Outlook Email Signature Made Simple with Canva

today I want to show you how you can quickly  create a professionall looking email signature for   your Microsoft Outlook using canva we can do this  completely for free and I'm going to give you some   canva tips along the way hi I'm Jamie and  welcome to teachers Tech if you're unfamiliar with   what an email signature is here's an example right  here and this is very close the one we're going to   make today an email signature goes at the bottom  of your email and it's Auto automatically going   to be placed there as soon as I go ahead and open  a new email so it has your contact information or   whatever information you want there so I'm going  to show you how to design this in canva how to   download it and how to apply it to your Microsoft  Outlook the first step is let's go over to canva   this is canva and I'll put the link Down Below  in the description so you can quickly click on   it if you've never used before you can do so  many things in canva with design you can even

edit videos work with PDFs and so on but you can  go ahead if you don't have an account you can go   ahead and sign up here you can just sign up  for free I'm going to log into my own account   which is a paid account but what I'm going to show  you today you can do in the free one as well once   you're logged in this is what you should see and  if you haven't used canva before it can create so   many different things from documents whiteboards  presentations video editor as I mentioned it has   AI built into it and the other thing is all your  uh Creations will get saved inside of canvas   so you can access it from any device even mobile  you could put the app on and the experience will   be the same but we're creating an email signature  here today so I can go ahead and search for that   so if I go ahead and just type email signature and  do a search I'm just going to move down a little   bit as I uh start looking at these are  templates which I can modify and this will save   you a lot of time you could start from scratch I  also like using templates I just want to point out   if you're using a free canva account whenever  you see the pro here that won't be part of the   free so if I look at this one right here there's  no Pro that one I would be able to use on the pro   on the free one I do have a paid for account so I  can use any and if you have a an education account   that's hooked up through your education email you  can access uh you can access canva for free with   everything as well but I'm just going to go over  here and click on see all and then it just gives   you a different view to see more of the different  uh templates and whenever you see that Crown   remember that's part of the pro one so what we're  going to do what I'm going to do is just find a   free one we can start with even if I just click  let's say on this free one this and yours might   come up differently so you can pick a different  one but if I go and click on it will show me   more like this so if you like kind of this design  I could take a look at different ones through here   uh so maybe I like this one right here so I'm  just going to click this and at this point if   it's what you would like and this is a free one  here as well I can go to customize this template   and then it creates a copy and it's ready to start  editing in canva or you could put your own picture   and change the information and let's do that  let me show you how fast you can make changes

to this now we'll start on this side and we'll  work our way and just change this information   if I want to change and place my image or maybe  a different image in here what I can do is if I   go over to upload I have all these different ones  that I've already uploaded as I work with canva   but if I choose upload here I can directly go  to my computer and pick an image and click open   and you can see it upload and when this is gone  that means it's ready I want to point out you can   connect to Facebook Google Drive Instagram Dropbox  through here as well once you want this in place   if I click this once it places it here and I can  drag it into place so I'm clicking and holding   and dragging it into the image placeholder or if  I have this selected I hit delete I could drag   this over and just place it right where I want I  do want to point out you can if you click Once on   This if it's just selected once this is where you  can move it around but if I want to adjust where   I am and Center myself I need to choose crop this  this is where I doubleclick on it so notice how it   changes but I'm in crop right now this means I can  move it over I can enlarge in this uh to match it   where I want and I can even rotate if it wasn't  the way you want you can rotate it through   here so I'm just going to go back to where it was  before once you get that all done just click hit   done like that I have some font here uh this is  font this is just more of a cursive font if I just   click any of this uh I can go I could go ahead  and just double click and then type my name if   I wanted to adjust and the other thing I could do  if I click this once I could change the color to   this let's say if I wanted it white I don't want  these in this so I'm just going to click it hit   delete click it hit delete now the other thing I'm  thinking is that if you didn't want the block here   if you don't if you uh have the education version  or the premium if I click on this you could hit   edit image I could go background remover and  it will take away the black it does a really   good job at taking this way I'm going to go  contrl Z to put it back I want to point out   there are free effects that you can use through  here as well now the other thing I want to point   out under elements we have let's say shapes if I  wanted and I'll just use this is a free one and   if I drag this over I have this shape here and I  can change this to whatever color I would like so   I'll just quickly change it to a color let's say  I place this here and I'm going to go over about a   half and you're maybe wondering why am I'm doing  that if I was going to click on it I can change   the layers so if I go click the ellipses here  layer I could send to back so if you wanted to   adjust even though it was blank when we started  you could add things to this uh yourself and go   through the different uh the different things that  we have here under l elements because we do have a   lot of a lot of different things we could choose  from even if I wanted uh let's say under elements   if I type teacher and I was looking for graphics  the these ones I could go and this is a premium   one but there's other ones that aren't I could  drag this and do the same thing that I showed   you before to do uh if you didn't want to have  a picture of yourself but maybe you wanted one   of these Graphics instead so I'm just going to go  back a couple steps you could do this with photos   as well uh the videos won't work because this is  a static image when it's done so let's say we get   this side all done we can quickly go over here  and start adjusting this information so I could   put my name if I wanted it they didn't use the  Caps I could type it like they did here once I   doubleclick in there it places that information  so if I wanted to be let's say I'm a Content uh   Creator and I could type that information but how  fast you can do this and I can add more as well   so if you ever wanted to have more text somewhere  if I want to go over the side there's text and I   could just go add a heading they do have ones that  are already created for you again pay attention to   the crown but I could go add this I could go  and place whatever text I want in here change   my font color Chang my font size up through  here so all these things you can keep adding   to the template if I wanted let's say this to be  a different color I could go ahead and make the   change uh through here like this so very quickly  to change these I'm just going to go through and   just quickly change this information to what I  wanted to be here so I made some adjustments you   can see I'm just leaving the phone number there  I have an email I have my website in this case I   don't want to put an address let's say I just put  my uh YouTube channel and then if I go in here   I'm just going to go ahead and uh delete this and  I'm going to put uh just at teachers Tech because   that's my handle on YouTube and I don't want this  image what I want is to have uh the Youtube symbol   so I'm going to go ahead and delete this go back  to elements make sure you take advantage of the   elements here and I'm going to type YouTube and  I'm going to get some different Graphics here   and I think this one kind of matches here and I'm  going to click it once I can align it and change   the size of it very quickly as I hold on to it  notice that I can see how large it is so I think   these other ones must be pretty close to that and  I can bring it into place and see the alignment   in it and I can even change I notice this one's  a little bit different color so if I wanted it   to be let's say red in here I could make these all  that color and I can adjust the sizes to whatever   I need each of these to be so that was if I was  going say 14x 14 and I can go through and adjust   each of these and adjust the color the other thing  I want to have in place is let's say my logo and I   could quickly go get that if I was going to go uh  I have it in project so I some people might have   it in uploads but I have a folder in projects  so if I go to projects folders and I have this   just this Untitled one and here's my logo I could  put that in there so I could move this all around   I could size it and place it where I want to  have it here so I'll just for this I'll just   put it here I know it's might not be graphically  suited here but just for purposes I'll just leave   it there and now I've decided you know what I want  this color and this color to match watch with any   and I can do this with fonts too so if I click on  this click on the color and now if I go to add a   new color if I go and take the Picker here I  can hover over the red from here and now it will   match and I can do that same thing with the font  so if I click it here and then I can go add a new   color even though I know it's there now but just  to show you that it works with the font as well   find the red or whatever color you're looking  for and it will find that exact one so with all   of this and I'm going to keep this pretty simple  here let's say this is all done the way we want   how do we put it into Outlook now well the next  step is to download this so if I click on show

sh I'm going to go to download here and it's going  to go ahead and hit download now the other thing   I didn't change is that there is a title up here I  could have changed I could have changed this right   here to something else and then it would have been  named that but you can just go ahead and make that   change if you want to title it different so now  it's downloaded let's go ahead and add it to our

Outlook let's add it to Microsoft Outlook now I'm  just going to go and click on mail so I have a new   message as soon as I do that I get message across  the top and then I'm going to have signature   option here in the ribbon I'm going to click on  this I don't have any saved ones at the moment   I'll click on signature I'm going to call this one  canva because we created it in Cana and I need to   place that image here I'm going to create that  make this larger just by dragging it so you can   see a little bit better I'm going to place uh the  pictur insert picture in line and it's this last   one that just got downloaded it here and I go open  and now just a couple things I want to show you   if I go and rightclick on this you get different  options if you're wondering size you can see it's   at full size best fit it's already at the best fit  option here too so I could go ahead this point I   could hit save and now this will be saved as one  of my signature if I ever wanted to edit anything   if I click back and I thought well you know what  maybe I want to add a link to this so goes to my   website when people click on it I could go back  in this way and I could just type my uh teachers   Tech address right up here so now will be a live  link as well to it when do you want this to be   selected so for new messages so I can change this  no signature for new message usually this is going   to be on new messages but you don't really want it  all the time on replies and forward so I'm going   to keep this as no signature I can go ahead and  hit save at this point so now take a look at this   if I go back to Signature I have one called Cana  I could place it in here just like this but let's   say I go and close this message the next time I  open up a new message it's automatically there and   I can just type my uh email and everything's  going to be there and I'm going to have this   e this email signature at the bottom so I hope  you like this way to make canva uh using canva   to make these email signatures in Microsoft  soft Outlook but canva can do a lot I'll have   more videos about canva let me know what you're  wondering about what it can do for you thanks   for watching this time on teachers Tech I'll see  you next time with more Tech tips and tutorials
