There's a very interesting theme with these shredded Hollywood physiques and transformations, and they're just going to tell you every time it's just hard work. While running protocols that would take the average guy years to figure out, and every time a celebrity gets peeled for a superhero role, they give you the same recycled, regurgitated BS. I train three times a day. I ate chicken and rice every 2 hours. I just outworked everybody. And the truth is, these results don't happen because you're eating chicken breasts and you're motivated. They have because someone's monitoring your hormones weekly, structuring your hormones and peptides and phases, and making sure your macros are perfect. So, you come in camera ready, shredded, and these things are all engineered to be a perfect transformation step by step. And Hugh Jackman is not the exception. The man is 57 years old, completely shredded, in the best shape of his life, and his role in Wolverine is one of the most demanding physical roles in Hollywood. And somehow he shows up with superhero conditioning and he's got razor sharp muscle and cuts and no body fat. And guess what? He's perfectly full. And the crazy part is this transformation happened over just a couple months. Today I'm going to break down the Hugh Jackman protocol and likely what he did behind scenes and what's realistic, what's BS, and what's the most important for you to pay attention to because you could do the same sciencebacked protocols and use the same tools to transform your body in 2026. So, in case you're new here, my name is Nick Tragilli. I'm a former IB Pro bodybuilder and I coach thousands of high performing men get in the best shape of their life through biohacking and hormone optimization. And before we dive into this, the content in this video is intended for educational purposes only. This is not medical advice. Always make sure you consult with your doctor. Consider medical supervision before starting any hormones or peptides. You don't have anybody, you can use True Genetics, my clinic. Now, we got that out of our way. Let's dive right into this. So, let's take a look at Hugh Jackman's muscle fullness in these clips because it's unbelievable how good he looks at almost 60 years old. Almost as good as Frank Gillo, but not really. I mean, they both look good. Let's be honest. The muscle fullness is because he's using particular hormones that keep glycogen in the muscle for longer. Typically, if someone's natural in their training, glycogen storage is going to be pretty depleted the next day or even the same day. Sometimes, you're not going to have that fullness to your muscle like kind of like what I have right now. So, yeah, the hormones are going to make a big difference in just the muscularity and the fullness. The veins are more visible or closer to the skin because he has less subq subcutaneous body fat. And also there's a hormone called estrogen which gets trapped between the skin and the muscle. When you have less estrogen in the body and more free testosterone, the skin gets very thin. Now you're also sacrificing collagen because of that. But again, for a short period of time, getting ready for a movie, trying to look your best, having good veins and vascularity is going to be really good. The skin tightness is because well, a number of things. You're eating the right way. You're getting enough amino acids, minerals, and vitamins, but collagen and elasticity is really important. And you get a lot of that stuff from different peptides and of course growth hormone. Now the body demands a lot of nutrients and hormones to recover. So that's why using these type of peptides and hormones make a big difference for him to be able to do this day in and day out because again recovery rules. You don't have good recovery, you don't make any progress. And the body fat level probably I would say 7 to 10 6 to eight rough estimate. It's really hard to tell because some guys will hold body fat in certain areas that other men don't. And it's hard to determine what that number is. Does it really matter? Not really. And the training volume to get this type of physique is pretty intense. I would say it's probably very similar to like a bodybuilder routine like I was doing in my prime and similar to what I'm doing now, but way more intense cuz you want to add fullness and more muscularity to the physique. That's going to require hypertrophy training. So, progressive overload, lots of volume, lots of sets, lots of reps, and a lot of frequency. Now, here's the thing. He's not natural. There's no way in hell he's natural. I will bet my entire bank account on he's not natural. And that's okay. But what matters is understanding the formula behind it, cuz you have to understand these things are attainable by everybody. Now, I'm not sure you're not going to say you're going to look as good as him when you're shredded, but you can do exactly what he's doing if you have the protocols and the knowledge. Now, let's talk about why working hard and diet alone is not going to do this at 57 because there's a lot of biological restraints that you're going to have. Here's the thing. Your testosterone is declining after 30. And once you get to 57, you're lucky you have any testosterone left. I've had plenty of guys over the years, even just this past year, that were zero, they were nine, they were 10, they were 11. There was no readings. They were negative. So, yeah, you're going to need hormone optimization to pull this off at 57. It's just not possible. recovery because you don't have optimized hormones is going to be way, way down. You're going to be really slow at recovering. achy. You're going to be tired. You're going to be sore. Waking up the next day after a hard workout is going to be nearly impossible. And as I look at his physique and I evaluate how much muscle he has, there's no way you can retain this amount of muscle unless he was recovering really efficiently. So, it's
Segment 2 (05:00 - 10:00)
really important you're taking care of the recovery aspect. Now, when your hormones are declining, protein synthesis is going to slow down a lot. probably two decades ago for this man. Now, I don't think he's been natural up until this point because if you look at his physique as we're watching this, this is a lot of hard work. This is not something he built in a couple months. And I know I said that earlier in the video where he was able to transform. I think he had a really good base at one point. I'm not sure when. I didn't dig into his entire life history, but he definitely had a good foundation of muscle. He definitely was training before. He's been training. Maybe he slacked off on the diet. Maybe he wasn't as regimented. But you have to understand this amount of muscle is built over a long period of time whether you're on hormones or not. But protein synthesis is really important because how much you absorb is everything. You could take in as much protein as you want, but if you're not, your body's not synthesizing it. It doesn't matter how much protein you eat or where you're getting the protein from. And then being able to stay healthy and not get injured is the biggest I would say factor for any guy getting older is just avoiding injury. So making sure your tendons, ligaments, joints, fascia is really strong. And this is where [clears throat] peptides come in. If you look at him, you can't train with light weight and have that type of muscle density. You do have to train with some type of resistance. He's not doing bands and pio and kettle bells to look like this guy. So understand resistance training is really important to be able to push the body past that threshold. Now, as you get older, because your hormones are not regulating, your sleep starts to get really shitty. And now because your sleep is shitty, you have really shitty recovery. So you have to understand making sure your sleep is optimized is really important. getting deep sleep, not just laying in bed with your eyes open, actually going into multiple stages of REM. There's multiple stages of REM that you need to hit to release growth hormone and testosterone, all these hormones while you're sleeping because you need to take care of the adrenal gland. When the adrenal gland is not turning on and activating and signaling for repair, the body's not going to recover. In order to look like this and maintain this type of leanness, it requires a lot of hard dieting, being in a deficit. And when you're in a deficit for long periods of time, guess what happens to your hormones? they tank because you're not giving your body enough of the right nutrients and minerals and amino acids to autoregulate these functions. You need good nutrition whether you're on all the hormones in the world or zero. That's the only way your body is getting the fuel to be able to operate. So, it's really important to make sure you have good nutritious food coming in. Now, this transformation would destroy a normal 57year-old. You have to understand there's no way you can look like this without having extra support. Now, let's talk about why that matters. Because it's not just the chicken breast and the dumbbells that get you shredded, guys. Like, that works important. Don't get me wrong, but you have to understand that there's going to be an enhancement being used to look like this. So, let's talk about what that could be. We're going to speculate here. Number one thing he's using is TRT, testosterone replacement therapy. There's no chance he did this with natural testosterone levels or even HRT. TRT is going to restore all the hormones that were depleted over the years that time took from him. He needs to have optimized testosterone. That's basic stuff here. Because the recovery is going to take such a hit from all the training. You have to have optimized testosterone levels. Without optimized testosterone levels, you ain't recovering for [ __ ] Without protein, you can't stabilize blood sugar. You can't turn on repairing recovery hormones. It's just not going to happen. And most TRT doses are going to range anywhere between I mean, you can go as low as 50 to 75 milligrams a week. That's pretty low. I would say standards 100 to 200 milligrams a week. It all depends on what your baseline is and where I need to take you. And also it depends on how your liver health is and your pituitary health when I start TRT. Some guys will need to go a little bit higher in the beginning because their hormone health and inflammation is high or cortisol is higher but it doesn't mean you can't adjust it. That's why you get blood work done two three times a year. You monitor your hormones and you make the adjustments that are necessary. The next thing is growth hormone GH secret goss. So actors rarely use huge growth hormone doses like a bodybuilder would. But they're using GH peptides because they pulse growth hormone. It's not turning your natural growth hormone production off. You're probably using something like CJC1 1295 or Ipelon because they really focus on recovery and adrenals and inflammation and joint tendons, ligaments. He doesn't need straight IGF or growth hormone. I mean, growth hormone is the king of the hill, but he can get away definitely using these two peptides. MK677 is really popular because of the gren response. It does. It helps with appetite. It helps with releasing growth hormone. Hollywood actors love this also because it's a pill. They don't want to inject themselves and that's a big selling point for these things. How do I know? Because I deal with a lot of these guys and they've one less injection. It's easier for them. Now, they can also, like I said, use growth hormone. That's the king of the hill one. Growth hormone is going to really help with collagen and skin and elasticity. It's going to help with your sleep. recovery. And I say low dose. I'm talking depending on what the milligram of the growth hormone you're using is one to four I use a day. Again, it depends on what strength of growth hormone and what type of growth hormone it is because some growth hormones have different levels of IGF in them and diuretics in them. There's different
Segment 3 (10:00 - 15:00)
factors you have to consider. Now, making sure that you bundle these things together is how you get the best effect to have fuller muscles and thinner skin and lower fat. It's extremely important that the synergy of these hormones and peptides you're taking is where the magic happens. So you can also optimize like really basic lifestyle markers like better sleep, better appetite, better motivation, better drive, and you're consistent day in and day out. The third thing I want to talk about is fat loss and recmping peptides. These are amazing. I mean, tes morellin is phenomenal for visceral fat. AOD 9604 is amazing because it's a fragment. It's basically taking a part of growth hormone, the amino acid, and really, really focusing on fat burning, just lowering body fat. Then you got five amino 1MQ. This is a booster for your metabolism, which is amazing. Especially when guys that are combining this with cardio and steps and proper resistance training and proper diet, your metabolism will be on fire from this. My clients speak so highly about this peptide specifically. And Mati, if you're using this with Reetta, you're going to be one shredded monster. I haven't done that recently, but I've done it in the past with Mati. And let me tell you, it is a mitochondria fat burning monster. I mean, rea alone, I'm using redda right now and I am like, you know, remember guys, I'm 240, 6 foot, 38. I'm an old man. This is shredded. And Matsis are great because it focus on the mitochondria. So, it's not just focusing on hormone health. It's working on the cells that help you burn body fat. So, these are all going to improve fat oxidation, recovery, and metabolic output. And these are all perfect for a movie timeline because they work fast, efficient. We don't have much time here. We're actors. Number four is anti-aging and longevity peptides. So remember, you have to stay healthy in order to get in shape. So peptides like GHKCU for skin collagen healing are phenomenal. I've been on GHKCU now for upwards of a year probably on and off. I've been loving it. Epelon, this is not something you use long term, but you use in phases. So, it's typically like a 3 to four week blast of epelon to reset your circadian rhythm, which is great for helping your sleep. If you're struggling with sleep, you do a nice blast of this back into high gear. And it's obviously good for anti-aging because you're improving your sleep. So then if you sleep better, you're going to age better. The combo of BBC 157 TB500 is the best combo out there for energy prevention, tissue repair, cellular health, muscle health. God forbid you got hurt. It's also can be used for just preventative care. Like I said, you can take it and maintain lower inflammation. Your joints will feel better. You won't be as achy, won't be as sore. If you have any past injuries or surgeries, and you're sore or tender around those areas, and you're not as strong, this combo is unbelievable. Remember, at 57, he's pretty much 60 years old. Your joints can't handle this type of training without having repair peptides in there. You're just going to fall apart. Now, number five is not as important to everybody, but we're going to talk about it anyway cuz I think you guys would find it interesting. water manipulation and cosmetic peptide. These are really good if you're trying to prep for maybe let's say a vacation or maybe you are doing a photo shoot or movie. I'm not just talking to people here that are bluecollar workers. These basically are lowd dose diuretics. And the reason he would use this is to peak a movie day or shoot day. And this all has to do with basically manipulation of sodium potassium. I'm very familiar with this because as a bodybuilder, sodium potassium is everything. Not with just peaking for a photo shoot or a bodybuilding show, but for training, for performance. It's very important to manage your minerals and your electrolytes properly. And of course, he's going to do some carb loading. That's easy stuff. That's basic [ __ ] stuff to be honest with you. Carbloating everyone can do natural or enhanced. But when you're enhanced and you carb load, it's a very different experience. You will have glycogen loaded muscles. It's like having two machine guns versus two pistols that have water in them. And this is how they get that bone dry look for him. Wolverine. That's how he looks so good. So let's talk about the variables that are pretty common amongst all these actors in order to get in shape. You know do to complete a transformation highfrequency hypertrophy training five six days a week. Remember I don't typically stress to do that to people that are looking for lifestyle approach but this is for a short period of time and you can sustain it but it's not a long-term training method. You're going to burn yourself out and get hurt. You're going to do a lot of volume a lot of frequency. So you're doing your main body parts or your weak body parts multiple times a week with heavy compound movements plus accessory work. So it's a lot of frequency, a lot of abuse on the joints and tendons and ligaments and the body itself. Then you're going have to be doing a lot of strength and conditioning. This is number two. It's really important. Sprints, hit training, you're going to be doing battle ropes, sleds, box jumps, circuits, flexibility, range of motion exercises. These are really important. Number three would be going into a calorie deficit diet and making sure your carbs are timed out around your workouts, around your rolls, around the time that your body needs more energy
Segment 4 (15:00 - 17:00)
demand. And of course, having I don't want to say high protein, but higher protein that you typically would eat because again, you're creating more demand. You're making the body, you're forcing the body to work a lot harder. So, you need to give the body what it needs to recover and making sure you're eating high quality dense whole foods. This is so important. And it should be pretty self-explanatory at this point if we're at this point. And then of course getting your steps in. I would say high output for this because again we're only focused on a short window of time. 10 to 12 to 15,000 steps a day walking. This is basically fat loss without spiking cortisol, without stressing the nervous system and causing inflammation. It's not magic. This all comes down to just being disciplined with the right plan and having the right support. These are the same exact protocols that I use with my high- performing clients. They do things very similar to this. We get blood work done because it's a data-driven approach always with your hormones. We making sure we're tracking inflammation. We're tracking insulin sensitivity. We're looking at your thyroid health, your gut health. All these things are really important because you need the right nutrients in your body and minerals and vitamins and hormones to get the best results. And then we personalize all the hormones. We're not guessing. We're not making up random doses. And of course, you're not using random clinics to help you. Like, you can use my clinic and we can optimize these things all in house. And you're going to use peptides that actually work. We're not going to be using research peptides. We're using peptides based on your biology and your goals. That's how we build things. It's all personalized to you. And training built for men that are older and nutrition that's based on data. You're not just starving yourself to get in shape. You're not using a fat diet. You're making sure your macros are structured around your goals and your blood work and your lifestyle. This is extremely important. So, if you're trying to look like Hugh Jackman at 50, 60, or maybe you just want to lose fat, build muscle, feel your best you can. There are a few principles you cannot ignore about this. You need your hormones dialed in. Bottom line, you need a nutritional plan that's built for your body. You need training that actually stimulates growth and not just burns you out. You need the right recovery and the right peptides, the right hormones supporting the process because these Hollywood transformations are not magic. They're biology optimized the right way. So, if you're watching this right now and you really want help applying these principles to your body, and you want a custombuilt program around blood work, genetics, your hormones, and your goals, my team and I can only take on a limited number of clients every month for my coaching program.
