Segment 1 (00:00 - 02:00)

Jeffrey Epstein's estate executives were just questioned by the House Oversight Committee. — "I should have never have trusted Epstein on anything," he said. — "Had I known that he was doing it, I would have walked away. " — This follows an investigation we did four months ago on the two men, lawyer Darren Indk, and accountant Richard Khan. Here are three key takeaways from their depositions. Khan, the accountant, said he found nothing suspicious about Epstein's complex financial structures and bank transactions for young women. Did you ever think any of the explanations for those transactions were suspicious in any way? — No. Uh typical uh you know typically he would say I know a couple that come to mind. He said it was for school or it was alone or to a friend but uh nothing deemed uh or seemed suspicious to me. No. Ind the lawyer said he was aware of the allegations that Epstein got massages from girls in Florida, but he said it never occurred to him that Epstein was sexually abusing the various female assistants working for him before or after 2008. — It was under intense scrutiny and there was publicity about him. So no, I never made the assumption that women were working for him were engaged in a sexual relationship with him. and I never believed that he would be engaging in conduct which with all the scrutiny on him could put him back in the place where he said he was never going to go to. — He was also challenged about his use of the term assistant to describe the women in Epstein's orbit. — The only assistant he had was Leslie Grath. Everyone else is a survivor or a victim, whichever one you want to use. He may have called them assistants, but he had this scheme. — Indy and Khan were paid millions of dollars over the years working for Epstein. He gave them millions more in loans and as co-executives of his estate, they stand to receive up to $75 million if any funds remain after paying out victims. — Why would he include you as a beneficiary um in his estate to the tune of $50 million? — I can only speculate and I don't want to speculate too far into it. Um a couple of things. Epstein had a brother, didn't have a lot of uh friends that he communicated with regularly, which is why the assets in his estate, it seemed to me, were distributed to people that were associated with him on a professional level. — Inden Khan said they didn't know Epstein was engaged in sex trafficking and denied knowingly facilitating any crimes. What they said during these depositions showed us how deeply in meshed they were with Epstein's operation without asking too many questions about the young women in his orbit.
