But if there's one thing I've learned since quitting my job, is that when it comes to drop shipping, there's an easy way to do things and then there's a hard way. So, in this video, we're going to jump right in and I'm going to show you how you can build your very own drop shipping store, even as a complete beginner, armed with just a laptop and some Wi-Fi. The Problem With Dropshipping

stories about people who have made a lot of money with dropshipping. Unfortunately though, the method that most gurus on YouTube are teaching is the much harder way to go about drop shipping. You see, when most people think about drop shipping, they are thinking about drop shipping on their own website using something like Shopify. For example, here is a Shopify drop shipping store right here. Now, this is one of the successful stores out there, but most stores on Shopify, quite frankly, don't do that well. They are not successful with drop shipping. And there are a number of reasons for that. primarily just because it is so difficult to get people to actually visit your website and be willing to spend money there. And usually that requires you to spend a lot of money on advertising, either advertising on Facebook, on Instagram, or maybe paying an influencer on Tik Tok to promote your products for you. It's a lot of money that you could put into the marketing and never get anything out of it if no one ends up buying from you, which is the case for a lot of sellers. So, if

Sell On A Marketplace

you're a beginner looking to get into drop shipping, then what I actually recommend that you do is sell on a marketplace like eBay. So, marketplace is basically a website that already exists where you can go on and sell any products that you want. Think eBay, think Amazon, think Etsy. These are all marketplaces. They're already set up. They already have customers. So, if I were a customer on eBay searching for a table, I would just come in here, search for tables, and we see all of these different offers here. You can easily come on list one of these for yourself and it could pop up right here in the search results. You don't have to worry about trying to get people to visit your listing. They're just going to come here. They're already here and they're already searching for items that they want. Now, you may be thinking to

Why eBay

yourself, why eBay of all marketplaces? After all, Amazon is the conglomerate that we know it is. It is huge. We know there's a lot of people shopping on there. So, why eBay? Well, if we look at the stats, eBay is still alive and well despite what a lot of people think. In 2024, it generated over $10. 2 billion in revenue, and that's actually an increase from the prior year. So, it is still alive. It is still hot. There are still a lot of people shopping on here. But more importantly, what makes eBay so unique for you as a seller, especially as a beginner, is that it is so beginner friendly. Other marketplaces like Amazon, they are very strict. it's very easy to get shut down on Amazon as a seller and that's a lot harder for it to happen to you on eBay. So, if you're a beginner, it is definitely the better place to start. Now, if you already have an eBay account, you can use the one you already have to do this. Otherwise, come to ebay. com and click on the top left here where it says register. You'll then be able to create an account. Now, if it gives you the option, definitely choose a business account. Usually, if you choose business account, they will give you higher limits on your account. So, it is worth it to go through the extra couple of questions that they ask you. And you don't even need a quote unquote real business to sign up for a business account. Now, once your account is set

Product Research

up, you'll want to start to think about what items you're going to list into your store. And this is another place where selling on eBay is a lot different than selling on your own website, like with Shopify. If you look at the Shopify store, they're only selling one product primarily. It's these slippers. They might have some other products that are related, but it's all basically related to this one product. And you'll see that a lot with these Shopify stores or if you're drop shipping on your own website, you really have to concentrate down on one very, very specific niche. And luckily, when we're selling on eBay, you don't have to do that. You can sell anything and everything, which means that if you list up the wrong product, it doesn't matter. Let's say you list up this and it doesn't sell. It doesn't matter because you'll have a lot of other products in your store that are going to be selling. So, with that in mind, let's dive now into product research. So, this is the tool that I use to always find the hottest trending products to sell on eBay. I'll have a link to this software in the description of this video. It's not free, but with that link, you will get a $1 trial. And just to give you a heads up, that is my affiliate link, but it won't cost you anything extra to use it. And what I love about this software is that as soon as you log in, they actually give you some trending products right here. You don't even need to do any searching around uh using any of the other tools. It literally just gives you winning products right here. So, you can come in here, see what's selling well, and then source those products yourself. But for

Trending Dropshipping

the purposes of this video, I want to show you actually my favorite tool to use, and that is the trending drop shippers section here on the left. So, what this does for you is it identifies other people who are drop shipping on eBay, and you can see not only how well they're doing, like this seller has done over $25,000 in sales in the past month, but you can also scan their store and see exactly what they're selling. So, let's go ahead and do that. Let's find a good drop shipper. This one's doing $24,000 a month. This one's doing $60,000 a month. And if I click on any of these buttons, it will analyze their store. So, let's go ahead and do that for one of these. So, up here at the top, we can get some stats on how well this store is doing. We can see they're doing over $24,000 a month in sales with

Dropshipping Examples

just 680 items. But what I care about more is over here down, if you scroll down, this actually shows you their top products in their store and how often those items are selling. So, for instance, their top item right now is this coffee maker. They've sold this 84 times in the past month, 14 times in the past, sorry, 38 times in the past 14 days, and 11 times in the past 7 days. And what I love about that is that tells me that not only was this product popular a few weeks ago, but it is continuing to be popular week after week. We see another one of those items right here. This is some sort of disinfectant wipe. This has been selling for the past few weeks quite a bit. And we even see this garland for your fireplace, believe it or not, is still selling right now as well. So, lots of products here. So, what I now do is when I find a store like this that has a lot of successful items that are selling quite frequently, you know, more than just a few times a month. I like to see like every two to three days products are selling. I then like to go in and find similar products using whatever supplier I want to use. So, in this case, I want to use Amazon as my supplier. I like to drop ship from Amazon to eBay. There's a number of reasons for that. One is just Amazon is really fast shipping, really great prices, and they have a fantastic customer service and return. So, it just makes it very, very easy to drop ship from them. So, what I like to do is let's say I want to sell something like this, like a coffee maker, a single serve coffee maker. I'll just come over here to Amazon and search for single serve coffee maker, right? And what I'm looking for here is the best result. And by best result, I just mean the one that looks very similar to this, but I don't want the exact same one because I don't want to be competing with the seller. I want to sell something different. So, I want something that looks very similar, but isn't exactly the same and is as cheap as possible with still great reviews. So, right away, this one is jumping out at me. It's this single serve coffee maker. It's only $20, which is already significantly cheaper than any of the other ones on this row. And it still has great reviews. Four stars, over 2,000 feedback. But we'll scroll down a little more, see if we can find something a little bit better. This one is $22. 99. So, that's just a little bit more money, but it's pretty much the same item. And scrolling down further, I'm not really seeing anything else that even gets close to beating that one in the top row. So, I think that would be the winner for me up there. That $19. 99 one that has over 2,000 fourst star reviews. So, I really, really like that one. That would be the one I would then list in my store. So, I would then continue doing that for every single item. I would then find this one. I would find this one. Uh, I really don't discriminate here except if we get this little warning here that says Vero brand, these are items you don't want to sell on eBay. This person is doing it. Uh, they're getting away with it for now, but this listing will probably get shut down. So, that's something I like about the software is that it warns you that these are items you don't want to list. But other than that, I will find every single item or something similar to it and list it into my store, which I'll show you how to do in a minute. But before I do that, I do want to show you one some of the other product research tools on Zeke that I really like. So coming back here to the homepage, I also really like this section right here called trending eBay niches because this will actually identify you the most popular categories on eBay. So this is pretty huge. And then you can actually look at the most popular products in that category. So let's take a look here. We have let's see one I haven't looked at in a while. solar light lamp. So, let's go ahead and click on that. By clicking on that, that will then scan this category. And coming down here, we can see which ones are the most popular. So, we see that this kind of light has sold over 300 times in the past month. This one has sold 289 times. 204 times. And what I like to do here is I like to look for ones where there's multiple in the top results that look similar. So, these two are number two and three, and they look very, very similar, right? Very, very similar look to them. So, I'm going to look for something like that on Amazon. So, this is a 3000LM solar light. So, let's see. Let's do Let's open up this so I don't lose it. I'll do 3000 LM solar lights outdoor. And here we go. We see very similar results, right? These look very similar to the ones we saw on Zeke that were successful. And then I'm going to do the same thing. I'm going to look for the cheapest one that still has good reviews. So, this is $25. 99 with over 15,000 reviews, 4. 4 stars. So, that's looking very good. Let's see if we can beat $25. I'm not seeing anything cheaper, though. This is $29, but not seeing anything cheaper than 25. Oh, here's a $20 one. But you see it looks a lot different than the ones we were looking at. So, that's not what I'm looking for here. Um, yeah, we'll go with that one at the top because I'm not seeing anything cheaper than that. So, this is the one I would then list to my store. And by the way, if you see two that are close, like maybe they're the same price, but they're just slightly different, there's no harm in listing both of those into your store because again, it's not like we have a single product store that could fail if that single product is the wrong one. If we list up both uh like two similar products and only one of them does well, that's okay because it's not like we bought a bunch of the other product and now we're sitting on all that inventory. With drop shipping, we don't buy the product until after someone has already bought it from us on eBay. So, it's a lot lower risk than a traditional e-commerce business. All right, so let's dive in now and actually list these products into our eBay store. And I do that using this software right here. It's called AutoDS. Same deal as before. If you want to try it out, because it's not free, but if you want to try it out for just $1, you can use my affiliate link in the description of this video for an extended trial that's only available to people that use that link. Again, just $1. So, once you sign up for it, it's very easy. During the sign up process, they're actually going to ask you where you want to sell your products. So, you're going to select eBay, and then it's going to link up with your eBay account. Very straightforward because they literally walk you through it. Once you do, you'll have your account. You'll be logged in. It will look like this. Now, there's a lot here, so don't feel overwhelmed by it. I'm going to show you the very basics to get you started, and you're going to see how easy this is to use. So, this is already linked up with my eBay account. Like I said, you do that when you actually set up the software. So, now I just need to add the product into my store. So, I can do that by clicking here where it says add a single product. And then I'll return back to that coffee maker. Where was that one? Here it is. And all I'm going to do is grab this URL. So, I'm just going to highlight it and copy it. Now, coming back over here to AutoDS, I'm going to paste it in this box and click on this orange button. So, now this is grabbing all of the details from Amazon for me, pulling them into the software and giving me a chance to edit any of them the way that I want. And primarily, what we're trying to do here is we are trying to optimize this listing. This is key.

Optimize Listing

Most people do not do this and it is a huge mistake not to do this on eBay. You see this product right here? It is optimized for Amazon. It is not optimized for eBay. So, we need to optimize this product for eBay. And this software allows you to do that. In fact, it does a lot of it for you. So, we'll skip the title for now. But if we look at the category, the tags, the shipping method, all of that is automatically optimized by the software. It does it for you. It picks the right tags. category, and I've never had a problem with it. So, all of that's done for you. Scrolling down further, you see under the monitoring section, it will automatically turn on stock and price monitoring. This is really important as well because if we list this item and then the price changes, we want to make sure that the price is then changed in our eBay store. You see, when we list this product, the software is automatically going to increase the price. It's price to cover anything like sales tax we might pay. It's going to increase it to cover our eBay fee. And it's going to increase it more so we actually make a profit. Then if the price changes later on eBay, sorry, on Amazon, the software will automatically change the price in our eBay store. And similarly, if the item goes out of stock on Amazon, well, the software will automatically make sure the item goes out of stock in our eBay store. All of that on the back end is automated, including the auto ordering as well, which you see down here, which means that as soon as someone buys a product from us on eBay, the software will automatically buy it from Amazon for us and have it shipped directly to our customer. We don't even need to do that process oursel. So, I make sure that all of these are toggled on. So, on the back end, everything is automated. If we come into the description here, you can see it makes a nice looking description for us. So that is optimized for us as well. If this was available in different colors, we could sell all the different colors, but this is just one. And we have all the images in here as well. So this is the first part that we have to manually optimize are the images. Usually there's nothing you really have to do, but what I'll do is I'll come in here and I'll see that okay, this is the main image. It's the main image on Amazon by default. That's the same one that AutoDS selects for eBay. But what I like to do is I like to see, hey, is there a different image that could possibly also be a great main image. So, I like this one right here. I'll set this one as my main image. It still clearly demonstrates what this product is. It looks really nice here, right? And I like to have something different so that I stand out from someone else who might also be selling this same product. So, I'm setting that as my main image, but a lot of times the main image that Amazon has is really the best image. So, don't feel like you have to change it. So

Optimize Title

next what we have to do is we need to optimize this title for eBay. So, again, this is a great title for Amazon. It's not eBay. So, coming back in here again to AutoDS, I'm on the product tab again, and we have the title right here. And we can see we already have a problem because this is over 190 characters, the title from Amazon, and eBay only allows 80 characters. So, we definitely need to change this up. Now, there's two ways to do this. You can do this manually. If you click on optimize your title, that will then bring up this page where you can actually go through a process of building the title yourself, doing some keyword research. I'm going to be a little bit lazy for purposes of this video. I'm going to click right here where it says optimize title with AI. And this allows you to use AI to actually make the title better. So, I'm going to choose a balanced temperature, so to speak. And for the tone, I want it to be sellable. That's what I always choose, sellable. And then I'll click on AI, right? That will then create a title for me, this one. So, I can now save this and actually add it into my title right here. And there we go. You see it's now 75 of 80 characters. So, it does a very good job of filling it up as much as possible. We have a now optimized great title, an optimized listing. I can now click on this button right here, save and import, and then that item would be live in my eBay store. Now that you've added your first product into your store, you're just going to repeat the process. You're going to come back in here to Zeke, go through every single item that you found, find something similar on your supplers's website that has good reviews, and add them into your store using this software. Everything on the back end is automated, right? The pricing of the items, the repricing of them, the stock levels, it will check them. Even the auto orderering, all that's done for you. You just have to feed items into this system. And the key with this, the people that are really successful with this do that. They don't niche down. They don't just choose one category. They sell anything and everything as long as the software validates for them that it is a popular product that is selling on eBay already. So, there you go.
