Securities Exchange Commission deemed it to be “one of the largest Ponzi schemes in history” at the time. Towers Financial used fabricated financial statements to lure investors to give the company money under false pretenses and Hoffenberg spent 18 years behind bars. But according to him, Epstein was his “partner-in-crime” during the Ponzi scheme operation, and conducted many crimes alongside him on a daily basis. “He’s got a gift that’s extraordinary where he controls the people he meets and manipulates them totally with his charisma,” Hoffenberg stated. In an interview with the British tabloid The Sun in 2020, Hoffenberg also claimed that Epstein would boast to his friends about how he was going to sell Prince Andrew’s secrets to the Mossad. According to Hoffenberg, “Epstein knew he could manipulate Andrew. That’s a solid fact. Epstein’s ability to manipulate was extraordinary. … Andrew respected Epstein highly and was tremendously impressed, so that’s what made him vulnerable to Epstein. ” Hoffenberg revealed that Epstein’s plane was known as the “Lolita Express” and there was a roster of young women for the parties that Epstein threw for his friends, including Prince Andrew. Everything was recorded on a honeypot camera at those parties so that Epstein could then use it for financial gain and give the footage to the Mossad. “I remember Andrew was at many of his events when he took over the house in Manhattan – that was in the early years,” he said. “Andrew had a weakness for the girls and fast life, [and] Epstein provided that fantasy. Andrew would then give the intelligence that Epstein would give to Israel. ” After serving 18 of his 20 years of imprisonment, Hoffenberg became a reborn Christian and claimed to be acting on behalf of his victims. He died in August 2022 at age 77. And from Andrew’s perspective, that’s probably a rather fortunate turn of events. What Comes Next? According to Lownie, the revelations are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Andrew’s sexual tendencies. According to Lownie, Andrew’s proclivities began at a very young age. The problem only worsened when Andrew lost his virginity after a friend’s father hired two escorts for the boys. Lownie’s source also claimed that the prince had been “a victim of sexual abuse” Canadian journalist Ian Halperin was the only reporter to interview Epstein at length prior to the financier’s death, and provided Lownie with exclusive access to his records. In one email, Epstein insisted that he and Andrew were “very similar,” as they were “both serial sex addicts” who’d even “shared the same women. ” Andrew was “the only person I have met who is more obsessed with [sex] than me,” he attested. The prince was “the most perverted animal in the bedroom,” he wrote, adding that “He likes to engage in stuff that’s even kinky to me – and I’m the king of kink! ” Lownie also reveals that Giuffre’s original filings also alleged that Andrew had lobbied on Epstein’s behalf after his arrest, working to ensure he received a light sentence. Epstein repaid the favor by clearing his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson’s, substantial debts. British media reacted with shock to the claims, with one mainstream headline blaring that “Prince Andrew may have been secretly filmed with [young women] he is alleged to have abused. ” That same day, a seemingly frantic Andrew emailed Maxwell: “Let me know when we can talk. Got some specific questions to ask you about Virginia... ” At the time, Buckingham Palace issued a firm denial, stating that “any suggestion of impropriety” by Andrew and that the Royal Family “emphatically denied the Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts. ” However, the days of the Palace having his back seem to be over. After years of alternating between silence over his sexual abuse and flatly denying the allegations, Buckingham Palace is clearly taking a much harder stance... And there’s still the threat of further disclosures. As Lownie makes clear in his book, if serious investigations into the prince’s alleged perversions are added to the investigation into his public misconduct, it could discredit the royal family for good. It could even spark impeachment - and potentially bring an end to the reign of the House of Windsor. And it wouldn’t be the first scandal to rock the palace, find out more by watching The Royal Family's Dirty Secrets Finally Exposed, or click on this video instead.
