How To BEAT eBay’s Algorithm and Make More Sales FAST!

in this video I'm going to show you why some products show up at the top of the search results on eBay While others are buried so deep in the search results that no one is ever going to see them or buy them all right the first tip I have for you is actually a really easy one because you can set it once and then totally forget about you don't have to come back and do this every single time you list an item and this is buried deep

inside of your eBay account in the settings now basically what we're trying to do here is to hack eBay search algorithm because there are certain things eBay considers when it decides where in the search results your items are going to end up and one of the things the algorithm looks at is right here in your business policies on eBay and more specifically your shipping policy basically the quicker that you can get your customers their orders the higher up in the search results your items are going to appear so it's really important that you keep your shipping and handling times as low as possible however you cannot make a promise that you're going to deliver items quickly unless you actually deliver items that quickly so that's why it's really important that you work with good suppliers based here in the United States that can get items to your customers fast now I'm not going to

spend any time in this video going over the fastest suppliers you can work with because what I've done instead is I've put together this guide that goes over the top Drop Shipping suppliers you can use for your business the fastest ones and ones you want to avoid as well so make sure you get this you can get it for free by clicking on the first link in the description down below and entering in your email you'll be able to download this and this will really break down for you what to look for in a good supplier and actually tell you flat out which suppliers you should and should not use once you pick a good supplier you can then come into your shipping policy here on eBay and adjust it the shipping and handling time times to match their shipping policy and that's pretty easy to do you just give it like a name here and you can choose if you want a flat cost to all buyers or if it's going to be varied most drop shippers it makes more sense to choose flat same cost to all buyers and then you could choose what shipping service your supplier uses the total cost if you're going to be offering free shipping handling time and international shipping as well and then click on save so it's pretty easy to do you just got to match it up with your suppliers website and their shipping and handling times now while we're in here let's also take a moment and talk about the other policy which is your return policy

because this affects the algorithm as well basically the more generous you are with your return policy the higher up you'll rank in the search results so for instance you do want to accept returns you don't want to say that you're not going to allow returns and you want the maximum days that you can within reason so right now eBay gives you the choice price of 14 day return window 30-day or 60 day for your items I think 30 days makes the most sense if it's 14 days that's too short if it's 60 days that's too much meaning that your supplier probably doesn't have that large a return window so you can't offer 60 days so offer the most you can which is probably going to be 30 days and for return shipping paid by if you choose buyer then the buyer is going to be responsible for shipping the item it's going to cost them to do that but if you do free for buyer you pay well you're not actually going to pay because your supplier is going to pay they're going to give you a free return label that you can give to your customer so that it doesn't cost you anything to return the item but this will help you rank higher in the search results as well honestly

though what's more important than your business policies are the items you sell if you list items that no one wants no one is ever going to search for them and actually buy them but find the right products to sell and your store can do really well so to help me find the right products to sell I always use a product research tool called Zeke Analytics so this will actually pull a ton of data from eBay and analyze that data for us to give us right front and center some hot selling items that are profitable that we can sell ourselves so right here in the dashboard for instance it's showing me that these razor blades I can get from Walmart and they've sold a couple of times in the past month we have some other items here like this formula that is sold twice in the past month for about a twenty dollar profit this candy has sold four times in the past month for an 18 profit this one is has a 16 profit so there's just plenty of items here that it's able to identify for us now one of the features I love about this is the trending drop shippers section right here this actually finds for you other sellers on eBay that are Drop Shipping ones really well so for instance this seller right here has done over 59 000 in sales in the past month so what I can do is I can actually scan their store by clicking on this is going to look at all the items that they're selling and it's going to tell me which ones are selling the best so this one right here has sold 22 times in the past month these ones I would probably avoid because they're zero items but there's some other ones in here that sold like 13 times in the past month this one has sold 11 times this one that sold 10 times this is really the key here that's what you're looking for items that have sold multiple times not just in the past but in the past month because if they've sold recently in the past 30 days then you know that they're hot and they're popular right now and those are the items you want to be focusing on instead of focusing on items that no one actually even wants by the way I put together a second guide for you as well that goes over all the software and tools that I recommend for eBay Drop Shipping you can find this at the second link down below and inside of this guide you can find a link to this software and the software that I'm about to show you and if you use those links you get a deal on the software as well you can get again a free copy of this at the second link in the description of this video now just because you found some good items to sell that people actually want to buy doesn't mean your work is over you can't just list that product onto eBay and expect it to sell and that's because the quality of your listing is also really important for instance one

of the most important things that eBay looks at when deciding where to rank you in the search results is the quality of the images you use with your listing so if you just take a blurry screenshot of your item that's not going to cut it you want nice clear Crisp Images luckily if you use a listing software for your eBay store like I do this is not going to be an issue because this software will actually take care of that for you let me show you what I mean so if this is the product that I want to sell I'm just going to go ahead and copy down the URL for this product now coming over here to the software I can click on the top left where it says add products and now I'm going to paste in that URL and I'll click on edit now quick and what it's going to do is it's going to pull in all of the nice clear crisp images from the supplier's website and guess what if it doesn't have enough images to max out the maximum number of images you're allowed on an eBay listing it will duplicate the photos until it is maxed out that way you kind of again trick the algorithm hack the algorithm to show it hey I have a lot of images of this product I have the maximum amount that you allow and they're nice clear good looking images also this software is going to pull over and bring in the whole description for you so there's a nice description that's full of keywords automatically we have nice tags that it's going to bring over it's going to include a ton of item specifics this is something else that eBay really loves they want a lot of item specifics the more you have the better and this software brings them all over for you automatically and creates them for you automatically but what you do have to do and is really important for the eBay algorithm is you need to optimize your eBay listings title so right now this is the title that is given to us by Walmart it says lifetime five foot fold and half table gray and then a product number I'm assuming that's a terrible title right it might be okay for Walmart but it is not optimized for eBay so we need to optimize it for eBay and when I say optimize it I mean we need to fill this title with keywords that people are actually going to be searching for when they're looking for a five foot folding table like this one so for this we're going to return back to Zeke analytics and I'm going to click on the left where it says title Builder because this is a

tool that will tell us how well searched for different terms are so if I put in here a 5 foot folding table and click search it will actually tell us that five foot fold in half table has about 1300 searches so that's pretty good right it's ranking that as one of the most searched keywords um so let's start with that little bit so I'm going to copy that and that is what I'm going to start with 5 foot fold in half I like to capitalize it make it look a little nicer table but what other keywords can we include well here on the right are some more generic keywords we can include five foot fold in half we already have gray well does gray apply well this is gray yeah absolutely so let's include the word Gray I'm not really worried about the order right now we'll come back to that let's just get the keywords in there it says lifetime that's pretty well searched for I guess that's a brand that's pretty popular so I'm going to include that I don't always include I don't often include the brand name but if it is a brand that shows up in here that tells me that is a brand that people trust and that people would buy so I would include it in this situation plastic is the word plastic appropriate yeah this is definitely plastic so I'm going to include plastic in there what else do we have folding do we have the word folding we have fold in half but not folding so include folding in there you can see right here I'm at 56 out of 80 characters so we're almost done here White uh this is not white though it's gray let's see what else we got table with carrying does this have something you can carry with yeah carrying strap Maybe so I'll include in here carrying strap or let's see if maybe there's a better word for that instead of strap let's see carrying I'm trying to see if there's a carry handle they call it so let's change that to handle carrying handle and we need to need about nine more characters here um plastic folding table yeah not seeing anything else let's go next here and by full do we have the word bifold no so by fold there we go we just maxed it out so we have five foot fold and half table gray lifetime plastic folding carrying it up bi-fold carrying hand I'm just rearranging the keywords a little bit basically what I want is the first few words to fully describe what this is and this is a five foot fold in half table done like that full stop describes what this is the rest of the keywords if I can make them make sense great otherwise it's not a big deal so this is a gray lifetime plastic folding bi-fold carrying handle yeah I think that's fine that really fills it up with the appropriate keywords and now this is a well optimized listing we have great images we have the maximum number of images allowed we have item specifics we have a nice description and we have a fully optimized title as well so I can go ahead and click on Save and import and now have this fully optimized item inside my eBay store okay a few more really important things you need to consider first eBay loves it when they

see an item that has already sold at least once in fact if your item sells once eBay is going to start ranking it higher than if it sells again eBay will rank it higher than higher the point is if your item sells do not delete it keep that listing active and continue to sell it over and over again you'll see products like this on eBay like this person sold this product 62 times this product sold 64 times you saw a lot of those on seek analytics as well part of the reason they did well is because once they sold that listing was kept active and it was kept in stock NOW luckily the way we do Drop Shipping on eBay as long as our supplier has the item in stock the item is going to be in stock in our eBay store as well so we can sell the items over and over again without having to worry about waiting for the item to be restocked in our own Warehouse finally never ever ever ever put your eBay store into vacation mode or as they now call it time away mode every EXP experienced eBay seller is going to tell you the same thing if you put your store in time away vacation mode it destroys your store's momentum and really digs you into like this rut that's really hard to get out of so if you need to take a break from your eBay store and your business just increase your shipping and handling times but don't actually use this feature finally let's talk about

the last thing you need to master which is the pricing of your items in the beginning most people just want to make as much profit as possible and I get that but again the most important thing right now is just to make your first sale it almost doesn't matter if you make a profit on your first sale or if you just break even the most important thing is just to get a sale because that's going to get the ball rolling the more sales you make the more it will prove to Ebay that you are a seller they can trust and then they will send you more traffic and that that's when you're really going to make money with Drop Shipping so to increase your chances of selling an item quickly you want to First sell them for the lowest amount that you can that's going to maximize your chances of selling that item quickly once it does you can then raise the price of it and then it should keep selling so the first thing I recommend is that you find out what your break even point is for the item you're selling you can use a website like this one which is going to help you calculate that pretty easily you'll plug in the costly item the cost of sales tax if you're paying it and your fees as well then the calculator will tell you how much you have to sell it for just to break even in the beginning I do recommend you sell your items at that break even price and then once your items start to sell you can of course raise the price of your items now without a doubt the most difficult part of this entire process is product research so if you want a much more in-depth guide into how to do product research then check out this video right here and I'll see you there in just one sec in
