He tried Dropshipping... For 24 Hours! (My Reaction)

okay we have another youtuber doing a 24-hour facebook marketplace drop shipping challenge let's see how well he did what's up everyone paul here from dropshippingtitans. com where i teach regular people just like you how to start your first successful drop shipping store i've been doing facebook marketplace drop shipping for a couple of years now i have a lot of experience with it i've taught a lot of people how to do it so i love seeing beginners trying it for the first time giving themselves a challenge to see how quickly they can get their store up and running right here we have a youtube video from a channel called blankist and he's doing exactly that i tried dropshipping on facebook marketplace for 24 hours is the name of the video i'll have his channel linked up down below

but you know what we like to do we like to watch these videos and i'll give you my real-time reaction to them drop shipping on facebook marketplace now i've seen a lot of people start drop shipping on facebook marketplace recently so i thought i would try it out there's a pretty good reason for that this is a really hot opportunity right now facebook marketplace is really untapped in my opinion there are just a ton of customers there anyone with a facebook account has access to facebook marketplace and just within the past couple of years it's been possible to do drop shipping there so it really is a great opportunity before a ton more people move in and start selling there so i watched some videos on how to drop ship on facebook marketplace and i'm gonna start by picking a product and putting it up for a listing now a lot of people actually just suggested using amazon instead of aliexpress okay let's back up for those of you who don't know what facebook marketplace dropshipping is he didn't really explain it so i'm gonna explain what it is real fast all we're doing is finding items on other websites like walmart. com amazon. comhomedepot. com and we're listing them up for sale on facebook marketplace once the item sells on marketplace we then buy it from home depot walmart wherever and they will ship it directly to our customers so it's completely hands off you don't have to ever touch or handle any of the inventory you don't have to pay for any ads because facebook marketplace already has a ton of customers expressing everything because they're way faster and even though sometimes they are more expensive um they don't take 30 days to ship and everything so we could up market it on facebook marketplace because people definitely don't want to wait that long i think that's a really smart idea not to use aliexpress especially on facebook marketplace they require you to ship out your items faster than you could with aliexpress so i wouldn't drop ship any items from china onto facebook marketplace use suppliers here in the united states however amazon is not a great supplier they actually don't like that you drop ship from them anymore and so it's better to use suppliers like walmart or home depot wayfair overstock websites like that instead of amazon so a product

that i was looking into a lot um was actually coolers and i know it sounds kind of stupid but you know facebook marketplace is kind of an online garage sale so i wanted to get something that people buy and um that's useful to people and i'd obviously say it's brand new because it's literally brand new they're just getting it shipped to their house so uh yeah so we're gonna look through the products here and um just find one that's not very expensive and it's pretty cheap like a hundreds geez bro 150 bucks 160 bucks 250 bucks um yeah we're just gonna try to find something cool i think we could put it in the uh oh up to 25 this is great all right so there's a cooler right here i'm not sure how much money people would really so it seems like his strategy here is really just to find cheap items and list them up for sale now i understand the logic there but really this is called product research and there's a more formulated way to do this where you actually can do real market research so to speak that sounds way more complicated than it actually is but it's product research where you're actually able to see what items are already really popular that people are buying on other marketplaces and you could sell those same products onto facebook marketplace but it seems like what he's doing here is just looking for a cheap item without actually doing any of that type of research and i'm not a big fan of that because you don't want to just list up random products because then you're kind of just hoping that the products will sell if you do the product research then it really greatly increases the chances that the items you list will actually sell and you'll actually make some sales and some money really paid for a cooler um i don't know why they would go on facebook marketplace if they could just pick it up at a garage sale or um even cabela's you know just okay so the reason people do buy on facebook marketplace when they could buy from somewhere else like from amazon from walmart is really just a matter of convenience when you open up your phone you can open up the facebook app and facebook marketplace and you can buy items right there most people have the facebook app on their phone they already have facebook on their computer it's just a matter of convenience instead of shopping around and looking for the items somewhere else that is the reason why this works so well but i'm really just trying to find a quality one that is definitely prime um because if it ships to them in like two days then they'll definitely be happy with it so uh i think we're gonna have to go with one of these up here even though they look kind of dollar tree all right so what's so cool about this one let's see uh coleman's sword yeah you could definitely just pick this up at walmart yeah this is killing me a little bit i i'm not gonna lie because you're just kind of looking at it and guessing if this product would do well i would really encourage you to learn product research do product research because i wouldn't be surprised if these don't sell i'm not sure if it's prime or anything like that but let's just check it out all right so i've been doing a little bit of research and i think i found a better product and it's actually another type of cooler so i looked in a three-in-one portable cooler unit which is just you know a cooler you plug in the wall or something like that whatever and um i found this one for 36 dollars that could definitely sell for at least fifty dollars and i mean look at it bro it's like it's really nice i'm sure they probably got it from aliexpress or something or they build it themselves i don't know but um it looks like a really good product and i think we could sell it i'm pretty sure it is primed too um there's free returns and everything so that is it's just great it's for outdoor camping and one thing about this one if you are going to drop ship from amazon you got to be a little bit careful here because this is actually a lightning deal you see that on the right side over here which means that very soon within the next 10 hours this is going to almost double in price see it says save 48 so if you're getting this one just because it's a cheaper item which again it's not the best way to do product research that might not hold true after 10 hours when it doubles in price plus if you sell it in the next few hours and then you don't fulfill the order until tomorrow the prices of that is going to double so you always have to make sure you're ordering your items fairly quickly when it comes to drop shipping doesn't have to be right away but within the same day so that things like this don't happen thing and stuff and um i don't even know if it plugs in i think you just add water and it does something it either plugs in it takes something i don't know but anyway we're going to go and list it on facebook and let's go crater yeah the funny thing is a lot of the items that you'll sell you'll have no idea what they are i know that's the case for me i'm like i don't even know what this item is but it's selling well so who cares all right so i created my account and here's my profile picture i know it looks great it's for one of my thumbnails i just put it there because i don't know what to put and um yeah i said i'm from new orleans louisiana okay so you might have made another mistake here it looks like you just created a facebook account maybe you don't have a facebook account already i know a lot of you younger folks don't have facebook accounts i think i'm aging myself there a little bit but for new accounts you are often going to see that you're not going to get something that's called the shipping option on facebook marketplace that is something that you really want as a drop shipper and it's harder to get it on new accounts you're more likely an older more established account so don't create a new facebook account specifically to do facebook marketplace drop shipping it's not necessary it could actually hold you back and when you're going to listen item you can actually toggle something on that says hey i want to hide my listings from my friends and family so that they don't know what i'm doing and that way you can kind of do it without kind of that judgment from your friends and family or fear of judgment we're gonna go ahead and try to set something up and i know you can't you know put a lot of listings on the new account and i didn't really have an older account so we're gonna have to stick with this which sucks with only one to two listings but we'll try it i also know that should not be the case you should be able to list up a lot more than one or two oh wow okay so i think we have to copy all the photos and the description everything of the other one and um okay i'm hoping we get a lot of listing views because i'm really not sure how to like get a lot of listing views okay the way you get a lot of listing views is product research and also when you list the item up for sale you want to make sure that the title is full of keywords that people are actually going to be searching for so you don't want to just use the default title that's given to you by amazon you want to change it up actually does this a lot and he's made over like five figures or something like that which is crazy on facebook marketplace drop shipping but um he's got over like 10 000 views on one listing and that's just crazy like how do you even do that i don't know but anyway um without boosting it too so whatever but i'm gonna go ahead and fill this all and then i'll be right back

all right so i literally just copied every picture and just put him in i'm not sure if he's supposed to do that or whatever just i don't know but anyway let's put the title in which is i'm not going to put this huge title in because you know nobody's really going to do that um i'm not sure how everything works on facebook marketplace with keywords and seo and everything like that okay so you're on the right track there man you got to fill it with keywords that title with keywords i'm just going to try to do what i do with everything else and make people want to buy it nice all right so i put it as 3-1 portable air cooler unit it's not a bad start but it's a little bit short you really just want to fill it up even more i wouldn't capitalize all the letters in the title either because that's not necessary at all capitalize the first letter of each word but you really want to do as many characters as you can in the title fill it up and just put a lot of keywords in there that people are actually going to be searching for um the price i think we're just gonna put you know i'm not sure i'm really not sure because okay it costs 36 um and everything like that uh okay i'm gonna try to sell it for about uh six uh sixty dollars we're gonna try to do sixty dollars okay so that's a bit random right there so i'm gonna give you a heads up there's a software you can use i my team developed a chrome extension called the drop shipping titans marketplace helper and what it will do is it will add a button to amazon walmart home depot you press that button and it will copy everything paste it into a listing here on facebook marketplace so you don't have to do the copying and pasting yourself and it will mark it up in price so you can figure out what you want to mark up your prices by you know you have to cover your facebook feed the cost of the item any sales tax you might pay and then more to make a profit you can put that into the software and then it will automatically do the calculation for you so you don't have to save you a lot of time and that way you don't make a mistake with the price either category air conditioners i guess condition is a new description i'm just going to fill out a quick description real fast all right so i just filled in the description i only just copied the amazon one and i know someone's gonna watch this video from my server or something like that my discord server and say i'm doing everything completely wrong which i'm probably doing you're not doing everything completely wrong but there's a lot you can improve on things wrong you know it's my first time ever drop shipping on facebook marketplace but you know the one thing i'll say you're doing absolutely right is that you're trying it most people don't even get started with this they don't even try they're like i'm not sure how to do this and you're just going for it you're like i'm not sure how to do this either but i'm going to try and i'm going to do it and that's how we all started everyone out there who makes videos about drop shipping on facebook marketplace ebay wherever they all had to take that first step try it for the first time even if they had no clue how to do it so it's awesome that you're taking this first step and actually putting in the effort and going for it when a lot of people won't do that so location uh let's put new orleans louisiana it doesn't matter too much um and yeah boost listing after publish i think that's what a lot of people do um they boosted some more people no i wouldn't use boost listings at first it's not really necessary there's so much organic traffic right now on facebook marketplace you're not gonna need to pay extra to boost your listings but the second toggle underneath that hide from friends that is what i was talking about you would probably want to turn that on if we don't get a lot of you know views or impressions on our listing that i definitely will probably try that out but uh yeah let's click next all right so we just listed the uh the

cooler and here it is i'm not sure how much more listings we can do um i'm gonna try to do some more okay so it didn't show the next screen of that but would actually ask hey how do you want to make this available to your customers they can either do local pickup or you can ship it to them that's the shipping option because not every seller has the option to offer shipping if you do you have the shipping option so that is what you want as a drop shipper it's going to really increase the number of sales that you get and again that's not usually available on new accounts so that's why it's better to use an aged account that you already have but you know it looks cool like who would not click on this bro it looks so cool it's freaking portable cooler everything like this um no comments or anything yet zero clicks holistic well um yeah whatever anyway i'm gonna update you guys in a little bit and tell you if anybody's clicked on the list so it's

been about a day and um i've come back with some news we're gonna check everything right now um how many clicks we got all the analytics and everything like that and i was talking to my friend who does this a lot he's made multiple five figures as i said before and she told me i need to do over a hundred and fifty listings daily but when i heard this 150 listings daily i don't know where he came up with that number from you definitely don't need to do that much maybe what he's talking about is hey if you really want to level up this game you want to just kind of go to the moon then eventually you want to get to point we're doing a lot of listings every day but 150 that is single day especially if you're gonna go in and optimize the titles which you really have to do especially when you're going to be doing the product research to finding the hot selling products which is something you really have to do if you want to do well you're not going to be able to do 150 listings per day and do quality listings but yes you do need more listings drop shipping normally you don't really have 150 products a day you normally just drop one product and advertise it and everything but um facebook marketplace that's for sure you're supposed to use that z drop thing just to find products and um it puts them on facebook marketplace really fast so that's why it's really effective and um yeah i wasn't really aware of that situation so i really don't think we're gonna get any messages at all or really any clicks on this because uh yeah we're supposed to do over 100 products i don't know how we're going to get away with this but anyway let's look at the analytics so three in one portable air cooler unit it only got one click on the listing yeah so since um yeah obviously nobody really cares about it um if i did a lot more products i think we could have got you know some messages and maybe even a purchase but um that wasn't the case and i didn't know i was supposed to do over 100. well this is at least i don't think it's because you don't have enough listings i think is because this isn't a product that people necessarily want you had to do the product research title optimization you know everything else i talked about in this video hey so i really like that blinkist gave this a shot tried it for himself that's a lot more than most people do there's obviously a lot that we can learn from this video he didn't make a sale he didn't get even more than just one click on this item and there's a lot of reasons for that so learn what you can from this video i think there's a ton to learn here if you guys enjoyed this video make sure to give it a big thumbs up i'll have his channel again linked up down below if you want to check it out along with a ton of resources i've linked there to my drop shipping titans marketplace helper that chrome extension i talked about my facebook marketplace drop shipping course my ebay dropshipping course if you want to check that out if you want to watch another video where i react to another youtuber who also tried drop shipping check out this video right here and i'll see you there in a second
