Preview the Workspace

when your Google ads conversion tracking tag is configured in the Google tag manager container consider previewing its functionality before publishing the changes made in the workspace this is to ensure that the trigger configuration for the tag is set up correctly in order to preview the workspace click preview at the top right when redirected to tag assistant companion you'll be prompted to enter the webpage urlu wish to preview if your tag is supposed to fire when a particular web page loads you can enter that conversion page URL and click on connect you'll be redirected to the same web page when the web page window fully loads you can go back to tag assistant companion and select the triggering event from the summary log on the left for example window loaded is a triggering event for the conversion tracking tag we configured upon selecting window loaded we should find our Google ads conversion tracking tag under the tags fired category to view the tag details click on the tag and cross check the conversion ID and conversion label by clicking on show more if required when you've confirmed that the tag is configured to fire correctly on the intended action like a page load a button click or a form submission you may proceed to publish the container go back to the Google tag manager ad then click submit at the top right feel free to define a version name and enter a description that can help you keep track of the workspace changes made historically when you're done click publish at the top right and voila you have successfully installed your Google ads conversion tracking tag via Google tag manager
