as the economic fate of our country remains unknown many resellers and dropshippers are reporting that their sales are down compared to the same time last year but are americans actually spending less on consumer goods or are you just selling the wrong products what's up everyone paul here from dropshippingtitans. com where i teach regular people just like you how to start your first successful drop shipping store right now we have certainly entered some difficult and uncertain times inflation is the highest it's been since the 1980s there are a ton of supply shortages and all of that is causing the price of many products to

skyrocket but despite that economists

are reporting that consumer spending is actually continuing to rise how can this be though when there are some drop shippers reporting that their sales are actually down well there's actually a simple explanation for this during periods like the one we're in right now there is a shift in the types of products that people will purchase in fact when it comes to certain products it doesn't matter what the economy is doing people will continue to buy them and if you hone in on those products you can still do really well as a drop shipper so let's jump into my computer and i'll show you what some of those

products are so it's kind of helpful to

think about this in terms of your own life as certain things become more expensive like traveling because of gas or eating out or maybe going to amusement parks whatever it is what are you more likely to spend money on to replace those activities now a common thing you're going to see is that people are going to be eating home much more which means they're going to need things in order to be able to eat at home so a very common item that has always done really well on ebay and facebook marketplace are food storage containers so i've come over here to zeke analytics which is a software that we use to help us do product research both for ebay and facebook marketplace it has a ton of different things that it does but right now we're going to be looking at the product research tool because all i'm doing is plugging in the word food storage container these are similar to like tupperwares or rubbermaids and it spits out all this data about them it analyzes about 100 products here more importantly down here we can see what are the top performing products that fit under the criteria of food storage containers so now these aren't necessarily items that are being drop shipped i should say by these sellers but it kind of gives us an idea of the types of items that are doing well then we can turn around and find those from a supplier and drop ship them ourselves so this top one wasn't really what i had in mind at all but this one right here definitely is it's just this guacamole preserver i guess so it's really just a tupperware kind of container but they've marketed as specifically for guacamole but you get the idea here but this is more what i had in mind right here like these 18-piece plastic food containers now this happens to be a vero brand so i wouldn't sell this exact one but if i could sell a similar product that is a brand that i can sell i would go ahead and drop ship this exact one and you're going to see these just kind of exploding in popularity that they've always done well but like this one right here these two have sold over 293 times and they're 20 we have ones like these 24 sets which are 23 and i've sold 1900 times so these are all really popular and as people eat at home more they want to be more frugal they want to save their leftover foods you're going to see these doing really well even if we do enter a recession or something similar to it other items that do well in terms of kitchen we also have skillets i plug that into zika analytics here and i really am using these skillets as an example but really any sort of kitchen tool right whether that's skillets whether those are spatulas i plug those in here whether it's utensils cooking spoons whatever it is all those things are going to become more popular as people want to cook at home save money by not eating out all those things are going to become important and you don't have to get too fenced here right this is just a three piece preseason cast iron skill set twenty four dollars that's sold 119 times and here's another non-stick fry pen 40 sold 83 times so definitely like these sets do really well and all these kind of cast iron pre-season skillets tend to be at the top of the list as well so those are things you might want to look out for this one for instance is a 12 inch cast iron skillet it's 20 it sold 34 times and zika analytics was able to determine that this actually is in fact a drop shipper which means that we can find this exact same product ourselves sell it ourselves and then we are able to actually pull in some of those sales and in fact if we come up to the top here right where the filters are i can actually filter these to show drop shippers only so all these items are ones that zeke analytics says hey these are probably drop shippers so let's look at this one right here this is a cast iron sizzling fajita steak skillet specifically for fajitas it's 29 it's sold 72 times and if i click on this symbol right here zeke analytics was actually able to find this and find this on amazon so we could actually drop ship this exact product ourselves i'm just going to go ahead and save this actually to my folder so i can review it and look at it later similarly here for spatulas we could do the same thing i'm going to filter this by drop shippers only and you can see just people that are drop shipping these items so some of these are obviously going to be pretty cheap like this is a spatula for just six dollars and 84 cents found the same one on amazon i'll go ahead and save that to my list right there because that's when i might want to go ahead and drop ship since zikanolix did all the heavy lifting and actually was able to find that exact product for me then there are

those items that no matter what people need to continue to buy even if they go up in price these are replenishable items that are used and then they need to be repurchased so think of things like napkins tissues toilet paper all sorts of things like that so in fact i came over here zeke analytics i typed in the word napkins and interestingly enough the results are not exactly what i expected because it's all of these kind of fancy napkins i was expecting just bulk packages of just regular napkins but all these kind of fancy napkins do really well on ebay apparently so if you are able to find these from a supplier they would do really well let's see if we can find the type that i was looking for so we'll do let's try bulk napkins and see what comes up here now i've come in and i've refined my search by typing in white disposable napkins and sure enough this is actually pulling up the type of napkins that i kind of expected here they are right here these members mark one ply everyday white napkins right 16 has sold over 350 times we have other ones like these are a little bit too cheap for what we're looking for but we see like these bounty disposable napkins like this is more of what we are looking for 20 for these ones these dinner napkins have sold 44 times so this is more of the type that we are looking for you can see that they do sell right some of these are selling many times next thing we looked up was toilet paper obviously we all know that toilet paper can be something that becomes very scarce and in very high demand but it also does well even when there aren't shortages of them so i mean just look at this one right here good example this two-ply toilet paper is 54 and is sold over 377 times and this has been identified as a drop shipper so this person is literally drop shipping this toilet paper you can go ahead and find it from your supplier and drop ship it yourself instead so you can get a portion of that obviously some things will also show up like these toilet paper holders we're going to talk about something similar to that in a second but any sort of bulk toilet paper people always want to get the best deal on it a lot of people turn to ebay because they know there are discounts available on there they think they're getting it at a better price then they can get it in store and we can go ahead and drop ship it like this one right here that's also being drop

shipped now another thing that you're going to see as people are trying to be more frugal is that they're going to do home renovations themselves things around their house will continue to break they'll continue to need to be updated or fixed and instead of hiring someone to do that a lot of people are going to start doing that themselves in order to do that though they're going to need tools and supplies now hand tools power tools things like that those are some of my most popular items all year long no matter what type of economy we're in but in particular i think during times like this you're going to see these doing better than other types of products so i typed in the zika analytics hand tools you can see it's doing really well and you can get an idea for what types of tools do well a lot of these are going to be sort of accessories so you see like a bit set right here and these different more bit sets then you also see like this precision screwdriver set any sort of sets are really great tools to sell because instead of just buying or selling a hammer that might cost ten dollars you might be selling like a screwdriver set like this which could go for in this case 25 and this one is sold over 600 times so sets are a really good way to sell higher priced items in a way that people actually think they're getting value out of it and will actually purchase from you so we see socket organizers what else here more screwdriver sets more socket sets so you kind of get the id here of what types of items are popular people love these sets just like i was saying 100 piece security bit set

right here now another thing that people

will continue to spend money on even if times are tough is anything related to babies people are going to continue to have children and they always want the best things for their baby in order to keep them safe in order to make them happy and they're willing to spend a lot of money to make that happen so things like strollers or things like car seats do really well all the time and they'll continue to do well you can come here and you can see how much people are willing to spend on strollers this one is a hundred and twelve dollars it's sold 200 times it's baby trends whatever this one is and this is a drop shipper that is selling this product so you can drop ship the same product yourself we have this three in one baby stroller seat with some sort of folding bassinet 224 dollars has sold 52 times here's another 100 so these are not cheap these are definitely higher priced items and they continue to sell really well also like i said we have car seats and come down here you can see thirty dollars twenty five dollars and these have sold actually this is not exactly what i'm talking about here let me refine this search we'll search for baby car seat there we go these are actually a lot more money fifty dollars sixty dollars ninety five dollars forty eight dollars a hundred dollars so i mean bam and people are buying these three hundred times 150 times this one 20 times 150 times so these are definitely popular items that are higher in price so these are ones that i would definitely concentrate on as well now

for some people like myself our children aren't humans they are canines or felines or other pets people as you know in america love their pets and are willing to spend a lot of money on them again this is true all year long but they will continue to spend money on them even when they don't have the money to spend on them just as one example i put in here the word dog bed and you can see you know these are like 15 but they're selling hundreds if not thousands of times and again this is someone that's drop shipping this item and they've sold it 6500 times no reason you can't drop ship that same product yourself so look at pet things whether it's pet beds pet food if you could find a good supplier for it pet toys all those sorts of things are going to do really well

another place that people are looking to save money is with their exercising gym memberships can be a lot of money and during times like this people see that and they cut it out of their life but they want to make sure they're still exercising so to buy things at home to exercise with a really popular item are these resistance bands but you can look at other things like weights and benches for bench pressing different things like that but i just threw in here the word resistance bands you can see these ones are about eleven dollars sold over a thousand times these ones it's not the most expensive items but you can find bigger sets that might be a bit more money like this one's twenty one dollars it's sold a hundred times so different things like this and these are going to do really well as people don't think that they can afford or justify the price of a gym

membership anymore and as people are

looking for cheaper ways to have fun and do different things one thing that more people are doing is going camping it's generally considered a cheaper way to have a vacation but they're still going to need to buy stuff to do that like camping gear i just typed in the word camping gear so you can kind of see some of the products but normally i look at individual products like tents or hiking poles or hiking backpacks or things like that but i would definitely come in here and spend a few minutes looking at these items camping hammocks for instance because these are going to do really well as people are looking for a cheaper way to vacation now we can't talk about

product research in september without talking about the most obvious one which is back to school supplies kids are going back to school they're going to need things for back to school whether the economy is doing well or not so look at things like notebooks children's backpacks all those things are going to be important now i

want to show you one other cool feature that i just discovered if we come over here to my products remember i was adding some products before that i had found that i want to sell myself so let's look at some of those products so i put it into this folder called product research and actually if i select all the items or any of them really i can click on the top where it says upload all and i can actually have them uploaded directly into auto ds and just click upload and auto ds is the software used to reprice and restack our items so it's really cool that just by clicking this these items will get pushed directly into autods i don't have to manually add these items myself which is pretty cool so i actually put a ton of
