How I Fixed My Slow eBay Sales with These Three Tricks! (Reacting To My Old Video)

your ebay sales have been slow then i have a three-step action plan to help you reboot your sales what's up guys paul here from drop shipping titan stock that's my old logo for my course drop shipping titans i always hated it now we just have a very clean kind of simple one. com and about a month ago i saw a dramatic drop in my ebay sales now we can speculate all day as to what happened but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is results so i got to work and i created a three-step action plan that got myself back up to where they were before and i want to share that with you today that's kind of the same attitude i still approach things with i do try to figure out why my sales might have gone down and we do see patterns like during the summer sales definitely slowed down after christmas but at the end of the day it almost doesn't matter and what's more important is how do we get the sales back up and that's always what i focus on and make sure to stick around to the end because i'm going to show you proof that this actually does work now i do believe that this action plan can help any type of ebay seller whether you're a drop shipper reseller thrifter but it's not going to help you if you don't have the right foundation in place this means you need to set up your ebay store correctly and understand the fundamentals of selling on ebay now if you are interested in starting an ebay drop shipping business i do have a course that explains how to do that and that is the first link in the description below that shows you exactly how i started my million dollar ebay drop shipping business but let's get into the three steps yeah and i still agree with that today i mean if you don't have things set up correctly your store is not going to do well and i see this mistake happening all the time my course dropshipping titans is still open for enrollment it's been updated many times since this video came out so if you do want to check it out i will have that linked up down below that's right now

starting with step number one which is promoted listings are basically a way for you to pay to get your listings ranked higher in the search results so let's go over to ebay and i'll show you exactly what i mean so for instance if we come here and search for brown wooden chair you're going to see here that these are the organic search results these are ranked based on ebay's super secret algorithm called cassini but if you scroll down you'll see ones that are called sponsored listings such as this one these are promoted listings these are ones that people pay to get here on the first page how they're ranked depends on how much the person is willing to pay and we'll go over more of that in a minute but look how powerful this is let's get one of these as an example right here at the bottom the one on the bottom we search for this title club chair emma brown you'll see that it only shows up once on page one and that is the sponsored listing so this person would not have ranked on page one of the search results but now they do because they paid for a sponsored listing okay so when i made this video in 2018 promoted listings were extremely powerful for the exact reasons that it just showed you and they worked really well for a number of years unfortunately ebay they did change the way that their promoted listings worked and they made them not as useful i should say not as powerful the biggest change that they made about a couple of years ago was that before that if you had a promoted listing you could actually show up twice on the search results page you could show up organically and your promoted listing would show up so it was really good to use promoted listings but as time went on they actually changed that and they said hey you're only going to show up once either organically or as a promoter listing what we've also seen is that ebay has put more of an emphasis on promoted listings where as in the video i just showed you had to scroll down to find those promoted listings now they're putting a lot more of them right at the top so they definitely want people to be using them but they're not making them as powerful as we want so what do i suggest now do they still work yes they still work but you have to experiment the unfortunate strange thing is that we're seeing that they work differently on different stores so what i encourage you to do is if you want to try promoter listings try them and if you see that your sales go up then great but some people actually see their sales go down when they start using promoted listings why the theory is that when you start using promoter listings then all of a sudden ebay stops putting your items up front organically and only shows your promoter listings because they want you to spend more money on promoted listings so it's just kind of nuts that is the way it is but try it out for some people it does help and actually will hurt their store so even if you're not able to get on page one you can with a sponsored listing but let's look at this one called traditional brown fabric glider right you'll see it's now showing up twice the first one is organic and the second one is spa yeah that's what i meant that will no longer happen in the search results on ebay so this person has now doubled their impressions

impressions now the number of times that your listing appears in a search result more impressions equal more clicks equal more sales statistically speaking and statistically speaking most buyers never go beyond page one of the search results and we still see that to be true i mean this is exactly why you wanted your items to show up twice in the search results which ebay has gotten rid of so powerful in fact yesterday 58 of my sales came from promoted listings so make sure that you learn how to do promoted listings on your own and run a promoted listing campaign of your own so let's get to step number two that has helped my sales a lot and that is to increase my sell-through rate a calculation commonly represented as a percentage comparing the amount of inventory a retailer receives from a manufacturer or supplier against what is actually sold to the customer for ebay that means the number of listings that sold at least once in the past month divided by the number of active listings in your store let's give an example let's say you have 80 listings that each sold at least once in the past month and you have 100 active listings in your store so 80 divided by 100 is an 80 sell-through rate now let's say you have 80 listings that sold twice in the past month and you have a hundred active listings in your store that's still an eighty percent sell-through rate remember the item has to sell at least once you can never have a sell-through rate that is more than a hundred percent now ebay secret algorithm favors buyers with a higher sell through rate so we want to keep it as yeah so this is still true today we don't quite know what goes into ebay's algorithm it is a secret but it has been most top sellers agree that sell through rate is really important we find that the higher this number is the more sales you will get as a seller close to 100 as we can and the best way to do that is to delete what i call stale listings and i still believe that this is true this is still the strategy i use today are what i consider things that haven't sold at all in the past 60 days or items that haven't sold in the past 30 days and are out of stock ebay really doesn't like items that are out of stock so if they are out of stock i'm gonna get rid of them faster than any other item basically what this means is items that are just sitting there and they're not selling get rid of them those hurt your sell-through rate and if they're out of stock and just sitting there because again you could have items in your store and those items will be out of stock just sitting there those are particularly harmful to your store harmful is a bit of a strong word but it's not good for your selfie rate so it's better to get rid of those items faster and that is still true today this

will require some work for you to do but spend a couple of days working on it hire a virtual assistant to do it for you have them do this on the first of each month or the same day of each month so that as you go forward you're continually deleting these items from your store that aren't selling well now we have finally arrived at action step number three which is just keep listening this has kind of become a motto for the students in my course because they hear me say it so many times but i because it's so important ebay really favors sellers who keep listing new items into their store and in addition it's going to reveal to you new items that have the potential to become some of your best sellers so just keep listing into your store and it's really going to help your store grow back up yeah and that is still true today as well obviously you got to be adding products into your store if you want your store to grow if you're adding new products and deleting out those stale listings those are really good things for your store the promoted listings the first one doesn't work as well anymore as it used to but it can work for your store again you have to try it yourself and see how it affects your store i don't know what i'm going to talk about for the rest of this video those are all three points i don't remember what i talk about for the next three minutes so let's find out before i

show you my results and proof that this does work i do have a favor to ask if you're getting value out of this make sure to give the video a thumbs up and if you want more tips and tricks for ebay make sure to subscribe to the channel but let's go inside my ebay account so i can show you proof that this actually is working so as you see before april 20th my sales were excellent i was doing four to five thousand dollars a day in sales april 20th and 21st drop in sales as you see here and i played around with a couple of things nothing was working too well until i started to do everything i showed you in this video and then my sales slowly actually pretty quickly climbed back up now i'm back over 4 000 a day in sales it's still the morning right now which is why this is only 8 30 for right now this is one of my accounts let me show you the other one so this is my other account it is a smaller one so it tends to go up and down a lot more before april 20th i was doing almost a thousand dollars a day in most days some days were over a thousand dollars april 19th was a little slow and april 20th was a very bad day for me on this account it stayed pretty low until i made these changes then it jumped up 125 in one day and at the peak after i implemented these changes it jumped from the sixth to the ninth over 250 jump right there it didn't stay up there but it's still doing really well this is very strong for this account so this does work but just remember that you do need to have that good foundation in place before you start seeing results like this and i do so fun to see all my numbers from back then and you know when this happened i still remember that april 20th i just felt like totally lost i was like oh my gosh there goes my entire business but after having done this for half a decade now ups and downs are normal with any business and including drop shipping you're gonna see numbers go up and down and look how fast this whole thing recovered it's recovered in just a matter of weeks that's totally normal like i said summers slow down after christmas slow down those ups and downs are completely normal for drop shipping stores so if i have a new tip going forward for all of you it's just to remember that you know have the faith learn a system and stick with that system and don't give up just because you see a drop like this because if you're willing to figure out what happened and how to fix it you know you can get your numbers back up there's always a way to make drop shipping work ebay drop shipping work and that's what i was showing you in this video so if you enjoyed this reaction video then make sure to go down below and give it a big thumbs up then subscribe to the channel because we are closing in now on a hundred thousand subscribers i would love for you to be part of the first 100k gang because i'm going to be doing a massive giveaway when we hit 100 000 subscribers so you don't want to miss out on that then if you like this reaction video and you want to see another one check out this video right here
