step here is probably the most difficult one, but as you're going to see, it's really not that bad at all. This step is all about finding the right products to sell. Product research. So, this is where we're actually going to go in. We're going to see which products are doing well so that we can sell similar products in our own eBay store. And if you don't do this step, then you're just guessing. You're just finding random products. You're just throwing them up for sale and kind of hoping that they sell. But by doing this step, this really ensures that you are putting the right products in eBay. Think about it this way. eBay already has customers. They're already there. They're shopping for items. They're looking for stuff to buy. You just have to put the right products in front of them and you can start making sales. And that's what we're going to do right now. Now, to help us with product research, I always use this tool. It's called Zeke. I really can't do product research without it because it gives you a ton of data on how well different products are doing. If you want to try Zeke out for yourself, I will have an affiliate link for them in the description of this video. But, let me actually show you now how I use it. So, I've just gone ahead. I've logged into my account. I already have it set up. And what I love is that as soon as I log in, they actually give me right here different products that I can sell. And I don't have to do any digging around. It just shows me these products right here. So, for instance, this product right here, it's this uh carburetor of some kind. This has sold three times in the past week, 22 times in total for a $12. 70 profit. And as you can see, this can be sourced from Amazon. I can click on this. That will bring me right to the product on Amazon. So, not bad. Every time this product sells, you make about $13 profit. Here's another one right here. It's a It's an underwater compass for scuba diving. This one is sold 22 times in total for about a $10 profit every time that it sells. And you see several of these products here. And if you want products from Walmart, you can also see those. We'll just change this now to Walmart. And we see some Walmart products in here as well. We see this outdoor uh folding side table. Every time this sells, you make $23 profit. And this one is sold four times. So, not bad right here. But let me show you some of the other product research tools. We're really going to kind of get in here pretty deep. So, one of my favorite sections right here is the trending drop shippers section. And what I love about this is that this actually identifies for you other people who are drop shipping on eBay. And you're actually able to see what products are their most popular. So, for instance, this seller right here is doing $20,000 a month in sales. This one's doing $19,000 We have another drop shipper here doing $37,000 a month in sales. So, let's look at one of their stores and see which products they're actually selling. And I can do that by just clicking on this icon right here for any of them. All right. So coming into the results right here, what the software does is it ranks the different products. So at the top here will be this store's most popular product which as we see is this indoor folding TV table uh table. Yeah, TV tray table. And this has sold 103 times in total. In the past 30 days, it has sold 27 times. So that's really good. That means it's selling about once a day, which I love to see. Uh this is some sort of uh battery charger right here. This one has sold nine times in the past month as well. So now what you can do is kind of go through every single one of these products and then whatever supplier you want to use. So in this case I want to try Walmart. So I'm going to come over to Walmart and I want to try to find something similar. So we're going to look for this folding TV tray table. Right? So, go folding TV tray table and I'm going to look for a similar product. Now, I don't want to sell the exact same one as the person who is already selling this successfully because then I'll be competing with them. Instead, I'm looking for something similar. We know that this product does well. This one's selling 27 times in the past month. So, it's a su a successful product. So all we have to do is sell now something similar ourselves. Now coming here into the search results, what you're often going to find is that there are lots of results here. different options. So which one do you go with? Well, here's the criteria that I look for. First of all, I look for ones that are similar to the ones that we know are doing well. So I want one that looks something like this. And we see several of those, right? Second, I'm looking for ones that have the best reviews and third that are the lowest price possible. Kind of factoring in all of that together. So, coming in here, I see that this one right here is just $10. 98. It has fantastic reviews as well. And coming scrolling down more, I'm not seeing anything cheaper than that. So, that will probably be the winner right there. You can't really beat that for $10 and with such great feed free feedback. So, that's one I'm going to go with right there. And I would literally do that for every single product on this list and just go through every single one. We know that these are popular products. Let's see if we can find them. So, here we have a birdhouse two pack. So, let's say you want to use Amazon. I'll come over to Amazon. I'll do birdhouse two pack. And let's see if we can find something that's nice and cheap. So over here, this is what it looks like. Just like that. And this one is $34. This one is $30. This one is $25. So these look pretty similar, but this one, if you notice, has a looks like it has like a little door on it, right? to be able to open it up. So, I want that feature. This one doesn't have it, but this one does. So, that's for $34 with that feature. So, I like that one. Can we find it a little bit cheaper? Well, here is just $30. It also has that little latch on it. And I think that's the best one right there. So, as far as two packs go in, that's the cheapest possible with all those features. That is the winner right there. And I would literally again go through every single product and do the exact same thing. Now the fourth thing
what else we got here? It automatically brings in the description. If this is available in different variations, you can choose to have all those variations in here, but I just want the single one. And it also brings over all the images. So, what you could do is you can just click right here where it says save and import, and that will then be live in your eBay store. But we have one final step here. The fifth step here is something that not a lot of people talk about when it comes to drop shipping and it's something that I've seen makes a big difference with your drop shipping store and really your success with drop shipping and that's something called optimization. See this product right here. It's optimized for Walmart. It is not optimized for eBay. So we are going to optimize it for eBay. Now, we've already done some of that, right? By seeing that the product is selling well already using the first software, Zeke, that's part of the optimization, but the second part of it all really comes down to the title. We need to optimize this title for eBay. We need this title to be a good title for eBay and not for Walmart. So, let me show you how to do that. And this is very simple because there's some free software that allows you to do that. So, I'm back over here on Zeke, and on the left here, I'm going to select title builder, and this is actually completely free. You don't even need a Zeke account to do this. You can just come to zekeanalytics. com/ebay titlebuilder. So, it is completely free. And what I'll do now is I will search for what this product is. I'm not going to use too many words. I'm just going to search for folding or uh folding TV table. So, let's go ahead and put that in folding TV table. And what the software is doing is it's basically looking at all the people who search for items on Zeke and sorry, on eBay and specifically all the people that are searching for folding TV tables and it's pulling up the most searched keywords. So, if you're able to put those very highly searched keywords into your title, it really increases the chances that your item is going to get found before someone else's. It's going to get ranked higher in the search results. So, the software breaks this down into two columns right here. On the right are single keywords and on the left are longtail keywords. So, we see that folding TV tables right here. That's what we search for. But it says folding wooden TV has a lot of searches. Also, table natural So, you want to take as many of these keywords as possible and put them into your title as long as they actually apply to your product, right? You don't want to put in different keywords that don't actually apply to it. So, we're going to start putting some of these in here. So, folding wooden TV is quite high. So, I'm going to use that one. And notice I just clicked on it. And what it did was it started to fill in right here. So it makes it very easy. So folding wooden TV table side dinner is also highly searched. I'll click on that. And you see it now gets added there. And also note down here it says we've used 35 of 80 characters. That's because on eBay you can only have titles that are at maximum 80 characters long. So this is telling you how many we have of that 80. And we want to fill it up as much as possible. So, what else we have? Gray, folding, wooden. Well, I'm not going to click on that one. Why? Because this is not gray, right? It's a natural color. And we already have the words folding and wooden. But looking up here, what we don't have is we don't have that word natural that is included in this one. So, I'm just going to see if it's over here. Yeah, it's natural. So, I'm going to throw that one in there as well. So, let's now jump over to the right column because we're getting through a lot of the longtail keywords on the left. So, here on the right, let's see. We already have a lot of these, right? We already have table. We already have folding. We already have We don't have tray yet. So, let's click on that and throw that in there. We have the word dinner. We have We don't have indoor, so let's use that one. We don't have desk, so let's throw that one in there. And we don't have laptop. Can this be used for laptops? Yeah, why not? Right, there's nothing against it. So, I'll throw that one in there. We have the word natural. We can use the word side already, but let's use single. And that puts us at 74 of 80 characters. I don't think we can fit much more. Maybe one more word. Let's see what else we got. Uh, portable is probably too long, right? Yeah, it doesn't fit. We have the word wooden. Uh, I think that's probably it. So, oh, we could throw the word snack in there. All right. So, we're exactly 80 characters. Now, we're not done yet. All we have in here right now are all the keywords just kind of crammed in there. We want to make this look nice and we really want to further optimize this. So to do that, what we need to do is we really want the first few words to fully describe what this product is. So what is this? This is a folding wooden TV table, right? So actually that's kind of done already. That describes what it is. If that's all we had, folding wooden TV table, that would technically be enough, right? But we're also going to throw in all these other ones and just try to clean it up a little bit. So, we have a side we have like a natural indoor side dinner tray desk and then we just kind of leave the rest of the words at the end. So, there we go. That is a fully optimized title. I'll just go ahead and click copy to keyboard. Come back over here to the software. Paste that in. So, now this is fully optimized. I can click now where it says save and import. and the software will take care of the rest. It will list that product. It will price it correctly so we actually make a profit. If there's any price or stock changes, all of that will be automated on the back end as well. And any orders will automatically be fulfilled for us by the software as well. So these are the first five steps you need to build a successful drop shipping store, even if you're a beginner starting completely from scratch. And like I said in the beginning, once I figured out these five steps, this is really what allowed my store to grow for the first time. Before this, I was really struggling trying to make it work, but it wasn't working.
