Patience is the reason that most people are broke because everybody is of the opinion that patience is a virtue, but in business that is uh not really true. The saying that I like to use is be impatient with action but patient with the results. A great example of this is when I was um outreaching to get my first copywriting clients, right? So, I would send out tons and tons of messages every single day and the process looked like me sending somebody a message, them replying to me, right? something innocuous, something not salesy, and then me offering a uh a free piece of work for them so that they can see that I'm good, then they can hire me. And what a lot of people do is they might get a reply and they might wait to send in the free work um till the weekend when they have more time to create the deliverable and send it over. I was getting out of bed at like 11 p. m. with work in the morning to go and create these deliverables and reply to clients and try to get as much as I possibly could done because every second that you wait is a lost opportunity. And there's way too many people who aren't where they want to be right now, not because they suck and not because they're lazy, but simply because they don't do the things right now. They try to do it when it's more convenient, which is going to crush you in the long term.
