Intro

This drop shipper is literally selling over $46,000 per month with just one drop shipping store and is possibly one of the fastest growing drop shipping stores I've ever come across. So, we're going to compare it with a $13,000 per month store, a $2,000 per month store, all the way down to this $0 per month drop shipping store that's barely functioning. In fact, this store is probably losing money. And in this video, I'm going to break down for you why some drop shipping stores are super successful and others, like this one, are a complete flop. Now, there are many problems with this drop shipping store, but the main problem with this is that this is built on someone's own website, meaning they set up their own website using something like Shopify, and then they had to pick their own domain and actually build the website out. Now

Selling on eBay

unfortunately, drop shipping on your own website like this is incredibly difficult, especially for beginners. Most new drop shippers I see who are actually successful sell on a marketplace like ebay. com. So, for instance, this is a drop shipper right here who is selling on eBay. Take a look at the product that they're selling. They're selling this very simple folding table and you can see right here it's being sold for $63. Check out all the images of this product. Now, if you were to purchase this product from this seller on eBay, all they're going to do is turn around and buy the exact same item for less money from Walmart. During the checkout process, they're going to enter in your shipping address. So, this item is then sent directly to you, completely handsoff for them. And the reason why selling on a marketplace like this works so well, especially for beginners, is one, you don't have to build this entire website yourself. ebay. com already exists. There are already customers on here shopping. So that also means you don't have to pay for marketing. You don't have to drive traffic to your website like this person has to do using advertisements. And the really dangerous part about paying for ads is that you can put money into ads, put a lot of money into them, and no one ends up buying from you. That can be a total waste of money for you. But when you sell on a marketplace, you don't run into that problem because you're going where the customers already are. Now, there are so many different websites that you can sell on from eBay to Amazon, but in particular, I really love eBay just because it is so beginnerfriendly and it's just very easy to get set up and they're not as strict with their rules as websites like Amazon are. So, it's one of the best places to start drop shipping. So, this drop shipper is on the right track. But in a few moments, I'm going to be showing you a $46,000 per month drop shipper, and they're doing something that this seller isn't, and it's holding this smaller seller back. You see, this smaller seller is doing everything manually. Meaning, they are listing items manually, restocking them, repricing them. And we know that because every single one of their listings looks different. Here's one of their listings. Here's another one. So, they all look completely different. If they were using software to automate this, then all of their listings would have a standard look to them because they'd be using a template. You can't scale up this way. There's just no way. The big drop shippers always use drop shipping software to automate their stores because it works so well. So, this is the one that I use. It's called AutoDS. And I'll show you in a few minutes how this works. For now, you just need to know that this automates most of the drop shipping process for you. And it's the only real way to scale a store up. So you can see that right here. This seller right here is using the exact software that I just showed you. And I know that because when you come down to the description, this is a template that is built in to that software. Now, what's really good about this store is if we take a look at it, they are doing over $13,000 a month in sales. So this is definitely working for them. But there are some things this seller could be doing to make their store even better and hopefully make more sales. So, let's take a look at their store. Now, when I come to their storefront, you're going to notice that at the top they have this banner here. They have a logo. They have the name of their store. None of that really matters all that much on eBay. When buyers are shopping on eBay, usually what they do is they come to eBay. com and they just search for what they want. Bucket of baseballs in this case. and they're just going to buy based on something that is on the search results page right here. Generally, people do not actually visit anyone's storefront to actually do their shopping. So, I wouldn't stress out too much about all of these graphics and trying to make them look nice. However, it's sort of that 1%, right? It does make a very small difference. So, you do want it to be at least decent and at least professionallook. Now, all this looks pretty good. The only thing I would say is that they've really limited themselves here. It says new tech for everyday life. So that's really limiting the types of products that they are going to be selling in their store to these everyday life tech products. And on eBay when you're drop shipping on a marketplace, I would not do that. I think that is a huge mistake. Instead, you want to be selling everything and anything. And that's one of the beauties of drop shipping. You do not have to limit yourself to just one niche. And it looks like this person isn't doing that because a lot of these products don't fit into that category. But I would just make sure that there is congruence between what you're saying and what you're actually selling. So I would just kind of fix this up a little bit. But it is important to just remember that is you don't want to niche down with this model. A lot of people when they sell on their own website like this, that is what you have to do, right? this person niched down or they niched down, however you want to say it, and they are only selling cell phone cases. But when you're selling on eBay, again, people are just searching for what they want. So, they came over here and they search for baseballs, right? Wherever that was, or they search for tables phone cases, and it doesn't matter if the store sells a lot of different

Negative Feedback

products or they just sell one specific type of product. So, you really want to have that diversification and that really helps your store grow quite a bit. Now, one thing that kind of stood out for me about this store is they have a bunch of negative feedback. Now, it's not terrible. Overall, their feedback is quite good, but they do have a lot of these negative feedbacks that they haven't responded to. And look, on eBay, you're going to get negative feedback. It's just part of the game. But a lot of times you can get that negative feedback removed by reaching out to the buyer, apologizing, making it right with them, and then asking them to revise the feedback. A lot of times buyers will do that. A lot of times you can then reach out to eBay and they will actually remove the feedback as well. But the at the very least, if you're not doing that or that's not happening for you, you should always respond to every negative feedback in a very professional manner. And this seller isn't doing that here. In fact, the one time they do, it's not a very professional message. This person said they never received a package and the seller basically called them a fraud. And look, even if that's true, even if the seller is, or sorry, the buyer is a fraud, you don't want to be putting that in the responses here. That doesn't look very professional. And me as a consumer looking at this, I'm not going to have a lot of confidence in this store if the seller is just calling me a fraud or there's the threat that they're going to be calling me a fraud. So, I definitely wouldn't be doing that. So, now let's actually look at some of the products this seller has and we're going to start to analyze them. That way, you can see which products actually sell on eBay with this drop shipping model and you can sell something

Product Research

similar. So, this is a software that I use to do that. It's called Zeke. That is the one I showed you before that gives you an analysis of how well the stores are doing. Uh, if you want to try this software out for yourself, there will be a link for it in the description of this video. But primarily what I use this software for is product research, is finding which products are doing the best on eBay, so I can copy that and actually make those same products in my store as well. So what I did was I actually scanned this seller store which is one of the features of it and it will actually rank the products. So at the top will be their most popular product and down all the way at the bottom will be their least popular product. So I really love this feature of it. So we can see right here at the top they have laundry detergent. This one is sold quite well for this seller. We also have these mason jars and even these floor lamps right here. So you see a large variety of different products. We also have soap. We have more mason jars. We have weed killer, whatever this stuff is, or a house cleaner, I should say, Vaseline. So, a huge variety of different products. And again, this is why you shouldn't just choose one category to sell in. You should be selling everything and anything. So, what you then want to do is you want to get an idea of what's selling and find something similar on your supplers's website. So, for purposes of this, I'm using Amazon. I like to drop ship from Amazon onto eBay. There are a lot of reasons I love Amazon as a supplier. Not only do they ship items quickly to customers, they have great customer service, easy returns, and we can still use Amazon Prime if we use a software that I'm going to show you later, and you'll see why that is in a moment. But let me just return back over here to Zeke because we see right here in the search results two listings here for mason jars. Here's one right here, and here's one right here. So immediately that jumps out at me because that tells me that mason jars are very popular. It's two of the top products in this seller store. So I like to see specifically what features we're looking at in this item. So this is a 12-pack of wide mouth uh widemouth mason jars. This is a 12-pack of regular mouth uh mason jars, I should say. So we're going to look for something like that. Like a 12pack of mason jars basically. And it doesn't really matter if it's wide or regular because both of those are ranked here in the search results. So, I just came over here to Amazon. In this case, I search for widemouth mason jars. And we see a lot of different results here. But I'm not seeing specifically what I'm looking for, which is a 12-pack. So, let me go ahead and modify this a little bit. I'll do 12pack mason jars. And let's see. We have a 12-pack right here. So, a lot of results here. So, which one do you choose? Because there are so many options here. Well, generally what I'm looking for because I now want to add this product into my own store is I'm looking for the cheapest one possible that still has good reviews. So, Amazon's really good at kind of ranking these kind of like based on those search criteria. And right here, we see at the top, this one is $21. 84 and it's got over a,000 reviews that are over four stars. So, that's looking pretty good to me. Let's see if we can find anything cheaper than basically $22. And scrolling down here, we see this one is slightly more expensive. less. So, that's looking pretty good at $20. 89. Uh, but they're different sizes. This is an 8 oz. This one is a 16 ounce. So, let's see if we see anything else cheaper. This one is a 12 ounce. So, this one is pretty good as well. And these are tiny mason jars. So, I don't think we're getting anything cheaper than that. So, I think those are the ones we're going to go with. We have this 16 ounce for 21. 84 as well as these 8 oz ones for $20. 89. And notice I didn't choose one. I didn't be like, "Ah, which one should I go with? I I'll just go with this one. I'm going to be listing both of these into my store. And that's one of the great things about drop shipping is I'm not confident which one of these is going to do better, the 16oz one or the 8 oz one. So, there's no harm in me listing both of these into my store. If I get both of them in, one might sell. And if the other one doesn't, who cares? It's not like I bought 30 of these units and have them sitting in my garage just wasting space and I'm out all that money. That's not the way it works with drop shipping. If no one buys this from me, I'm not out any money because I didn't buy this product upfront. And a lot of times, as we s saw in this store, both of them might end up selling well. So, I'm going to throw both of these
13:00

Dropshipping Software

into my store. So, we'll return back to this software that I showed you before for just a quick second. And again, this is the automation software, the drop shipping software. So, the first thing that this does is this allows you to list items very, very quickly into your store. And this part I really want to show you because one mistake that a lot of drop shippers make. And I wouldn't be surprised if these smaller stores that I showed you before are making this mistake is that they're not optimizing their listings. And I can tell just by looking at this that they are not optimizing their listings. So, if you want to do well, you want to be one of these big stores that I'm going to show you, you need to be optimizing your listings. So, this is how you do this.
13:42

Listing Optimization

So, let's say this is the item I want to list right here. Just going to open this up. And it doesn't matter if you're drop shipping from Amazon, Walmart, Costco, Wayfair. There's a whole lot of different suppliers this works with. I'm just going to go ahead and copy down the URL for this. Now, coming back over here to the software, I'm going to click on the top left where it says add single product. I'll choose my eBay store and I'll paste in my URL and I'll click on this orange button. So now what this is doing is it's grabbing all of the details from Amazon and bringing it into the software. So I can now optimize it. You see the problem is this listing right
14:20

Listing Optimization for eBay

here. It is optimized for Amazon. It is not optimized for eBay. We need to optimize this for eBay. That means different title, different keywords in the title, maybe changing up the picture as well. All of that needs to be changed. And coming back into the software here, you can see that it gives you the ability to do that. So, we have the title here. You see immediately it's too long for eBay. eBay only allows 80 characters. This is 179. So, we're going to come back to that in a moment because that is very, very important. Optimizing the title. It will automatically though select the right category, the right tags, the best shipping method. All of that is optimized for you, which is great because you don't have to spend any time on that. Now down here, this part is really important. These monitors, we have stock monitoring and price monitoring. Both of them are on. So what that does is, let's say I list this item and the price changes. Let's say it goes up in price. Now it's $25.
15:18

Stock Monitoring Price Monitoring

Well, I don't want to sell the product now at a loss. The great thing is when you list this product using the software, it's automatically going to increase the price from 21. 84 up to include all your eBay fees, any other costs that Amazon might have like sales tax and more. So, you actually make profit. So, this will really make sure that every time you sell a product, you actually make money on it, even if the price changes because it will then adjust it later. And also important, if this item goes out of stock, well, the software will automatically put it as out of stock in your eBay store. And finally, it also turns on for you auto orderering, which means that once someone buys a product from you on eBay, then the software will automatically order it from Amazon for you and have it shipped directly to your customer. And they even use their own Amazon account. So you don't have to worry about uh Amazon Prime shutting you down because they are taking care of all of that. So all of that on the back end is done automatically for you. So again, we'll come to the title in a second. Let's take a quick look at the description. Now, what's really cool is that the software will make the description just look very clean and very nice. So you can just come in here and take a quick look at it, make sure everything looks good. But usually it does. If there's different variations, like if this was available in uh a fourpack or an eight pack or a 12-pack, then all of those could appear here and you could list all of them at once if you want. And we also have all the images in here as well. Now, by default, the software is automatically going to make the main image on Amazon your main image on eBay, but I would definitely just take a quick look and see, hey, is there one other one you could use instead? Like maybe this one might be okay. But in this case, I like the main image because it shows all 12 of them. And I think that is important. But sometimes you'll come in here and you'll notice that another one looks just as good. And if that's the case, I'll choose that other one so that I then look a little bit different from someone else who might be listing the same product as me on eBay. So, we've gone through all of that. The last thing we have to do is just optimize this title, which again is very, very important. So, how do we do that? Well, there's a few different ways to do that, but I'm going to return back over here to Zeke, and
17:48

Title Builder

I'm going to click on the left here where it says title builder. And by the way, this tool is actually completely free. You can just search on Google for Zeke Analytics Title Builder, and you can use this. I don't even think you need an account to use it. So, what does this do? Well, I'm going to type in here Mason Jar, right? Because that's just what this product is generally speaking. And what it's going to do is it's going to give us a bunch of keywords here. And these are keywords that people search for when they are looking for mason jars. So you want to include as many of these keywords in your title as you can and as makes sense. So what do we have here? So like this one right here, it says 10 pieces mason jar. That one doesn't make sense because this isn't a 10 piece. This is a 12-pack, right? So I'm not going to do that one. But we can do mason jar reusable. That is a very popular search term. We don't have the word. This one says jar reusable zip, but zip doesn't make sense for this. There's nothing here that zips. So, I'm not going to include that one. We don't have four of these. have the word drinking here. So, I'm not going to include all of this because we already have Mason jar, but we need the word drinking. So, what I did here actually was I clicked here and what that did was it started to fill in the title right here. Mason jar reusable. I'll throw in the word drinking. And all I'm doing right now is throwing the keywords in here. I'm not worrying about the order of them yet. What else we have? Drinking jar glasses. So, I'm going to include the word glasses in here. And glasses with. So, I'm not going to include the word with yet, but I think that will come up because this comes with lids. So, over here we have more keywords. Let's look. Let's look at these ones. So, we already had the word mason. Yeah, we have width lids. So, let's do width and lids. We'll do mouth. In this case, these are wide mouth. So, I'll just include that in there. Wide. I'm sure it will come up here somewhere. Canning. I'll throw that one in there. Canning. So, right now we're at 64 of 80 characters. So, we're getting there. We just need a few more keywords. We have the word reusable, right? And we can include the word food. We need about 11 more characters. Here's a word wide. It finally shows up and storage. There we go. Now we are full. So, let's now organize this a little bit. So, what I like to do is I like the first few words of this to fully describe what this product is because I've seen that the top drop shippers on eBay do that. They cram it full of keywords, but they make sure that the first few words really describe what this is, so we can quickly see it at a glance. So, uh, we'll go ahead and modify this. We'll change this to mason jars with lids. Or let's do wide mouth. Oops. Wide mouth. Mason jars with lids. Perfect. And then the rest of it will just kind of cram in there. So it's wide ma wide mouth mason jars with lids. Reusable drinking glasses canning food storage. Perfect. Right there. So I'll go ahead and click this button. That will copy it to my keyboard. And then I'll come back over here to the software autods. And I'll just plug that one in. And then I'll click on this orange button. And that will then be live in my eBay store in a matter of minutes. And with this proper optimization and automation, you could possibly take your drop shipping store all the way up to $46,000 per month, just like this seller is doing right here. And really, if you want to be very successful with drop shipping, this is the best way to do it because you don't have to worry about building a website, marketing, or even listing items. In fact, you're not even going to waste your time listing up a bunch of items that are never going to sell because you've done the research and you know these products are popular. Like I said, if you want to try any of the software I mentioned in this video, check out the links in the description down below. But if you want a more in-depth guide into specifically how to do Amazon to eBay drop shipping fully automated using this software, then I highly recommend you check out this video right here because I'll show you step by step how to do that. So, click on this video and I'll see you there in just a moment.
