unfortunately, drop shipping on your own website like this is incredibly difficult, especially for beginners. Most new drop shippers I see who are actually successful sell on a marketplace like ebay. com. So, for instance, this is a drop shipper right here who is selling on eBay. Take a look at the product that they're selling. They're selling this very simple folding table and you can see right here it's being sold for $63. Check out all the images of this product. Now, if you were to purchase this product from this seller on eBay, all they're going to do is turn around and buy the exact same item for less money from Walmart. During the checkout process, they're going to enter in your shipping address. So, this item is then sent directly to you, completely handsoff for them. And the reason why selling on a marketplace like this works so well, especially for beginners, is one, you don't have to build this entire website yourself. ebay. com already exists. There are already customers on here shopping. So that also means you don't have to pay for marketing. You don't have to drive traffic to your website like this person has to do using advertisements. And the really dangerous part about paying for ads is that you can put money into ads, put a lot of money into them, and no one ends up buying from you. That can be a total waste of money for you. But when you sell on a marketplace, you don't run into that problem because you're going where the customers already are. Now, there are so many different websites that you can sell on from eBay to Amazon, but in particular, I really love eBay just because it is so beginnerfriendly and it's just very easy to get set up and they're not as strict with their rules as websites like Amazon are. So, it's one of the best places to start drop shipping. So, this drop shipper is on the right track. But in a few moments, I'm going to be showing you a $46,000 per month drop shipper, and they're doing something that this seller isn't, and it's holding this smaller seller back. You see, this smaller seller is doing everything manually. Meaning, they are listing items manually, restocking them, repricing them. And we know that because every single one of their listings looks different. Here's one of their listings. Here's another one. So, they all look completely different. If they were using software to automate this, then all of their listings would have a standard look to them because they'd be using a template. You can't scale up this way. There's just no way. The big drop shippers always use drop shipping software to automate their stores because it works so well. So, this is the one that I use. It's called AutoDS. And I'll show you in a few minutes how this works. For now, you just need to know that this automates most of the drop shipping process for you. And it's the only real way to scale a store up. So you can see that right here. This seller right here is using the exact software that I just showed you. And I know that because when you come down to the description, this is a template that is built in to that software. Now, what's really good about this store is if we take a look at it, they are doing over $13,000 a month in sales. So this is definitely working for them. But there are some things this seller could be doing to make their store even better and hopefully make more sales. So, let's take a look at their store. Now, when I come to their storefront, you're going to notice that at the top they have this banner here. They have a logo. They have the name of their store. None of that really matters all that much on eBay. When buyers are shopping on eBay, usually what they do is they come to eBay. com and they just search for what they want. Bucket of baseballs in this case. and they're just going to buy based on something that is on the search results page right here. Generally, people do not actually visit anyone's storefront to actually do their shopping. So, I wouldn't stress out too much about all of these graphics and trying to make them look nice. However, it's sort of that 1%, right? It does make a very small difference. So, you do want it to be at least decent and at least professionallook. Now, all this looks pretty good. The only thing I would say is that they've really limited themselves here. It says new tech for everyday life. So that's really limiting the types of products that they are going to be selling in their store to these everyday life tech products. And on eBay when you're drop shipping on a marketplace, I would not do that. I think that is a huge mistake. Instead, you want to be selling everything and anything. And that's one of the beauties of drop shipping. You do not have to limit yourself to just one niche. And it looks like this person isn't doing that because a lot of these products don't fit into that category. But I would just make sure that there is congruence between what you're saying and what you're actually selling. So I would just kind of fix this up a little bit. But it is important to just remember that is you don't want to niche down with this model. A lot of people when they sell on their own website like this, that is what you have to do, right? this person niched down or they niched down, however you want to say it, and they are only selling cell phone cases. But when you're selling on eBay, again, people are just searching for what they want. So, they came over here and they search for baseballs, right? Wherever that was, or they search for tables phone cases, and it doesn't matter if the store sells a lot of different
similar. So, this is a software that I use to do that. It's called Zeke. That is the one I showed you before that gives you an analysis of how well the stores are doing. Uh, if you want to try this software out for yourself, there will be a link for it in the description of this video. But primarily what I use this software for is product research, is finding which products are doing the best on eBay, so I can copy that and actually make those same products in my store as well. So what I did was I actually scanned this seller store which is one of the features of it and it will actually rank the products. So at the top will be their most popular product and down all the way at the bottom will be their least popular product. So I really love this feature of it. So we can see right here at the top they have laundry detergent. This one is sold quite well for this seller. We also have these mason jars and even these floor lamps right here. So you see a large variety of different products. We also have soap. We have more mason jars. We have weed killer, whatever this stuff is, or a house cleaner, I should say, Vaseline. So, a huge variety of different products. And again, this is why you shouldn't just choose one category to sell in. You should be selling everything and anything. So, what you then want to do is you want to get an idea of what's selling and find something similar on your supplers's website. So, for purposes of this, I'm using Amazon. I like to drop ship from Amazon onto eBay. There are a lot of reasons I love Amazon as a supplier. Not only do they ship items quickly to customers, they have great customer service, easy returns, and we can still use Amazon Prime if we use a software that I'm going to show you later, and you'll see why that is in a moment. But let me just return back over here to Zeke because we see right here in the search results two listings here for mason jars. Here's one right here, and here's one right here. So immediately that jumps out at me because that tells me that mason jars are very popular. It's two of the top products in this seller store. So I like to see specifically what features we're looking at in this item. So this is a 12-pack of wide mouth uh widemouth mason jars. This is a 12-pack of regular mouth uh mason jars, I should say. So we're going to look for something like that. Like a 12pack of mason jars basically. And it doesn't really matter if it's wide or regular because both of those are ranked here in the search results. So, I just came over here to Amazon. In this case, I search for widemouth mason jars. And we see a lot of different results here. But I'm not seeing specifically what I'm looking for, which is a 12-pack. So, let me go ahead and modify this a little bit. I'll do 12pack mason jars. And let's see. We have a 12-pack right here. So, a lot of results here. So, which one do you choose? Because there are so many options here. Well, generally what I'm looking for because I now want to add this product into my own store is I'm looking for the cheapest one possible that still has good reviews. So, Amazon's really good at kind of ranking these kind of like based on those search criteria. And right here, we see at the top, this one is $21. 84 and it's got over a,000 reviews that are over four stars. So, that's looking pretty good to me. Let's see if we can find anything cheaper than basically $22. And scrolling down here, we see this one is slightly more expensive. less. So, that's looking pretty good at $20. 89. Uh, but they're different sizes. This is an 8 oz. This one is a 16 ounce. So, let's see if we see anything else cheaper. This one is a 12 ounce. So, this one is pretty good as well. And these are tiny mason jars. So, I don't think we're getting anything cheaper than that. So, I think those are the ones we're going to go with. We have this 16 ounce for 21. 84 as well as these 8 oz ones for $20. 89. And notice I didn't choose one. I didn't be like, "Ah, which one should I go with? I I'll just go with this one. I'm going to be listing both of these into my store. And that's one of the great things about drop shipping is I'm not confident which one of these is going to do better, the 16oz one or the 8 oz one. So, there's no harm in me listing both of these into my store. If I get both of them in, one might sell. And if the other one doesn't, who cares? It's not like I bought 30 of these units and have them sitting in my garage just wasting space and I'm out all that money. That's not the way it works with drop shipping. If no one buys this from me, I'm not out any money because I didn't buy this product upfront. And a lot of times, as we s saw in this store, both of them might end up selling well. So, I'm going to throw both of these
