Pull Text from an Image into Microsoft Word in Seconds!

hi there jamie here today at teachers  tech hope you're having a great day today   today i want to show you how  you can use the microsoft   office app to quickly pull text out of  an image right into microsoft word and   it only takes seconds and that's what i'm  going to show you today on teachers tech so you can see i'm on an iphone here i'm about  to open up my office app works the same on an   android so i'm going to go ahead open this office  app up right way and then i'm gonna go and just   hit the plus at the bottom right hand corner so  when i open that notice that there's microsoft   word i'm gonna just select microsoft word and you  can see that there's scan text now at this point   i can hit scan text and i get my camera comes  up and i'm just going to hover over this i just

picked up a document off my floor here and i'm  just going to scan it just like that now if it   looks alright i can confirm it so if i go  ahead and confirm it it's going to quickly   put it over here and i can even have a little bit  more adjustments you can see where i could add   more or do filters or even crop it but i'm just  going to hit done here and at this point it just   goes through and starts processing and it's going  to open up on my phone with microsoft word here

and this is all live time and you're going to  see how quickly can pull the image out so at this   point right here this is what it pulled out from  it as i just scroll down like this you can see   uh it even took the images out of it and that very  bottom is the document of the whole picture but   let's say if i want to work on this in microsoft  word all i have to do is open up my microsoft   word so i'm just going to open it up right now  and the one thing is you want to be in the same   account let me move my phone out of my way and  notice it says scan and that was just done right   now so again everything's in lifetime i'm going  to open this up i'm going to move my phone way off   the screen and you can see now i can work on it it  pulled out all the different text in it even has   the image in it that was able to pull out and at  the very bottom it shows me the whole picture so   that's how quick i pulled it out and put it into  microsoft word in a matter of seconds just using   the office app on my phone so give that a try i'm  just back here at the home screen on the microsoft

office app here and i just want to point out a few  other things that you can do and i have a whole   different video explaining the different things  so i'll put a link to it but take a look at the   bottom right hand corner if you see actions look  at all the different things that you can do with   pdfs you can sign a pdf right on your phone using  this app you can scan to pdf you can picture the   pdf all these different options you can actually  do image to text without going to microsoft word   uh and you can go quickly by selecting that and  then hovering it over too but you can scan qr   code all these things that you can do with this  app it's a great app to have especially if you're   using microsoft the whole microsoft suite make  sure you're logged in the same account if you're   transferring it back and forth uh with your  onedrive where you can be opening it up on your   computer too so i hope you like this tip today on  the microsoft office app and how to pull text from   an image and work with it right in microsoft  word i'll see you next time on teachers tech
